Palestine Authority Treasury Gets Half -Filled by USA
Nadene Goldfoot
Abbas and his Fatah people live in Judea and Samaria.  There have been terrorists from this group who are now residing in Israeli jails.    Unlike American jailbirds, these men receive a monthly wage from the Palestine Authority.  Of course, the more violent the crime the longer the sentence.  The longer the sentence, the more the salary.  This must be some kind of reward system of the Arabs to act out against Israel.  Hamas terrorists are included now in receiving salaries.

50% of the money in the Palestinian treasury comes from the USA and the rest is mostly from European Union member nations. As if that's not enough of a source, money is also flowing in from France, Britain, Ireland, Norway, Japan, India and the World Bank as well as from private donations into their general budget.  This was from the 2010-2011 budget.   The PA's budget is so vast that this money accounts for only 3.5% of its total budget.  If the sentence is up to 5 years, they receive 1,400 -2,000 NIS or tops $564.59.  If they serve 10-15 years they receive 6,000 shekels or $1,693.78.  The ones serving l5 years and longer receive 10,000 shekels or $2,822.97.  Those serving 20-30 years get 12,000 or $3,387.56.  These are people who were intentional murderers of civilians and they are rewarded.  These payments from the countries of the world to the PA remind me of paying the bully off so my lunch money wouldn't be wrestled from me.  It also happened in Chicago in the 20's when businesses had to pay off the criminals so that their stores would be left alone.  Their payments to the PA may not be so almighty altruistic:  or are they?

Some victims were American citizens.  Taxpayers in the USA are paying the salaries of murderers of Americans.  One of the latest victims was Ben Yosef Livnat who was gunned down in Shechem.  Shechem is so important to the Jewish history as it is the city where Abraham was told by G-d that he would be given the land.   Jacob settled here with his family.  It's in central Israel. It's on the route of the Patriarchs going from there to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Hebron.    I think this is one expense that should be eliminated immediately from our USA budget.

The Israeli jails are nothing like Turkish prisons. (True story of California lady tourist in Turkey put in Women's prison for buying a little figurine from a pestering seller on the street; Official later declared it was for buying valuable artifact)  Vacation is a more adequate descripition of being in jail for them.  They can mingle, have parties, study for advanced degrees, use facebook or even their 3G mobile smart phones.  They don't have to watch Israeli TV, but have their own Arab TV channels to watch.  Why is Israel being so kind to murderers?  Probably because the world is ready to pounce on any wrongdoing on their part, for they certainly don't care how many terrorists kill Jews.

Since 1967 600,000 Arabs have been in Israel's prisons.  Right now there are 8,000 political prisoners.  There are 11 Arab Syrians from the Golan Heights, 25 Jordanians, and 120 Palestinians with Israeli citizenship.
The wives and children of the terrorists receive more money.  If an Arab terrorist is an Israeli citizen, they receive a bonus.

Brain Washing Inside Palestinian Schools
Nadene Goldfoot
How does a state find so many willing martyrs ready to become walking bombs?  They start brainwashing children at a very early age.  This was displayed in a Palestinian kindergarten ceremony in a play put on by the children.  It was called "The Martyr's Wedding".  When they speak of the Martyr for Allah, they mean that he marries the 72 dark-eyed virgins of Paradise.   In this play that delighted the audience, they acted out roadblocks, occupation soldiers, and the death of the children as martyrs.  Then the audience did cry.  This is called Shalada, which is promoting the Islamic value of Martydom for Allah.

They are taught and sing about a Palestine that had been their home "no, it would not make us forget (Palestine).  Not at all."  This happens to be a lie, as there has never been a state of Palestine.  Most of them immigrated into the countryside when the Jews had returned and were building the cities once again.  They are not learning the true history of the country, only the make believe stories of their leaders.   Perhaps they are copying a prayer that Jews have been saying since the fall of Jerusalem in 70CE that says "May I lose my right hand if I forget Jerusalem".  However, taking one's own life is the last thing that a Jew would do.  For a Jew, L'Chaim is our favorite word which means "To Life!"

Palestine: Partner-to-be of Lebanon's Attack on Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
Lebanon has  become a terrorist stronghold supplied by Syria and obeying Iran, Ron Paul's "innocent" country.  They now have 50,000 rockets ready to use against Israel which is four times more than they had in 2006.  Villages near the border are now armed fortresses.

I remember when I lived in Safed and was on my way on a bus down the mountain in 1982 going to the hospital in Haifa to see about my broken arm when I saw our Israeli tanks and trucks on their way up.  They were going into Lebanon as the Palestinians terrorists had been killing the Lebanese Christian militia and Israelis who were helping Israel guard the border.  Sharon allowed his Christian Lebanese friend, Major Hadad and his men go in his place and they shocked us all by massacring their enemy  which got Israel into a lot of trouble.

Hezbollah, the Party of Allah, took over in May 2000 which in reality was a Shiite Muslim group with the backing of Iran fighting against the Sunni Muslims, Christians and Druze of Lebanon.  They went on to kill 241 US servicemen in Beirut.  By July they ambushed and killed 10 Israelis on the border.  Thousands of rockets were fired into Israel, killing 43 civilians.  Our great UN peacekeepers took over a month to impose a cease fire.  The Security Council Resolution 1701 allowed the international peacekeeping force to allow the enemy to get only 4 kilometers or 2.4 miles  from Israel's border.

If Palestine were an official state it would be able to aid and abet Lebanon against Israel as they both would have the same goal.  Palestinian terrorists are already being supplied by Iran with rockets and missles as it is.
Hezbolla trains Hamas militants and also works on arming Fatah and the Islamic Jihad.  Iran gives them diplomatic aid and weapons as well as $100 million per year for extras.

Right now Hezbollah has missiles from Iran capable of hitting all of Israel's ports and oil rigs off shore.  Between smuggling arms to Gaza by their friends, Israel's navy has to guard off-shore activities as well.

A large Muslim population lives in the Tri Border area of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina, known as the TBA.  The State Deppartment is investigating the possibility that Hezbollah and Hamas are fundraising there as it is known for its arms and drug traffic in this corridor.

The Sunni Muslims (Fatah and Hamas of Gaza and Judea/Samaria) and Shiite Muslims (Hezbollah  of Lebanon/Iran) are enemies at heart.  Look at what happened in Lebanon between the two groups.  During the Iraq-Iran War that started on September 22, 1980 a half million soldiers and civilians died from then till August of 1988 when it ended.  Iran  is 98% Shi'a and is an Islamic State and a theocracy while Iraq was 97% Shi'a/Sunni  with a state religiion and supposedly had a parliamentary democracy.  It was more a Shiite versus Sunni fight.  Iran may be backing these Sunnis now, but once in their pocket will overtake them.  Perhaps that is why they may be testing the waters of another arms supplier.

