Qaradawi, Theologian of Terror, Behind Muslim Brotherhood's Jerusalem Attacks

Nadene Goldfoot

The Muslim Brotherhood started the problems in Syria.  When Assad ordered his troops to attack his city of Hama in 1982, it was because it was the capital of the Muslim Brotherhood.  They had tried to assassinate him.  20,000 people were killed in that attack.  This came about because Assad is an Alawite, not a Sunni Muslim.  It's a branch of Islam.  When Assad became the president, the Muslim Brotherhood starting their planning of his overthrow.  On June 26, they had tried to assassinate him with hand grenades.  Assad suffered a foot injury, and Hama was the result.

Now that IS has come upon the scene of Sunni Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood is working on uniting all the Islamic movements around the idea of the Muslim Caliphate with the center being Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It is Khaled Mashal of Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood member since 1971,  who is bringing in  the Palestinian issue to cause the Arabs to support the Muslim Brotherhood.  Mashal is living in Qatar, home of Qaradawi (b. 1926), the religious leader who wants to kill all Jews wherever they are.  He's best friends with Qatar's Emir.

Hamas's partner, Fatah, former PLO terrorists, was quick to glorify the terrorist who drove purposely  into the crowd in Jerusalem of people who just got off the train and killed a baby girl and a woman when he hit about 10 people. Fatah has the Silwan or Jerusalem branch, and they have glorified the driver as they always do to people who manage to kill Jews.

Unfortunately, the security situation in Jerusalem has not been good lately thanks to the Muslim Brotherhood.  During Operation Protective Edge, they raised the banner "The siege of Gaza" in trying to incite European Muslims to demonstrate in their streets against Israel.  In this they hope to raise that status of Islam.  Now they have a "Save Jerusalem" campaign in wanting ALL of Jerusalem for Muslims only, and this is because it is a Jewish city created by King David himself.  The commandment of not to covet other people's things is unknown to Muslims, evidently, or ignored as not applying to them..  They want to take what is dear to others.  For them, it gives them status if they can pull it off.  As for their weak point of Mohammad flying to Jerusalem on his flying horse to the farthest Mosque, it never mentions Jerusalem by name.  It's an allegory.  It's a tale of flying carpets and horses.  It was a dream.  It's not usable in taking a city belonging to Jews for the past 3,000 years plus historically, religiously, politically and by population.

Khaled Mashal published a note calling on his people to hurry now to DEFEND (translated as TO TAKE OVER) Jerusalaem and Al-Aqsa.  Al Aqsa is in the hands of Jordan.  Our general, Moshe Dayan saw to that at the end of 1967's war when Israel won.  He was foresighted enough to avoid more problems by allowing them to police the property of their mosque.  So, is the Muslims Brotherhood taking it  from Jordan?  And for why?  They have been piggish about who they allow to pray on their property, causing some Jews to be angry about not being able to pray on the land that held our Temple, which could be worked on later by peaceful leaders, but certainly not by the Muslim Brotherhood's instigations.

The Muslim Brotherhood is trying to take over all of Jerusalem.  Do you remember in your culture hearing "if you give them an inch they will take a foot?  It seems like the Brotherhood had high hopes with a part of Jerusalem being the capital of their Palestine, but were plotting and scheming to take over all of Jerusalem, something they never even had in 1948 when Jordan took east Jerusalem and Israel got it back in 1967 after being attacked.  .

This call comes from Al-Aqsa by sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi himself when he was in Cairo in February 2011.  when President Mubarak was ousted.  He called for Al-Aqsa's LIBERATION (take over).  Qaradawi, theologian of terror,  is the most evil of religious leaders that one can find.  It was he who said he'd kill Jews with his bare hands if he could.  The 88 year old is in a wheelchair, however, but is up to trying to kill a Jew.    The man is dangerous because he broadcasts weekly from Qatar to the whole world with his evil thoughts about Jews and Israel.  He had been ousted from Egypt for his radicalness, and taken in happily by Qatar.  Qaradawi put out a fatwa and told the Muslims it was their duty to DEFEND (take over) Jerusalem with their lives.  He would like to die a martyr.  That way he'll get his 72 virgins.  I would hope they'll all be  as old as he is.

