Israel's Fight With Terrorists Including Hamas That You May Not Realize

 Nadene Goldfoot

 Terrorists:  Houthis of Yemen

I see that many do not see Israel as the underdog anymore, but that title has gone to Hamas recently. There's lots people haven't been exposed to in the matter of real facts. Take the Houthis in Yemen, supplied by Iran to fight against Israel.  It may not matter to them, but American Jews helping the terrorists, Hamas?  Whatever is happening! Haven't they any clue as to what is happening?

1.  The land of Israel had been the designated land of the Israelites led there in about 1500 BCE by Moses and Joshua, and that land is today's Judea and Samaria;  the so called West Bank (named by Jordan).By King David's reign (1,000-960 BCE) called Israel, a united nation.  Terrorists refuse to believe our history, even though facts of today prove it's worthy of being truthful.

Arch of Titus in Rome is another proof of our history.  Romans helped by this archway.  The Arch of Titus is also called the Arcus Titi in Latin. It was also known as the Portico delle Sette Lucerne ("Portico of the Seven Lamps") during the Middle Ages because of a menorah depiction on the arch.

2.  They lived there until 70 CE (AD) when the Romans had invaded and taken over the land, robbing the Temple that king Solomon had built of all its golden pieces and taking the people left alive after a period of starvation and cruelty, to Rome as slaves. Any returning would be killed by Roman soldiers. Reference: Old Testament; historian Josephus; digs by archaeologists and findings. This amounted to living in Eretz Yisrael for about 2,000 years.  Jews were kept from returning by threats of death.

Except some rabbis who dared the ocean and land and made it to Eretz Yisrael.  Many rabbis, both those in established communities and those who led significant aliyah movements, made their way to Palestine between 70 CE and 1900, including the Vilna Gaon (via emissaries), Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk, and Rabbi Zvi Hirsch KalischerOther important figures include the Sephardic Rishon LeZion (Chief Rabbi) Raphael Meir Panigel and Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook, though the latter served as the first Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi after the period ends

3.  By 1st World War of 1914-1917, the Ottoman Empire, the last owner of many of Eretz Yisrael, was beaten by the Allies and lost this land to them.  They took it over and divided between them with France, Great Britain holding 30 year mandate for Palestine (named by Romans from Israel, which had been made up of the land for the 12 tribes of Jacob, and being left at this time after the Assyrians and Babylonians had attacked the nation, in Roman hands.

In 1881, Jews started returning to their land who had been forced to leave their families in Palestine, people who had not been living in Jerusalem but in other safer pockets, like Safed.  They returned in large groups called Aliyah; and there were 5 or 6 of these throughout the coming years.  They found the land wasted, desecrated, full of mosquitoes and  swamps, and they started working on it; work they had studied about that would be needed.

Arabs noted this return and followed them seeking jobs from them.  The Ottomans were still there, of course, watching it all happen.  Tel Aviv was created by 1909 as a garden suburb of JAFFA.

THEODOR HERZL,  a journalist from Vienna, 1860-1904 wrote a novel called Altneuland, which presented his Zionist ideas as embodied in a utopian Jewish state in Palestine.

In the 1920s, there were several attacks by Arabs on Jews in Mandatory Palestine, including the 1920 Nebi Musa riots in Jerusalem, the 1921 Jaffa riots, and the 1929 riots which included the Hebron massacre. These riots were often sparked by religious or political tensions, such as those surrounding the Western Wall in Jerusalem, and resulted in Jewish deaths and injuries. The 1929 Palestine riots, also known as the 1929 Arab riots or the Western Wall riots, were a series of violent clashes between Jewish and Arab communities in the British Mandate of Palestine. The riots began over a dispute at the Western Wall in Jerusalem fighting over Arab or Jewish ownership,  but escalated into widespread violence, resulting in the deaths of 133 Jews and 116 Arabs. Notable events included the August 23, 1929 Hebron massacre, where 67 Jews were murdered by Arab mobs, and attacks in Safed and Jerusalem.

In response, Jewish self-defense militias like the Haganah were formed. The Ha-shomer was created in 1920, existing till 1948 when Israel was born again. Haganah (defense) succeeded Ha-Shomer in 1920.      This was the beginning of Jews having to defend themselves from the Arabs.  It was created because the British gave no protection for the Jews being attacked, so they created theirown force. The 1929 Arab riots resulted in a British policy appeasement of the Arabs.

Arabs organized with Yasser Arafat, (1929-   ) leader of PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization, who was an Egyption, born in Cairo.  He organized the terrorist Fatah Organization. He had a world-wide program of terror acts aimed at Israeli, Zionist and Jewish targets.

