IRAN

 Nadene Goldfoot

President of Iran, President Raisi, a puppet.   (14 December 1960 – 19 May 2024), age 63,  better known as Ebrahim Raisi, was an Iranian politician who served as the eighth president of Iran from 2021 until his death in a helicopter crash in 2024. He was a Twelver Shia Muslim jurist and part of the Principlist group.

Pezeshkian, a chip off the old block like Raisi, no doubt;  both okayed by the Ayatollah. trying to grow a beard like Raisi's, I see.  He's only been president for a year and 5 months.

The Ayatollah is said to still be in Teheran but is preparing to flee to Moscow.  No doubt he'd come back if Pezeshkin was still available.

Masoud Pezeshkian currently serves as the president of Iran, after being elected in the 2024 Iranian presidential election and being officially endorsed by the supreme leader. the Ayatollah.  Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is currently navigating major nationwide protests over severe economic issues and calls for political reform, while also dealing with regional tensions, including threats from Israel after a reported assassination attempt in mid-2025; he's publicly urging unity, promising dialogue, but also warning against "rioters," maintaining a balancing act between addressing public grievances and controlling unrest.

What with the Internet closed in Iran, we're depending on film taken by individuals who have beaten a path to our TV sets somehow, and what we see are streets at night full of bonfires for light and maybe for heat to eat some found food.

Thousands have been killed in Iran as the people attempt to topple the evil regime, and still no military response from the U.S. despite President Trump's warning to hit Iran very hard if it kills protestors. The world is watching how this plays out.

This time they have much to topple;  a government who wastes all its money on giving it away to terrorists to fight for Allah, their concept of what G-d wants them to do;  which means it's been going to terrorists such as al-Qaeda, Hamas, Houthis in Yemen, etc.

Shahab 3 missile is a family of liquid-fueled ballistic missiles developed by Iran, under the IRGC, and based upon the North Korean Nodong-1/A and Nodong-B missiles. The Shahab-3 family has a range of 1,000-2,000 kilometres (1,200 mi). It was tested from 1998 to 2003 and added to the military arsenal on 7 July 2003, with an official unveiling by Ayatollah Khamenei on July 20. It has an estimated accuracy of about 2,500m CEP.
Up goes the Shahab 3, and where does it stop?

According to the IAEA, Iran in the early 2000s may have explored various fuzing, arming and firing systems to make the Shahab-3 more capable of reliably delivering a nuclear warhead.  (Where have they kept them all;  so many models !)

The people's economy has gone into the trash can.  No money, no food, no water with a dangerous water shortage that needs all their concern, so they have nothing but international continental missiles packed with nuclear war-heads...possibly...in their hide-outs.  Or, perhaps, and we're hoping like everything, that Trump's air-force bombers hit them all and destroyed them;  a hope needing verification so that we all can sleep comfortably.

Revolutionary Guard Troops, waiting for the nod, like dangerous robots
I know that the people are going through the worst of times;  to be compared when Rome Attacked Jerusalem in 70 CE.  People are desperate.  I cringe when I hear the numbers killed by the Revolutionary guard of Iran, and wonder why they haven't joined in with the people's demonstration.

Here's what al Jazeera reported on the 11th, today that happened:

  • Nationwide demonstrations, the largest in Iran since a 2022-23 protest movement spurred by the death in police custody of Mahsa Amini, continued to take place across the country.
  • The semiofficial Tasnim news agency reported that 109 security personnel have been killed in the protests.
  • Opposition activists say the death toll is higher and includes hundreds of protesters.
  • Al Jazeera could not independently verify either the government’s or the opposition figures.
  • The Iranian government declared three days of national mourning for the “martyrs”, including members of the security forces, killed in the two weeks of protests, state television reported.
  • Demonstrations took place in London, Paris, Berlin and Istanbul in support of protesters in Iran.
  • Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian pledged to address economic grievances, saying his government is “ready to listen to its people”, while accusing the US and Israel of trying to “sow chaos and disorder” by directing elements of the unrest.
The people are being directed by the Shah of Iran's son, who will join them as soon as it is possible.  He's all for a Democratic election when the time comes.