Israel Demonstrations About Housing Needs
Nadene Goldfoot with "Blintz" her German shepherd in Safed, Israel, February 1982.  She lives in the bottom apartment of one of the buildings with bars on the living room window to keep out terrorists.  It came with the apartment.

Israel is having internal problems of having sufficient housing for young adults to buy in Jerusalem.  There are mainly apartment buildings for people to buy  in the major cities in Israel, not family homes that we are used to in the USA.  They have become very expensive in Jerusalem.

The Interior Minister, Eli Yishai, has given his authorization to build 1,600 aparments in Jerusalem and is planning on approving 2,700 more in the coming days.  This will happen in East Jerusalem, the area the Palestinians are planning to take over as their capital.  Their plans have not included talking such things over with Israel and coming to terms of peace.

Israel has exercised de jure sovereignty (by lawful title)  in Jerusalem since 27 June 1967 and have stated that it will remain the undivided and eternal capital of the Jewish state.  In 2010 the Knesset passed legislation giving Jerusalem the highest national status in Israel.  It prioritized construction in all the city and offered grants and tax benefits to residents to make housing, infrastructure, education, employment, business, tourism and other events more affordable.

Analysts are saying that this building will probably hurt Washington in dissuading the PA that are planning to go to the United Nations to declare their statehood in September.  At one time, Israel's building in land obtained due to the 67 War was thought to be the impedus speed up the Palestinians' decision to sit down and come to peace terms with Israel, but it didn't happen.  Instead of allowing the land to go fallow in the past 44 years of indecision on the Arab's part, Israel is making use of it.  Abu Rudaineh is asking the USA and EU to pressure Israel to stop building. Saeb Erekat, Chief PLO negotiator calls the project of building a "war crime".

Israel needs housing badly. Demonstrators creating a rally have been taking over Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv by erecting tents there like a tent city to show their need for housing. They now plan to do it in Be'ersheva. One of the draws in Tel Aviv were free musical performances by many of Israel's top musicians who came and played at the rally.  A run is also being planned as a form of demonstration.

Israel was even mentioned with shock on Fox News as a place outside of the USA where demonstrators were active while in a discussion about why London was rioting and burning.

Jerusalem's Jewish history goes back to King David in 1010 BCE when he defeated the Jebusites and made Jerusalem the administrative capital.  It was captured in 597 BCE when Nebuchadnezzar razed it and deported most all the Jews to Babylon in 586 BCE.  It again came into the Jewish hands but was lost in 70 CE to the Roman attack.  It is the most important site in Israel and has been in the prayers every day to not forget it, and "Next year in Jerusalem" has been said every year since the loss.  Jerusalem is mentioned 600 times in the Tanakh (Old Testement).  One cannot deny that Jerusalem belongs to the Jewish state.  It took an act of G-d to bring it back into Israel's hands once again when Israel was attacked by the surrounding Arabs states in 1967 in what was called "Six Day War" and won despite the odds, something of a huge miracle. Because of the Arab action to eradicate Israel and its population, Jordan lost East Jerusalem.  It is not up for grabs.

25 Rockets Fired in July into Southern Israel
New terrorist groups are venting their anger at Abbas and their own Hamas leadership by striking Israel on their own.  These are affiliated with al-Qaeda and other global jihad groups, but not necessarily Hamas or Islamic Jihad, according to reports.   4 rockets had been fired in June.  They're stepping up.  Since January 2011, over 340 rockets and mortars fired from Gaza hit Southern Israel.  Israel's IDF holds the Hamas terrorist group solely responsible for any firing from Gaza.

While running to shelter, and people only have a few minutes to get there, 5 people were wounded and had to be taken to Ashkelon's Barzelai Hospital.

The Israeli Air Force responded with a strike on 4 smuggling tunnels and one terror base in Gaza.

Sirens and Grad Rockets Again in Southern Israel

After a quiet spell,   the air raid sirens sounded again Wednesday night in several towns and cities in Southern Israel.  People rushed to safe areas and shelters in order to take cover.  They only have a few minutes.  A Beduin woman was moderately injured by shrapnel from a Grad  rocket on Monday.

The Grad rocket exploded in Lachish, Kiryat Gat within Ashkelon's boundaries and damaged a road.  This is a longer ranged rocket and implies an escalation of this type.

Israel's answer came hours later with the air force retaliating by bombing targets in Gaza.

Israel:  JUST A LITTLE COUNTRY
                And It's Accomplishments

As sent from Nathan Fendrich

The Middle East has been growing date palms for centuries. The average tree is about 18-20 feet tall and yields about 38 pounds of dates a year.

Israeli date trees are now yielding 400 pounds/year and are short enough to be harvested from the ground or a short ladder .

Israel the 100th smallest country, with less than 1/1000th of the world's population, can lay claim to the following: The cell phone was developed in Israel by Israelis working in the Israeli branch of Motorola, which has its largest development center in Israel .

Most of the Windows NT and XP operating systems were developed by Microsoft-Israel.

The Pentium MMX Chip technology was designed in Israel at Intel.

  SOUTH SUDAN: New State Created
Nadene Goldfoot
Out of Sudan, a new state has been created: South Sudan on July 9, 2011.  It is populated mostly by Christians.  There has been an ongoing war in Sudan for the past 20 years involving so much killing that refugees sought refuge in  Israel and were cheering in Tel Aviv when the news announced its birth.

Sudan has been warring starting in 1955 and going on to 1972.  It started up again in 1983 and ended in 2005.  It is said that more than religion divided this people living along the Nile River.  Two million people have died in their war and four million in the south were displaced, causing many refugees to flee to Israel.

Sudan has been the 8th largest Muslim populated country in the world with 39,379,358  people of which 70% were Sunni Muslims.  They lived under an authoritarian republic.  The GDP was extremely low, $2,172 as of 2009.  The wars have probably caused it to drop even lower.  Iran's GDP is $10,624.  Israel is very happy about the creation of the new state and immediately offered any assistance they could.  Also, now the refugess in Israel have a safe home to return to.

Hamas Shells Southern Israel With Six Kassam Rockets
Nadene Goldfoot

On Thursday morning in Israel the siren went off just before a kassam rocket struck the Hanegev Region in southern Israel.  That afternoon 3 more kassams fell in empty fields in southern Israel again.  The evening also brought two more kassams.  Luckily no one was injured or killed, but nerves must have been jangled a great deal after such a day.

This time the Israeli jets retaliated by hitting two terror tunnels;  one in southern Gaza and one in northern Gaza.  These are one of the main  methods known that bring in rockets to the Hamas terrorists.  Hopefully these single-minded terrorists will be slowed down a bit.