The Six Day War of 1967, when all the Arabs attacked Israelwho managed to win, with G-d's help, we believe. The Arabswere so shocked that they held a meeting in Khartoum, Africa and voted No to peace, No No,  to anything with Israel. They have not changed this charter as yet.

Arafat was so bad that Jordan expel-led the PLO from Jordan in 1970, Lebanon in 1982 by Israel, and his support of Saddam Hussein in 1991 Gulf War.  By 2006Fatah lost their election (encouraged by Obama) to Hamas, thefighters.   Remember this attack by PLO?  Munich Olympics massacre (1972): Black September, a PLO faction, took Israeli athletes hostage and killed 11 of them.

By 1998  the PLO proclaimed a Palestinian state with Arafat as president.  Fatah's fighters became Hamas terrorists.

Numerous terrorist groups and militant organizations have targeted Israel since its founding. Major groups include Hamas in 1987, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), with February 25, 2005: Suicide bombing at a Tel Aviv nightclub and February 2020: Fired nearly 100 rockets toward Israel in response to Israeli military actions,

and Lebanese Hezbollah, all of which are supported by Iran and are part of the so-called "Axis of Resistance."

I repeat;  Hamas (Islamic Resistance Movement): A Sunni Islamist and nationalist organization that has been the de facto governing body of the Gaza Strip since 2007.

Hamas leaders have repeatedly emphasized they do not recognize Israel. But Hamas has also repeatedly accepted the 1967 borders in signed agreements (in 2005, 2006, and 2007) and in its 2017 charter. Some scholars saw Hamas' acceptance of the 1967 borders as a tacit acceptance of another entity on the other side, while others state that Hamas retains the long-term objective of establishing one state in former Mandatory Palestine.

Whether Hamas would recognize Israel in a future peace agreement is debated. Others argue that the long-term objective and lack of official recognition of Israel is merely maintained as a bargaining chip for future negotiations.

Prime Minister of Israel Yitzhak Rabin (left) and President of Palestine Yasser Arafat (right) shake hands in the presence of United States President Bill Clinton (middle) at the White House in 1993   The Oslo Peace Accords

Several scholars have compared Hamas's lack of recognition of Israel to Likud's lack of recognition of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza, when there is no comparison to work with.

Hamas has been offered the moon but refuses it, wanting all of Israel in black and white.  They plan on never ever having even one Jew on their Palestine, by the way, while Israel has many Palestinian citizens.

October 7, 2023 was a clincher if there ever was one.  It's horror of killing Jews will not be forgotten.  One does not want such a people as neighbors, ever; either Arab or Jew.  Right now they have been shooting their own people if thought to be aiding Israel in anyway.

                           Lord Rothchild-1917

The key document is the Balfour Declaration, a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Lord Rothschild in 1917, which expressed the British government's support for a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine.

The Balfour Declaration was a 1917 statement from the British government expressing support for a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine It was a key step toward the establishment of Israel in 1948.

Other important documents include the Hussein-McMahon Correspondence and the Sykes-Picot Agreement, which show other competing promises made by Britain to various groups during World War I, and the 1939 White Paper, which later limited Jewish immigration right at the start of WWII, when they needed the help most of all. Remember, WWII slaughtered 6 million Jews that started in Germany and spread out to all Jews the Nazis could get their hands on.

I only wish that all those who have laid aside any feelings they may have had for Israel and replaced them with aiding and abetting Hamas terrorists will suffer as our Jewish citizens did who lived along the border between Gaza and Israel at the time Hamas attacked. Incidently, they were the ones trying the hardest to make friends and be good neighbors of the Palestinians.  Then they were the ones slaughtered!

 Giving money to Palestinian causes is such an insult to your own family !   One should not pick a side as if its a football game.  Know the facts and why Israel has been fighting for the right to exist.  You have no idea of all the paper-work Israel went through, the years involved between 1917 and 1948 to have the land in the 1st place;

Hamas is as clever as an enemy can be; causing people to believe the impossible of Jews; If they bothered to know their own people's morals, religious standards and such, they would bother to look at the hysteria passing from person to person like Jews starving the Palestinians! Nonsense!  It's not in Jews to do such a thing.  People should have smelled a rat among the news making Israelis the bad guys.   The facts still remain, Hamas were keeping the food for themselves;  hiding themselves in mosques, schools, etc.  hiding behind their own children...

The Palestinians therefore do not deserve a state of their own!  They did not come from a nation of Palestine.  They came from all the surrounding nations.  That nation would be made from half of what is Israel!  How is it that people would even begin to believe that they are deserving of their own state?  Egypt and Jordan know very well how they had been people they didn't want in their country because of all the blood and warfare that goes along with them.