A two-faced theologian, while he has condemned the murder of civilians in the 9/11 terror attack, he supports terrorist acts against Israel.  Qaradawi claimed that "such martyrdom operations should not be carried out outside of the Palestinian territories.  He justifies this by claiming that Israeli civilians do not exist because the Israeli government requires all citizens to serve in the army.  So children are fair game, too, to him.

"Mashal and Mousa Abu Marzuk were said to have accumulated vast personal wealth estimated at $2.5 billion each. Mashal was alleged to have appropriated, for himself and his confidantes, the entire Hamas "Syrian Fund" of hundreds of millions of US dollars upon leaving Damascus for an opulent lifestyle in Qatar in 2012."  They follow the footsteps of the PLO's Arafat who also managed to keep a fortune for himself.

The recent attack in Jerusalem against  the crowd of light rail riders who just got off the train  who were hit by a car on purpose killed a 3 month old American baby girl, Chaya,  immediately, and another of the 10 hit just died in the hospital. She was an Ecuadorian 20 year old.    That was a baby very much wanted by her parents who had waited a long time for her.

Happenings In Our Crazy World This Week (June 17, 2014)

 Nadene Goldfoot

The kidnapping of 3 Jewish school boys by Hamas Terrorists

The biggest disappointment happened last week in Athens when a proclamatiion was adopted by EU foreign ministers and their Arab colleagues.  It was one-sided and said that "it hails the Fatah-Hamas union and praised the Palestinians committed to DEMOCRACY and HUMAN RIGHTS.   Yet Hamas continued to shell Israel more than usual.  The declaration included harsh criticism of Israel.  Seems they can practice terrorism such as shooting  and terrorist acts of kidnapping, and that's okay.

Judea-Samaria and Gaza  in red, Israel in yellow.  One can see the katusha rocket range from "Palestine."  This week it's still hitting southern Israel from Gaza.

ISIS, IRAQ  and  IRAN
The USA had  meetings with Iran about Iraq, the state they had a war with in 1980 that lasted for 8 years. Iraq and Iran  had fought so long and hard that the war was down to children fighting.   They met on Monday in Geneva, Switzerland about the ongoing nuclear negotiations and discussed the crisis in Iraq.  They discussed how ISIS threatens many countries in the region, including Iran.   (TIME).

ISIS now 35 miles from Baghdad, Iraq

Israel is against such an unparallelled meeting.  Yuval Steinitz, the Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister, said Iran should not be helped to extend it's sway in Iraq.  Tehran would then have more control in Syria, where the Iranians back President Assad.  They'd get their foot in the door in Lebanan, where they have their Hizbullah allies.  This would wind up softening the American positions on the issue of the Iranian nuclear issue more than they already are, just what Iran would love.  It would be that the USA and Iran would be on the same side of supporting the government of Iraqi Prime Minister al-Maliki.

It may be that both are rooting for Maliki, but each has their own different reasons.  ISIS, the branch of al-Qaeda, is the enemy in this case, and is the worst Shi'a group in history.  For a group that started with little finances, they fixed that by robbing a big bank in Iraq, so that now they are loaded.  Right now ISIS is about 35 miles away from Damascus, supposedly a well-fortified city.

                                               KIDNAPPING OF 3 ISRAELI TEENAGERS
Two (2) months ago, PA's Abbas asked that Palestine be included in 15 international conventions.  One was the 1989 UN convention on the Rights of the Child...and Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in Armed Conflict.  At the same time they are responsible for the kidnapping of 3 Jewish teenagers by Hamas.

Israel holds the PA responsible for this act.  Hamas terrorists took the boys, of who one holds dual citizenship- USA and Israel.  The terrorists were staying in Judah which is under PA control.  Israel is holding many people in the act of searching for them.  Israel said that the 3 boys' lives are in danger and they will have to move in anyway possible to get information as to where they are to rescue them.  The clock is ticking.  Netanyahu promised that those who try to attack Israeli citizens like this will be hit for doing so.