Increasing Rockets Fired Into Israel
Another kassam rocket was fired into the Shaar Hanegev region of southern Israel yesterday by Hamas terrorists.  It landed about a meter from a home and damaged it.    Rockets falling into southern Israel has increased in the past few weeks.  The air force is responding.

Egypt's 1956 War Against Israel:
What That Was All About and What It Led To
Nadene Goldfoot
From 1947 on, Arabs told their people that Zionists were villains and they refused to sign a peace treaty with Israel. From 1949 to 1956 Egypt launched about 9,000 attacks from terrorist cells in refugee camps in the Gaza Strip.   Colonel Gamal Abdul Nasser, who wanted Egypt to be the leader of the Arab states,  seized control of Egypt.  The way to gain Arab support was to destroy Israel by cutting off its arteries to the world.

Israel obtained food and oil from East Africa and Asia through sea routes to Eilat.  The paths went through the Suez Canal and the Strait of Tiran which is between Saudi Arabia and Egypt , so Nasser cut off both routes.  He planted guns on the islands in the Strait and would attack ships going to or from Israel.

Egypt closed the Suez Canal to Israeli shipping in 1949.  On the 9th of August, 1949, the UN upheld Israel's complaint that Egypt was illegally blocking the canal.  Ralph Bunche, negotiator declared: "There should be free movement for legitimate shipping and no vestiges of the wartime blockade should be allowed to remain , as they are inconsistent with both the letter and the spirit of the armistice agreements",  and Egypt was ordered to open the Canal to Israeli shipping on the 1st of September 1951.  Egypt's response in 1954 was "The Arab people will not be embarrassed to declare:  We shall not be satisfied except by the final obliteration of Israel from the map of the Middle East."

In 1955, Nasser started importing arms from the Soviet Bloc in preparation of war against Israel.  On the 31st of August, 1955 he announced no peace on Israel's border because Egypt demands vengeance, and vengeance is Israel's death.

He brazenly challenged the French and English by also taking control of the Suez Canal who had built and operated it by nationalizing the Suez Canal in July 1956.  All three had their shipping routes in peril which was their lifeline. On October 25 Egypt signed an agreement with Syria and Jordan putting Nasser in command of all three armies.   On the 29th of October, 1956, Israel, Britain and France attacked Egypt.  The fight took 100 hours.  In an amazing show of strength, Israel conquered the entire Sinai Peninsula and Sharm al-Sheikh but England and France failed to seize the Suez Canal.  By defeating Egypt Israel ended their war of terror as well.

World pressure, mainly from the USA and Russia,  forced Israel to return the land to Egypt without a peace treaty but they did gain the fact that a United Nations army unit was created to guard Israel's border with Egypt and to make sure that all ships could get through the Suez Canal and the Strait of Tiran.

In 1964 the PLO was created, not to liberate the Arabs from Jordanian and Egyptian rule but to continue 40 more years of terror against Israel with the stated goal of "Pushing the Jews into the sea. First Kuwait sponsored this group, then Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Iran and others.  The PLO, now called Fatah, declared continued war against Israel until all of "Palestine" was liberated, redeemed in "fire and blood".  It is to be noted that during all this time there were no Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria or Gaza.  Arafat was talking about the whole teeny state of Israel within its 1949 "green line" borders.

Ten years of peace was too much for Nasser, so to remain a leader of the Arabs, he ordered the UN Emergency Force to leave and they did, then again blockaded the Strait of Tiran.  Israel's foreign Minister, Abba Eban questioned what the use of a United Nations presence was , when in effect, was an umbrella which is taken away as soon as it begins to rain?"  To have left when needed was unforgivable. The UN was useless for Israel.   No one challenged Nasser this time as the problem just dealt with the Strait of Tiran.  Neither Britain nor France stepped up to the plate, leaving Israel alone.

This led to the Six Day War on June 5, 1967 when five (5) Arab states, including Jordan, attacked Israel.
The attack  led to Judea and Samaria (West Bank) falling into Israel's control as they defeated Jordan who had illegally annexed this land 18 years earlier.  This led to the PLO's revision of its Covenant to include a "Palestinian" claim of sovereignty in the "West Bank" and Gaza Strip."

When Jordan had occupied Judea and Samaria, even Arafat noted  in 1948 that the Egyptians had herded the Arabs into refugee camps, kept them behind barbed wire and sent in spies to murder their leaders while executing those who tried to get away.  None of these so called "Palestinians" were protesting this oppression or talking about any need for self-determination they felt they had been denied.    That's because there never has been a state of "Palestine" and no concept of a separate political, cultural or linguistic entity representing their combined group of Arabs that could be identified ever existed.  They had come from the many corners of the Arab world.

Gaza Strip Continues Attacks on Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
On Tuesday the IAF were able to stop a terror cell and their smuggling tunnel in Northern Gaza.  They were ready to launch rockets into Israel and caught in the act.  .

Then today one of our IDF tanks was fired on by what was thought to be an anti-tank missile from the Palestinians. near the security fence. It could have also been a roadside bomb. The tank  had entered the Strip in southern Gaza doing their checking.

The Palestinians say that 3 bulldozers and 5 tanks had entered the strip and were about 300 meters from the security fence near the city of Khan Youris.  They also reported that the tanks had been firing at nearby homes.  The IDF related that the only firing they had done was in response to the rocket fire of the Palestinian terrorists.

Khan Youris is a city only 4 kilometers from the Sea yet is semi-arid and hot with temperature of 30 degrees centigrade (86 degrees F.) in the summer.  It  houses  leaders of both Hamas and Fatah.  Next door is a refugee camp started in 1948 that was populated by about 35,000 Arabs.

An IDF soldier was mildly injured, treated on the spot and then taken to the Beersheba Medical Center.

This attack on an IDF tank by a missile is a repeat of an event on March 18, 2011.  Israel patrols for several reasons; to look for tunnels whereby arms are brought in and to protect it's civilian population from terrorist attacks.

Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria: Why They Are Important and Why They Mustn't Go Back to 67 Lines

After the Six Day War of 1967, farming settlements were established along places of defense from more attacks by the Jordan River, near the "Green Line," in the the Golan Heights and near Gaza.  They were manned by the IDF and were crucial for defense.  This is because Egypt, Syria and Jordan were still at war with Israel for decades after 1967.  Jordan was in this state of war until 1994.   Also, the PLO were actively trying to create bases for terrorism in the territories that had previously been taken by Jordan.  It was planned and developed by General Yigal Alon and called the Alon plan.  In Hebrew these are called "nahal".