Pezeshkian, Newest President of Iran From 2024 And His Part In Present War

 Nadene Goldfoot

Masoud Pezeshkian (born 29 September 1954)  71 years old,  is an Iranian politician who is the ninth and current president of Iran since 2024.Masoud Pezeshkian officially became the president of Iran on July 28, 2024, when he received the formal endorsement from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He was then sworn in before the parliament on July 30, 2024. A member of the reformist faction, he is the oldest person to serve in this position, taking office at the age of 69.  He had been a cardiac surgeon, so he should be pretty sharp.  Masoud had been a doctor for Iranian soldiers in the Iran–Iraq War (1980–1988).  After taking office as president, he stated that Iran would continue to support the Palestinians in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.   Pezeshkian accused Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Iran's current Supreme Leader, the highest religious and political authority, is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has held the position since 1989, succeeding Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.  Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei (born 19 April 1939) is an Iranian cleric and politician who has served as the second supreme leader of Iran since 1989. His tenure as supreme leader, spanning 36 years, makes him the longest-serving head of state in the Middle East and the longest-serving Iranian leader since Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.  He will be 87 years old on April 19, 2026.

Since the Ayatollah holds so much more power than the president, how does he get along with him?  Pezeshkian is a teacher of the Quran, and a reciter of the Nahj al-balagha, a key text for Shia Muslims,

Pezeshkian began his presidency by continuing support for the Axis of Resistance in the Iran–Israel proxy conflict. He presided over the October 2024 Iranian strikes on Israel in response to Israel's assassinations of Hamas leader Ismail HaniyehHezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and Iranian military officer Abbas Nilforoushan

Pezeshkian hoped to revive the agreement with the United States regarding Iran's nuclear program, in exchange for lifting the international sanctions against it.

Iran has launched several direct attacks on Israel involving missiles and drones, primarily in April and October 2024, and the June 2025 Iran-Israel War.

  • Date: April 13–14, 2024
  • Details: This was Iran's first direct attack on Israeli territory in retaliation for an Israeli strike on its consulate in Damascus.
    • Munitions: Iran launched a large combined assault of approximately 170 drones (including Shahed-136 and jet-propelled Shahed-238 loitering munitions), over 30 cruise missiles, and more than 120 ballistic missiles from Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen.
    • Outcome: The majority (99%) of the incoming threats were intercepted by a coalition of forces including Israel, the U.S., UK, and Jordan, causing only minor damage to the Nevatim Airbase and injuring one Israeli civilian.
    • Pezeshkian was sworn in as President July 30, 2024
    • Date: October 1, 2024
    • Details: The second direct attack, launched in retaliation for Israel's assassinations of the Hamas and Hezbollah leaders in the preceding months.
      • Munitions: Iran fired about 200 ballistic missiles (including Fattah-1 and Kheibar Shekan types) at targets in Israel in at least two waves.
      • Outcome: Most were intercepted, but some hit targets like the Nevatim and Tel Nof airbases, a school, and areas near intelligence headquarters, causing two fatalities (a Palestinian man and an Israeli man who had a heart attack) and several injuries.
The Iran–Israel war (13 June – 24 June 2025), also known as the Twelve-Day War, was an armed conflict in the Middle East.
Following Israel's major offensive into Iran on June 13, 2025, a series of intense, daily Iranian missile and drone attacks on Israel began as part of a short, high-intensity war.
  • June 13, 2025: Iran launched over 100 Shahed drones and around 150 ballistic missiles in two waves targeting military and intelligence sites in Tel Aviv and elsewhere. Some landed in residential areas, causing injuries and damage.
  • June 14, 2025: Iran fired another 200 ballistic missiles overnight and another barrage later in the night. Some landed in residential areas of Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Rishon LeZion, killing two people and injuring over 60, as well as damaging oil facilities in Haifa.
  • June 15, 2025: Iran and Houthi allies in Yemen fired missiles simultaneously, striking buildings in Bat Yam, Rehovot, and Tel Aviv, killing nine people and injuring about 200. Later barrages injured seven in Haifa.
  • June 16, 2025: Iran launched another barrage that damaged a school and homes in Bnei Brak, Haifa, and Petah Tikva, killing eight civilians and injuring over 90.
Eight Israeli Air Force F-15I Ra'am strike fighter jets of 69 Squadron "Hammers" at Hatzerim Airbase high above Israel on their way to attack Iran in mid June 2025, probably June 16, 2025.

