Re''im, a Kibbutz in Israel, remembering that day of October 7, 2023 when Hamas and other Gazans attacked showing those who were killed on the spot....Today marks two years since the attacks of October 7, when
As of mid-October 2025, the Israeli Defense Ministry reported that a total of 1,158 security forces personnel have been killed since October 7, 2023. That would be mostly IDF and the sailors as well.
This total includes all Israeli security services personnel (soldiers, police officers, Shin Bet agents, and others) and covers casualties from all fronts of the war, including the initial October 7 attacks, the ground offensive in Gaza, and clashes on other borders.
The breakdown of the security forces fatalities is as follows:
- Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers: 1,035 (including 43 members of civilian emergency response squads).
- Police officers: 100.
- Shin Bet intelligence agents: 9.
- Prison Service personnel: 8.
The majority of these deaths occurred during the initial Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, and the subsequent ground operations. The data does not specifically separate "sailors" into a distinct category, as they are included within the overall IDF figure.
Why do I specify "Jewish Lives"? I should say Jewish lives and those who have joined up with us, It's because there are very few of us in the world, and there was the Nazis who depleted our numbers, low tostart with, by 6 million more. We're the canary in the coal mine; the sentinel species of mankind; the litmus test; the harbinger of man's future and when we go out, so will all the others. We've been the scape-goat of mankind ever since the days of Moses. What gets us and you isthis stubborn streak we have and refuse to change; our beliefs! Our trustin G-d, and even that is getting a little old with some, our trust in ourintelligence we have been blessed with, and our trust that good mitzvot will outlive the evil inclinations of our neighbors.
The Jewish population makes up approximately 0.2% of the world's total population, with recent estimates placing the global number at around 15.8 million people out of roughly 8 billion people worldwide. The vast majority of Jews live in Israel and the United States, with smaller populations in other countries like France, Canada, and the UK. In this day and age, the USA and Israel stand together. Nomatter who is the US President, this must continue by reason of numberswhere Jews feel safe to live despite anti-Semitism.