Jews had been living in Judea and Samaria long ago in biblical days.  Hebron had been populated by Jews almost continuously since the days of Joshua, 3,100 years ago.  In 1929 there were horrible pogroms against the Jews when hundreds were attacked and slaughtered.  Jerusalem was always populated by Jews as well.  In 1948 the war was centered there and about half of the population of the Jewish Quarter were massacred.  After the 1967 war, a small brave group of Orthodox Jews set up a few homes in the former Jewish section of Hebron.  Then a larger re-settlement of Jews returned to the reconstructed Jewish Quarter of East Jerusalem.  After that Jews resettled the villages of the Kfar Etzion area "Gush Etzion" SW of Bethlehem.  This had been extensively settled in the early part of the 20th century by Zionist pioneers.  Mobs of Arab irregulars had massacred most of the Jews of these villages during the 1948 war.

Places around Jerusalem and east of Kfar Saba and Natania which is near Tel Aviv and the NE area of Petah Tiqvah were unoccupied.  They were used as sites for building projects for low cost housing as the populations of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv were expanding.  In most cases this land was Jordanian "Crown Land', meaning no person could claim private ownership.  Jordan wouldn't have any peace negotiations after the war, so Israel's use of these unoccupied areas was legal because of Israel's sovereignty.  This was because it was created through defensive actions against the aggressor nation, Jordan.  There were a few cases where Arabs living in Judea/Samaria legally owned land and Israel wanted the land for projects, so Israel bought the land at fair market prices.  (The same thing happened in South Portland, Oregon in the city's renewal project.  They took over land of the Jews living there and paid them for it, but the price wasn't really fair at all.  They demolished synagogues, stores and  residences where people had lived for many years.) Arabs were profiting and continued to sell land to Israel until 1994 when Arafat 's Palestinian Authority was established and he said that selling land to Israel would be a capital offense.  This was so severe that some families felt they had to leave the area quickly or they might be killed by him.  Jerusalem grew so much that they had to accomodate areas of defense and surround Jerusalem. Before the war Jerusalem was surrounded on 3 1/2 sides by hostile Arab towns and villages with only one narrow road out.  Now French HIll, Ammunition Hill, Gilo, Ma'aleh Adumim and Har Homah became hi-rise suburbs that widened the city's perimeter .  Gilo had been built on privately owned land.  A Christian family in Beit Jalla sold the hilltop site to the city of Jerusalem in 1974.

Under Prime Ministers Begin and Rabin, other communities were developed.  Most of the time they were near ancient Jewish holy sites like Joseph's Tomb near Nablus, which was Shechem in biblical days.  The land they sit on was unoccupied or un-owned, and qualified as "Crown Land" which Israel had full legal rights to build and develop.  Any land owned by Arabs was purchased.  The knesset spent much time trying to decide of this was hurting the cause of peace that they wanted to achieve with the Arabs.  They decided it was fair and could be used in future negotiations if necessary.  Peace negotiations have not yet happened and it's been 44 years in waiting.

Sometimes a few villages were built and considered illegal or rogue because they were contrary to IDF or government instuctions.  When Arabs found someone had built on their land they were able to take the matter to court and were ruled in favor of the Arabs.  Some of these villages have been forcibly dismantled.  This is an internal problem for Israel as the Orthodox feel that all Jews should be allowed to settle anywhere in the Promised Land, especially where Abraham had lived.  This means Judea and Samaria from Shechem/Nablus to Hebron.  Prime Minister Sharon had considered dismantling any still standing, but became ill and it was not done.

International Law shows that all these communities, which some call settlements, are legal.  This is law from   the 4th Geneva Convention, which covers land conquered in an offensive war.  This was written to keep actions like those of the Nazis in Eastern Europe during WWII deterred.  Israel became sovereign over territories in a defensive war.  The fact that Jordan remained at war until 1994 means that the conquered population was hostile.  Israel never exiled any Arabs from anywhere except in 1992 when it deported about 400 terrorists to South Lebanon in trying to stop terror activities.  Israel had a policy of "open bridges" across the Jordan even though Jordan was still in a state of war with Israel.  Arabs came into Israel and that's how the Arab population in Judea and Samaria tripled from about 650,000 in 1967 to more than 2,000,000 in 1994.  Of course they were allowed to develop towns as well.  There were as many as 260 new Arab villages or expansions of existing sites.   Israel's presence did nothing to harm the Arabs' well being,  They created beneficial economic aids.  The League of Nations said that the disposition of such territory would be a part of the peace treaty between the warring parties.  Since there was no peace treaty, the territories remained in dispute.  They are to be called "disputed territories", not occupied territories.   Their occupation by the defensive party is legal.  The Charter of the UN accepts it.

Arabs have not been hurt by Jews returning to their land.  They have been hurt by their own people since 1994 when 96% of Palestinians living in Israel were then under the control of the Palestinian National Authority.  That's when the economy of Judea and Samaria and Gaza had been crippled.  They were then ruled by terrorists and it was not a democracy but had despotic rule.  Their GDP in 2003 was 1/10th of what it had been in 1992.  Because of Arafat and his terror, Israel had to stop attacks and protect its citizens.   and put in roads that had been there before to be used by Israelis only.  This was not the case before 94.  Arafat put an end to any possible co-existence between Jews and Arabs in Judea and Samaria and instead instigated them into hatred and murder.

For anyone to suggest that Israel must go back to the 67 lines and then dicker for land is way out of line.  Israel has a legal right to live in all of Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.  Anyone who decides to attack another nation such as the Arabs did to Israel in 1967 is also out of line and will  pay the price for doing so.
Judea and Samaria were originally part of Israel in biblical days.  It was going to be the Jewish land from the end of WWI when it was Palestine and under English control.  It was part of their package, but the Hashemite kingdom somehow cried loud enough to change the British minds, and Israel was given a crumb of the original loaf, and they accepted it.  By the greed and hatred of the Arabs, it has come into Israel's hands once again.

Another Ship from Canada Halted by Greece
Nadene Goldfoot
The  ship, Tahrir from Canada was halted by Greece.  They don't seem to want to comply with rules and regulations of Israel, the USA or the UN in their attempt to break the blockade of Gaza by sea.  This is the 2nd ship that was part of a depleting flotilla that Greece has recently stopped.  It is carrying about 50 Israel-haters.

Gaza's leaders are Hamas terrorists, voted in by the population.  Their goal is to destroy Israel, so it is war.  They have constantly been shelling southern Israel with missiles, rockets and mortars.  While Israel has the more powerful weaponry, it has to refrain from lots of retaliation due to internatonal condemnation.  After taking it for over 6 years, it finally reacted in Operation Cast Lead in trying to put an end to it. They were roundly criticized and condemned for finally protecting themselves, which shows how mentally sick the world has again become.