Why Israel Can't Trust Iran

Nadene Goldfoot
2014's summer in Israel-Hamas supplied by Iran

One year ago, Israel was forced into a 50-day war to stop rocket attacks from Gaza. The conflict caused death and terrible suffering in Israel.

  • HEZBOLLAH has 80,000 rockets-gifts from Iran, aimed at Israel.
  •
Missiles to use against Israel lined up in Syria-from Iran
  • IRAN has reaffirmed its intention to annihilate Israel – even claiming “divine permission” to destroy the Jewish state!
  •
  • HAMAS has been firing rockets randomly into Israel – a “shot across the bow” perhaps in prelude to renewed war?

  • Hospital in Ashkelon
  • Israel protects its citizens from terrorist attacks with:  mobile bomb shelters, reinforced trauma clinics, equipment for first responders, and bolstered emergency command centers in endangered communities as well as Ashkelon's Bar  Zilai Hospital, Israel's front line hospital on the Gaza border which Hamas keeps shelling even though it serves all people, Jewish and "Palestinian."  .

What Provoking War With Israel Will Bring

Nadene Goldfoot
Hezbollah Terrorist
Nasrallah, head of Hezbollah with Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei

Israel has been attacked either  by surrounding nations or the many  terrorist groups that have sprung up around her since 1948 in their War of Independence that started on November 29, 1947.  68 years of such stubborn actions to show they do not want to make peace with Israel and the ensuing damnations from their sympathizers are something Israel's military has to be constantly prepared for.  Israel is on the alert from attacks by Hezbollah in Lebanon now.  Recent threats have come from Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah.  Gaza has started firing missiles into southern Israel.

                                                  Hezbollah (Party of God)

Lebanon is another small country who is Israel's neighbor harboring Hezbollah.  Lebanon had the normal population of about 4,196,453 but today must have doubled or tripled with Syrian refugees added to the mix.  This was the fun state to come to for vacations, as it was only 60% Muslim and used to have a Christian majority government.  Today, Hezbollah terrorists have taken over.  They are sponsored by Iran.  The citizens of Lebanon have gone along with them, one even showing  a picture of their leader on their living room wall.

Their ideology is that of Shia Islamic fundamentalist terrorism as a political party.  Their goal is to establish an Islamic state across the Arab world and eliminate Israel.  They believe in fighting "Western imperialism" which would be the USA, for one.

They support Palestinian terror groups, set up cells in Judea and Samaria and Gaza, and continuously attack across the border of Lebanon/Israel.  The USA State Dept lists them as a terrorist organization.

Maj. Gen. Amir Eshel of the IAF in Israel in an interview with a German newspaper, explained how they have now warned Lebanese civilians of upcoming attacks and said that if provoked, they will not restrain themselves.  They've warned Hamas and Hezbollah and told them they'll hit their command centers whether they are in a building in Lebanon or Gaza if attacked.  They have reason to believe that Hezbollah has been preparing for the next combat round with Israel and to realize that Israel will be forceful.  They will do everything in their power not to hit citizens, and will be told to evacuate first.