How people, even Jews, can side with the Gazan terrorists who want to completely obliterate the Jews of Israel who have bent over backwards to do the right thing to people who have tried to kill them, is beyond my comprehension.  They have stepped over the line of reason.

The Greek Navy is a group to be proud of in carrying out their role of policing the waters from their port of these invaders.  Thank you so much, Greece for helping your neighbor, Israel,  in these perilous times.  You show much bravery and courage and are a people who can be counted on.  You are truly carrying out a good deed.

Gazan Terrorists Play Russian Roulette Again With Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
A Kassam rocket landed in Israel's western Negev yesterday, fired from Gazan terrorists after a quiet of only two weeks.  The problem with these Kassams is that their primitivity means they have no guidance system and land wherever they land.  It's like Russian roulette.  The area they are pointed at is all civilian populated.  It could land in a field or on a child going to school.  Though it did not damage anything this time, a missile of this type is dangerous just the same.  What happened to the cease fire Gaza had promised?  Evidently we can't depend on their promises.

Palestinian Arabs and IDF Clash

Near the Jewish town of Kedumim in the Samarian hills, 200 Palestinian Arabs, both Israeli and foreign, clashed with the IDF soldiers there with some throwing stones at the soldiers.

Kedumim is a town with a population of about 3,500 people.  They have agriculture, greenhouses and orchards.  Their emphasis is on education.  The town is 36 years old and was started by people from Gush Emunim.

Kedumim has seen a lot of problems such as suicide bombings in the past.

2,000 Year Old Ossuary: Genuine  Found in Israel

Nadene Goldfoot
An ossuary made of stone to hold the bones of the deceased has been discovered and tested and deemed to be genuine.  The writings on it indicate it is the relative of the high priest Caiaphas who was mentioned in the New Testament as an adversary of Jesus.

It is of Miriam, daughter of Yeshua, son of Caiaphas the priest of Maaziah which is the name of a subset of the priestly caste, which would be the lineage of Cohens from Aaron.  She was from Beth Imri which is either a family name of the name of a village.  It could be both.

This ossuary had been plundered from a tomb in the Valley of Elah which is southwest of Jerusalem.   There have been false ossuaries brought to everyone's attention that turned out to be forgeries, but this appears to be the real mccoy.

 Terror Attack in Beersheba
Nadene Goldfoot
If not a terrorist, a meshugana attacked a 40 year old man with a hammer and then sprayed tear gas at a cab driver causing light to moderate injuries to them both.  They had to be taken to the nearby medical center for treatment.  However, the police think it more likely to have been an act of terrorism.

There isn't a man around that hasn't had IDF training, so this certainly must have come on quickly where they were unable to protect themselves or disarm the perpetrator.

I imagine this will put all civilians in a state of awareness at a higher level, now.  Trust is going to wane if it hasn't already of possible terrorists.

Beersheba (Be'er Sheva)  in the Negev is only 50 miles from Jerusalem.  It is Israel's 7th largest city with a population of 194,300.  It is an important city dating back to biblical days with Abraham and King David.

Eyes on Missiles Reaching Lebanon
Nadene Goldfoot
Lebanon has a population of 4,196,453 of which 60% are Shi'a/Sunni as of 2010. Christians are no doubt in danger.   Lebanon's neighbor is Syria with a population of 19,405,000 with 90% Sunni Muslims.  Syria is a collaborator with Iran with a population of 70,495,782 with 98% Shi'a Muslims, and both have the goal to destroy Israel.  Right now Syria is involved with a fight with rebels to take down the regime of their President Bashar al-Assad, who supports the Hizbollah terrorists.  Syria fired on protesters on Friday, killing 20 of their own people of which two were children age 12 and 13.  This is the country whose TV program I watched from Israel between 1980-1985 where their soldiers bit into puppies and snakes showing how brave they were.  To me it showed they were outright crazy.

Due to the fact that Syria is a little worried, they have moved hundreds of their long range Iranian missiles into Lebanon for safe-keeping.  This has been going on for the past two weeks.  Not only missiles, but Syrians are also entering Lebanon.  Some must be the rebels escaping persecution.  Others could be the missile caretakers.

In the meantime, Iran is having a military exercise on Monday trying out their various long range missiles.  Some are said to be able to reach the center of Israel and the USA military bases that are within range.  They continue to deny using their atomic capabilities for missiles.  Sure, and the moon is made of mozzarella cheese.

Israel, a population of about 7,441,700 of which 5,795 are Jews and 1,571,000 are Arabs who can be Sunni, Christian or Druze,  must watch their Lebanon/Israel border on the north.  They can be attacked at any time.  Gone are the days when Israel's pal was Major Saad Haddad of the Lebanese Christian Militia who helped to guard the border.  When he died, Hizbollah took over the area.   Now Israel must also watch what exits from Iran as well.

French Ignore Plea from UN:   First in Flotilla Against Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
Six Frenchman on their ship have left this morning from Corsica to be the first in the seas to be a part of the flotilla sailing to break through the blockade of Gaza.

The UN has put out the statement not to be a part of the flotilla.  Israel has every right to protect itself against ships that could be carrying weapons into Gaza to be used against Israel.  There is no shortage of supplies in Gaza, so they are only getting publicity for themselves to be used against Israel.

The rest of the fleet plans to leave next week and includes two freighters they say are carrying medical supplies.  They should reach the Gaza port by the 30th of June or 1st of July.

I hope they all carry cameras and plan to tour Gaza to see what a remarkable city it is without perishing from want.  Maybe they'll even notice the 300 trucks that go into Gaza every day delivering supplies that Israel brings.  They may even see Gaza with more produce than they have in their own home towns and will buy goods to bring back.

Israel is going to have to search every ship to make sure that they are not smuggling in weapons.  Hamas is getting them somehow.  Attacks on Israel have already started up again.   To me, by joining this flotilla, the participants are showing a complete lack of regard for Israelis' lives.  They have joined the side of Israel's enemies who wish to destroy her.  Why?  They do not believe Israel or even the reticent UN in the fact that there is no deprivation going on in Gaza.  They care not for what their bombardments have done to Israeli citizens.  They are siding with people who want to destroy Israel.

PLO Covenant Against Israel of 1968
Why Palestinians Refuse to Talk Peace with Netanyahu
Nadene Goldfoot
33 Articles reworked in 1968 use the word covenant showing how holy they feel these goals are.

Definition of a Palestinian: Arab nationals who were living permanently in Palestine until 1947.  They will also consider Jews as Palestinians who also were living permanently in Palestine until the beginning of the Zionist invasion.  The catch is that they consider the Zionist invasion to be 1917, the year of the Balfour Declaration.  They most likely don't even consider Jews born in Israel after 1917 staying.  They would kick them out.  So if you're 94 and older and were born in Israel, you can stay.  How nice.  They plan an expulsion of Jews like Spain did in 1492.

They feel there is no room for a Jewish state in their Palestine. Only the Palestinian Arabs have a legal right to self-determination, not the Jews.  Their Palestinian identity goes from father to son.  The Zionist occupation does not top them from using their Palestinian identity.  So even though a family has been living in the Lebanon for the past 3 generations, they are not Lebanese, they are Palestinians.  I can understand that.  My grandmother was born in Lithuania.  Though she didn't move away, Lithuania found itself in Poland and then again in Russia.  She maintained that she was a Litvak through it all, even after moving to the USA.  But that was my grandmother.  I am not a Litvak.  My grandmother's family were Litvaks.  We are still all Jewish beause that is our religion, not our nationality.

They only consider one way to liberate Palestine-that is by armed struggle.  They want to eliminate Israel.  They expect their people to prepare themselves for war, to sacrifice their wealth and life to restore the land to themselves.  It's a national duty.  There is to be no peace or compromise with Israel.  Their 3 mottos are:
national unity, national mobilization and liberation. They are against being absorbed by their Arab brethren.

All Arabs and their rulers must unite against Israel and do all they can to support violence to destroy Israel.
We here in the West thought they were rioting to attain a democracy.  Here it is to get leaders in that are against Israel.

They're changing their image with what they say to others, like they no longer use the slogan, "Throw the Jews into the sea,"  as this was getting bad press.  Another bit of two facedness they don't mean is saying that their goal is to have a "democratic Palestinian state" with freedom for all religions."  They don't mean a word of it.  It's just their propaganda.  It was adopted in 1965.

The PLO murdered and destroyed the Lebanese Christians.  Lebanon was a unique state with a minority of Christians who held presidency.  For revenge, the Christians killed a whole group of them in 1982.  They didn't  treat the Lebanese citizens with dignity and respect.  They even are divided now between Hamas and Fatah, both part of the PLO terrorists then, and have killed each other in the war for power.

Anything they do to destroy Israel are called "defensive" acts.  They figure Jews cannot have self-determination.  What happend in 1947 doesn't count at all.  They don't see Jews as a people like they see themselves.  Jews are only members of a religion.  They're busy denying any of the Jewish history recorded in the bible.

Any turncoat Palestinians trying to be moderate and would go for peaceful resolutions to the conflict are to be murdered and/or intimidated.  There can be no settlement based on compromise.

They consider Zionism as the enemy of the world.  They compare Jews to Nazis.  They call on the 3rd World Nations to support them against the "illigitimate" Israel.

Article 24 states that they believe in the principles of justice, freedom, sovereignty, self-determination, human dignity and the right of peoples to exercise them, but just not to Jews of Israel.  Saying this, they still rely on terror for everyone, and deny them to many Arabs.  Again, it's a propaganda motto.

They have the PLO as the leader umbrella organization for all terrorist groups  that are fighting Israel.  At this time, they are still debating who will be the head leader, Fatah or Hamas.  They say they will not interfere with other Arab states but have meddled in Jordan and Lebanon which has brought destruction to those states.  Now they have their own internal problems of leadership.  The PLO had close connections with Saddam Hussein in Iraq.  Arab governments can manipulate the PLO for their own reasons.

They consider it their duty to terrorize countries that are friendly to Israel.  Because of this fear, European governments have freed almost all the Arab terrorists caught in their countries.  How nice it is to be able to hide in so many lovely countries and get away with terrorism!  Just be a terrible bully!

Hamas says that the Day of Judgement will not come abut unil Moslems fight to kill the Jews.  They quote the Koran in this:  when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees, the stones and trees will say, "there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.. Their only solution is Jihad.  To them, it's a waste of time to have any initiatives, proposals or international conferences.  We shouldn't deal with these vain endeavors.  To them, Palestine is an Islamic land and that's that.

By reading these "covenants" I can see why they have acting in these strange ways with Netanyahu.  He has vainly tried with all his might to come to some way of achieving peace.  We have given up all of Gaza, and so much more only to have all our endeavors slapped back into our face.  I hope Hillary and Obama read these goals and come to the realizsation of what Israel has to deal with.  It's a mind-set still stuck in the 700's.  Peaee is the last thing on their minds.  Their sickness is viral and has infected their whole people.  During the past 63 years I can see so many nations and peoples that have just aided and abetted them.  They have showed fear, have cowtowed, and have unknowingly built them into the fighting force they are.

West Bank Arabs Rioting Against Israelis
Nadene Goldfoot
The Middle East is in an uproar with countries trying to overpower their Kings and despots.  It's been affecting the Arabs of the West Bank as well.  May saw a lot of rioting going on.  Israel's remembrance of it's birthday saw a lot of Arabs rioting, as well as on Jerusalem Day in June.  Their disappointment in our success was displayed in their Nakba Day, and was again celebrated with rioting.

Riots started on the Friday the 10th this month.  It happened at the Western Wall near the Moroccan Gate after the Muslim prayers and continued with around 200 people in a village with people armed with bats and iron chains who also burned a Jewish hut, tent and holy books in the prayer corner.

There have been quite a few flare-ups of rioting and stone throwing, and worse over the past three days in the West Bank against Israelis.  Each riot involves about 50 Arabs attacking border policem or IDF.  Bilin has seen 50 rioters, Dir Nizam 50, Umm Salamana 50, SE of Ramallah 40, and Qalandiya 100.  The border policeman there was lightly injured.  The rioters were throwing flares at the soldiers and firebombs, molotov cocktails and many many rocks.

There are two villages northwest of Ramallah in the Judea/Samaria area.  One is the Jewish village of Nili.  A few men were using bulldozers on their land.  About 50  Arabs from Deir Qaddis didn't like that at all.  They were thinking that the Jews were coming too close to their property, so they went out and stoned the soldiers that were protecting the Nilins.  They didn't just throw little stones, they were heaving huge ones in what turned out to be a big riot.

One soldier was attacked in this violence so badly that the stones shattered his leg.  Then the crowd all advanced towards him even closer while still throwing stones.  He opened fire into the air, then as they quickly came closer, shot at them with him live rounds.  Another soldier was also wounded in the spree.  The soldiers then used rubber bullets and tear gas on the attackers.  Several Arabs were injured.

Four more villages saw riots, another involving 100 rioters, one with 50 and two more with 30 people each involved.