Hamas terrorists -hiding identity behind black masks
Hezbollah and Hamas are working together to provoke Israel.  .  In the last several years the terrorists have been transferring their military facilities into civilian areas, again using their own population as a human shield.  This is so terrible since the population is over- flooded with refugees and they are living in every empty nook and cranny they can find.

Hezbollah has been working hard to prove that Israel has no right to be in the Middle East.  They are trying to undermine their legitimacy in the region.  So they fight.  I suppose they were much happier under the crooked Ottoman Empire who kept everyone down.  Well now, they are probably going to ruin this happy oasis of fun and games that Lebanon has been, sort of like the Las Vegas  or Paris of the Middle East.

Hezbollah has been acting as if they are the great provider for their country, the protector. That seems to be how the public is viewing them.

When asked in a TV program last night what their greatest problem is right now, a representative of Lebanon's programming  said it was ISIS.   Once they solve that problem, they can fact the Israeli problem, he inferred.  Evidently he'd be happier if Israel were out of the way, too.

Last night CNN's Anthony Bourdain, Parts Unknown, featured his 3rd trip to Beirut called Back To Beirut,  and as a chef, showed different scenes of Anthony eating lovely food there.  In one scene they spoke with an educated English speaking Syrian refugee telling about their horrid living conditions and the next scene was in a gorgeous American style kitchen and dining room eating enough food for any army that looked scrumptious.  What caught my eye was the picture on the living-room wall of Nasrallah, and his comment about doing without Israel later.  An interview of a young Syrian lady refugee asked her what would happen to her when her visa was up, which was in a few months, and she didn't know.  She feared she'd have to return to Syria and die there.  I have a friend in Damascus.  I am worried about him and his family as well.

Here Israel is taking care of  many Syrian refugees'  bodily injuries and the general population is following their leaders'  detestable attitude towards Israel.  It was Lebanon's Christian Militia led by Major Hadad in the 80's when they were pretty good friends with the Lebanese Christians.  .

Israel warned and warned and warned Gaza civilians of their coming to attack the terrorists who had attacked them, but it did no good.  They had used text messages and phone announcements and still they didn't move.  This enemy's immorality kept them in full view of impending attacks and in harm's way.

Israel Raids Iranian Ship Near Sudan

Nadene Goldfoot

Israel had to do what Israel has to do; raid another ship with weapons headed for Gaza's terrorists.  The fact that the ship, Klos C,  is Iranian didn't stop them at all.  It had an international crew of 17, now being interrogated.   Thirteen IDF commandos raided it off of Sudan early Wednesday morning.  This ship was disguised with a Panamanian flag and was carrying dozens of B-302 missiles with a range of up to 200 kilometers or 124.274 miles.

Last time Israel raided a ship was during the fleet of ships of May 2010, the Gaza Flotilla, which was  trying to break into the waters off of Gaza with heavens knows what as their cargo.  The ship, MV Mari Marmara,  was from Turkey, and this caused quite a roar with the end result of Israel having to pay Turkey a bundle for the death of a few of their 40 some crew  who attacked the 13 Israelis as they boarded to search the ship.  That's a tip-off right there that they weren't carrying dolls for the children or else why wouldn't they let the commandos search their ship like other ships in the fleet did?  .

Here's a case where the Iranian ship had a shipment originated from Syria.  The Syrian missiles, probably sent to Syria from Iran in the first place, were now taken on planes back to Iran, and then were repacked  on the ship to Sudan and were hidden with sacks of cement which is why Israel likes to search ships for weapons.  The captain of this ship first navigated toward Iraq and then finally toward Sudan in an effort to fool the IDF.

Evidently the Mossad was in on this as the IDF knew for sure that Iran was behind the shipment.  Our IDF are safe and guiding the ship to Eilat's port.  Israel knew that they were for Hamas, the terror group in Gaza. They were to be unloaded in Sudan and smuggled to Gaza through the Sinai.  There is a regional arms race with Iran in the lead.  The IDF will continue to act against such smugglers to secure the safety of the people of Israel.