Everyone is pressing Israel to sit down to talk peace with the Palestinians, but they haven't even decided who is going to head up their people, Fatah or Hamas.  That's still undecided.  Besides, that, their people are rumbling against Israel, showing that they haven't got peace in mind at all.  Besides the people heating up, so is the temperature.  It was Abbas of Fatah who refused to sit down and talk.  Now it's Abbas who is going to have to show the world and Israel that he is ready to make peace after all, and the big step they must take is to finally accept a Jewish Israel in the midst of their Muslim territory.

New Tactic for July 21, 2011 By Gazan Arabs
Nadene Goldfoot

The Palestinians are planning to go to the U.N. in September to get votes for creating Palestine without sitting down to the table with Israel to talk about peace.  Obama is even against this and said the two countries must first agree on a peace plan before this happens.

This doesn't deter them.  They're still planning on using force to create their state instead of having to get along with Israel by making peace.  They are planning a Day of Loyalty on July 21st where they have sent out a message on facebook for all Arabs everywhere to form a human chain and to gather outside Israeli embassies first.  This is to pressure the international community to accept them as a state.

Again, Israel cannot allow an immense human chain to break their way into Israel as no country would ever allow such a thing.  They are trying to cause deaths and injuries on their side to gain sympathy, and therefore their absurb way of getting recognition.  One wonders if all these people don't mind leaving their jobs and families to do such a dangerous stunt where they might lose their lives.

It looks like Britian might cave into this type of pressure and do so.  It doesn't take much for England to be anti-Israel. England has had a long history of anti-semitism,  as did much of Europe,  and were not very helpful in the beginning of Israel's existence.   In fact, they made promises they did not keep.    Here we have Israel going through all the hoops with England getting established legally in the U.N, and yet they might throw all this out by allowing in a state that professes to have as its goal to destroy Israel.   To allow a Palestine now is to be against Israel.  The Arabs already have at least 47 states where the majority population is Muslim.  It's not like they have to have another one in order to survive.  That's exactly how Israel feels.  This is our only Jewish state in the world, and the world should know how anti-semitic they have beeen in history past and present to understand how we feel.

The 47 largest Muslim dominated states in the world are as follows in order of population size from 100% to 50% Muslim: Indonesia, with 228,582,000  of which 86.1% are Sunni Muslims, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Algeria , Afghanistan., Morocco, Iraq, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Syria, Kazakhstan, Niger,Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, tunisia, Guinea, Somalia, Azerbaijan, tajikistan, sierra Leone, Libya, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Chad, Lebanon, Kuwait, Albania, Mauritania, Oman, Kosovo, The Gambia, Bahrain, Comoros, Qatar, Djibouti, Brunei Darussatam, and Maldives.

Saudi Arabia is 100% Sunni Muslim but is not counting the whole population.  All Saudi citizens are regarded as Wahhabi, but they have over 8 million foreign workers in the country that are not citizens.  Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy of 27,730,000 Muslim citizens.  There is no data or information about their religious beliefs of the workers, but you can count on one thing; they are not Jewish.  They are most likely Muslims of other sects and perhaps Christians

June 5th-6th Invasion of Israel 2011

Nadene Goldfoot
So far, 4 Syrians have been killed in their attempt to invade Israel.  About 10 have been wounded.  Israel IDF warned them first in Arabic and then with warning shots before taking more serious steps.  Syria did not attempt to turn their people away from this. Last month they had actually goaded them, more likely.  The Syrians are having their own troubles and were trying to get rid of attention on themselves.

Lebanon did, however.  They tried to prevent their citizens from the invasion.

Judea and Samaria saw about 200 Palestinians marching to the Kalandia crossing into northern Jerusalem.  They threw rocks at the soldiers.

In the meantime, the French had been trying to get Netanyahu and Abbas together for more peace talks, and Netanyahu politely thanked him for his help but said that it was impossible to negotiate or to attain a peace agreement with people devoted to their destruction.  This is so logical.  It seems to me that France could work on getting the Arabs to see the error of their ways first and come around to accepting the fact that there is indeed a Jewish state in their midst that they need to make friends with first.  Let's see.  How did we ever get Hitler's Germany to become peaceful?  Hmmmm.  I note that we weren't trying to obliterate Germany at all, just come to peace.

Resource: Arutz Sheva
Fox News, reported by Rina: about 13 Syrians now killed according to Syrian TV.  70 Syrians have been killed by Syrian government who were trying to overthrow their government.  I saw the picture of the attack and of throwing rocks; very scary.  It sounds so mild just writing about it, but the scene is all violence.

Planned Invasions on Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
This weekend will be the scene of a mass march upon Israel from the Palestinians and their cohorts.
"The "Naksa Day" demonstrations are the latest addition to a comprehensive strategy intended to de-legitimize the State of Israel. A newly created day of protest, an-Naksa ("the setback" in Arabic) aims to commemorate the Arab defeat in the 1967 war where Israel preemptively struck against enemies following aggressive actions against Israel.

Israel is intent on maintaining a peaceful state of affairs but must preserve its territorial integrity, as well as the obligation to protect its civilians."

A flotilla will be coming supposedly the end of June or in July to breech  Israel's blockade on Gaza  even though the UN secretary has advised flotilla participiants not to do this.   Israel knows that Hamas in Gaza have stockpiled more than 10,000 missiles already and somehow the number is growing.  In April 9th Hamas shot 133 rockets at 7 Israeli cities.  Egypt, under their new leadership, has opened up Gaza with an entrance to Egypt.

Now the Palestinians have planned a fly-in for July 8th.  500 people have planned to fly in to protest the security fence in Judea/Samaria.  They don't want to accept the fact that this is keeping more Israelis alive than when they didn't have it.

Palestinians plan on flying in from Europe, North and South American, Asia and Africa.  Most will be flying out from Germany.  There are 15 other organizations including the ever-there International Solidarity Movement who also have weekly protests planned.

The Hamas linked website is telling people to take commercial flights on Saturday and Sunday for marches, rallies and most likely riots in Israel.

Their practice session was in May when Israel commemorated their 63rd birthday.  Some were killed during that invasion.  Israel is more prepared now.

Israel Ready for 1967 Six Day War Remembrance

Nadene Goldfoot
On behalf of Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, Hamas Palestinians and others marched into Israel on May 15th to remember regrettably their Nakba Day when Israel was deemed a state in the UN in 1948.

After that invasion, Israel is ready for them to remember the Six Day War this June when Israel won after being attacked in 6 days.  That 3rd large war started on June 5th and ended on June 10th.  Egypt (then called the United Arab Republic), Jordan and Syria along with Iraq had circled Israel .  They had 465,000 Arab troops made up of many Palestinian guerillas of Fatah, the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, 2,800 tanks and 800 aircraft ready to attack.

This all started when Israel was trying to make peace with Egypt, who were also not about to recognize Israel.  At the same time, the USA and France put an embargo on Israel so that she could not receive anymore arms.  At the same time, the Soviets supplied the Arabs with all their arms.

Though we may have Ha Shem on our side, the war was also won through the blood, sweat and tears of our young IDF soldiers.  It wasn't fun being in a tank on the Sinai desert in June.  My neighbor in Safed was one of those young men and suffered a great deal from it.

Netanyahu has given directions to Israelis to protect our borders but to use restraint as the Arabs think of this as their Naksa Day.  Nothing like an invasion to remember what we had gone through 44 years ago.

Not Occupied Territories
Judea and Samaria are not occupied territories.  They are really disputed territories.  In 1967 Jordan was illegally occupying them and had been in 1948 without any legal claim.  Therefore, Israel won the War of 1967 and gained them from Jordan, one of the countries attacking Israel.

The following video explains it all.

Illegal Flotilla Due End of June
Nadene Goldfoot
15 ships are expected to come and provote Israel by trying to break the blockade on the Gaza Strip.  Israel has Gaza blocked because of their control by Hamas, a terrorist organization whose goal is to destroy Israel.  Hamas shells Israel, demonstrating that they are not peaceful, and that they are sticking to their charter which says they are out to destroy Israel.  Israel is making sure that any ships coming are not carrying weapons that would be used on Israel.

The ships are from the Turkish IHH organizsation.  They are also coming from the Hamas instigated "Free Gaza Movement."  The end of June is the expectation of when they will arrive.

According to International Maritime Law, Israel is within their rights.  The law is that Gaza fishing boats can  be 3 km from the Strip but other ships can't be within 20 km of Gaza.  Israel is within the law to intercept and take control of any ship that declares their intention to sail to Gaza, even when they are not yet in an area that close to it.

The intention of this flotilla is to provoke Israel.  The U.N. Secretary has said that it is illegal.  The one last year was illegal also.  Gaza is not hurting for anything except possibly weapons to be used against Israel, and yet they have found ways to get those.  Trucks from Israel go in all the time with necessary supplies.

One thing the people could do to make life perfect would be to vote in a group that is not Hamas and would have peaceful intentions wanting to be good neighbors of Israel.  Voting in a group bent on Israel's destruction is not a wise thing to do if they want Israel to lift any blockade.  Israel must do this for their own self preservation.  Groups that are sucked into the Gazan propaganda are only helping a side bent on destruction of Israel.

The Meaning of 1967 Lines

Nadene Goldfoot
Caroline Glick makes it very clear that going back to 1967 lines is giving into a policy that means everything else will be determined by giving into the Palestinians.  Going back to the 1967 lines means abdicating Israel's Jerusalem.  Jews and Christians couldn't enter before 1967.  This is the heart and soul of Israel.  How can anyone expect Israel to do that?  Going back to 67 lines means abdicating the cities established for over 30 years in Judea and Samaria.  No, this is impossible.

Netanyahu had said that he would make concessions, but these most likely were not what he had in mind.  It reminds me of shuk bargaining.  When you are in the open markets in Israel, the seller asks an extremely high price, knowing he will come down, and the buyer give an extremely low price.  If the buyer wants it bad enough, they soon come to an agreeable price and the deal is made.  This is the way of all open markets there.  Abbas and Netanyahu are used to bargaining with items found in a shuk.  I know that Netanyahu knows he has to make a deal, but he isn't about to give away the baby with the bathwater.  A fair deal has to be made.  I doubt if Obama has ever experienced such bartering.  One has to have the mindset for it.

First of all, this union of Fatah and Hamas clearly now is a union of not recognizing Israel and by uniting Fatah is accepting their charter of destroying Israel.  Netanyahu was trying to sit down with the Abbas to make peace but he won't even come to the table without Israel giving into the 1967 lines first.  This is not acceptable.  Yet it looks like most of Europe is also demanding this condition that none of them would accept for themselves.

Fatah has been very busy behind the scenes getting countries all lined up to recognize their state while they won't recognize the 63 year old Israel.  They must feel that they don't need a peace pact with Israel.  They're going to get their own way regardless.

Holland  Affirms Israel is Jewish State
Nadene Goldfoot
Holland affirms Israel as a Jewish state.  After declaring this on May 14, 1948, I would have thought this isn't necessary, but evidently it is.  Holland is also urging the EU not to recognize a declared Palestinian statehood.  They also realize the dangers in a one state situation of both Jews and Arabs and that it would then no longer be a Jewish majority state.

This is a brave stand for Holland at a time when practically all other countries are caving into appeasing the Palestinians and have signaled that they are recognizing a future Palestine.  Canada is standing with Israel, also.  The United States has said it would as well.

The Palestinians say they declared their state in 1988.  All that remains is stating what the border is.  They also declare East Jerusalem as part of their state which they intend to have as their capital.  It's the old story of whatever the Jews have, they want.

Abbas has focused on Latin America for several reasons.  One is that he speaks Spanish.  Costa Rica recognized them in 2008.  Since then Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia and Equador have recognized Palestine.  Paraguay says it must be within the 1967 borders.  Chile and Peru go along with the proviso of the borders being mutually agreed to.  Columbia is waiting for a peace agreement.

France and  Britain are ready to recognize a Palestine.  Germany has come down hard on Israel but still says it won't recognize them without Israel's okay to the deal.  Norway is going along with it, it looks like.  Spain is quite positive about supporting it.  Brussels is all for Jerusalem to become the future capital of Palestine, then also says it should be for the two states as well.  Denmark and Ireland have upgraded their status in their eyes.  This is almost saying they are all for their state.

The Palestinians have not fullfilled the Quartet's provisos in establishing their own state.  Being they have goals to destroy Israel, it is shocking beyond words to me that countries would sign onto such an agreement.
Caving in and allowing a murderous state is not going to turn them into nice people.  They'll just think they have the green light to do as they have wished; destroy Israel.

Oh, how easy it is for these states to okay a Palestine.  After all, it's nothing of their concern.  What do they care that Hamas wants to destroy Israel.  It's only in their charter to do so.

Rocket Landing in Southern Israel Once More

Nadene Goldfoot
Southern Israel has experienced six weeks without any rockets or missiles, but that stretch was just broken by a rocket from Gaza landing on Saturday in Southern Israel's Eshkol region.  It landed without hitting anything, but one never knows where these things will land.  The last one had hit a yellow school bus.

Along with the rocket, Israel has been told to not interfere with the Flotilla coming with who knows what for the Gazans.  It could be holding anything from potato chips to more missiles.