He asks that the international community condemn this abduction and support Israel's legitimate acts of self-defense.  All the while Israel has been attacked by rockets from Gaza during this period from Hamas.  When a state is under attack by a terrorist group, it is a far more serious situation than if some gang of thieves kidnaps someone for financial gain.

                                                    RANDOM ACTS OF HOSTILITY
Three (3) Palestinians tried to break through the security perimeter of Kochav Yaakov in Judea-Samaria late Monday night and IDF soldiers shot at them, injuring one.  The others got away.

Two (2) firebombs were thrown at the Beit Orot Yeshiva on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem which set off a  fire , but it was small.

Brinkmanship of Fatah Has Palestinian Negotiators Walking Away

Nadene Goldfoot

Saeb  Erekat, born in 1955 in East Jerusalem when it was under Jordanian Control

John Kerry is determined to reach a Palestinian-Israeli peace deal.  However, we just found out Wednesday that the 2 man Palestinian team, Saeb Erekat and Muhammad Shtayyeh,  had resigned 10 days ago in protest because Israel has continued construction in Judea/Samaria and east Jerusalem neighborhoods.

Israel seems to feel that the peace talks, which are given 9 months, are just keeping progress from moving along and intended to build. "Only two days earlier, Israel had announced plans to construct 1,700 new homes for Jewish settlers in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) . Palestinians angrily accused the Israelis of not negotiating in good faith."   The plans were in the works long ago and are much needed.   They had stopped for a year as agreed with Abbas and it was wasted time, as Abbas didn't come to any peace negotiations that time, either.  Israel has offered the olive branch ever since 1948 and has been very patient after being attack time and time again in wars by  the Arab countries.  That's 65 years without peace.  Now Kerry expects Israel to give away their baby with the bath water.  Give up everything, and what has Israel been offered?  Bubkas, as far as we know, since it is all very secret.

Abbas hasn't said if he would accept or reject the resignations.  He couldn't say if there has been any progress and will wait 9 months and afterwards they will feel free to do what they want.  Erekat thinks that because Israel is building this means it was the end of the peace process.  He's already told the US, Russia, the UN and the Arab League that these building plans mean that the negotiations ended.

Israel feels this is "brinkmanship", something that keeps on happening with the Palestinians and is a pattern that has happened many times.  It's their standard way of negotiating.

Netanyahu has told the housing minister to "reconsider" plans for the 24,000 units beyond the Green Line as a result.  "I'm concerned about their progress, because I see the Palestinians continuing with incitements, continuing to create artificial crises, continuing to avoid and run away from the historic decisions that are needed to make a genuine peace."   Abbas had to cut his visit to Saudi Arabia and return to Ramallah to talk with PLO and Fatah leaders about what is going on.  Since when are there any PLO people?  Supposedly PLO became Fatah.  Yasser Arafat had been the PLO leader.

The Palestinians are trying to take Jerusalem as their capital, among other factors that they have been demanding.  Jerusalem is a united city once again and the capital of Israel.  Another sticky point is allowing all the refugees who have multiplied since 1948 into this tiny area as the Palestinians demand.  Being they will not accept Israel in the first place in their midst, there are just too many idiotic concessions that they are demanding that will completely tear Israel apart, as little as it is and surrounded by hateful terrorists.   Personally, I think John Kerry is asking the impossible of Israel.  Also, he was aiming on having this all completed by May 2014, which is 6 months from now.

One important matter to Israel has been Iran.  Watching how the USA has capitulated to Iran shakes up Netanyahu's trust in the USA's negotiating, and this is a failure.  The way the peace talks with the PLO/Fatah is going looks like it's on the same path; both being against Israel's needs to survive.

What Oslo Accords Failed to Do: Wrench in Progress for Kerry

Nadene Goldfoot

Twenty-five years ago in 1987, the First Intifada started.  It didn't stop until the Madrid Peace Conference.

Twenty years ago, on September 13, 1993 to be exact, Prime MinisterYitzchak Rabin and Simon Peres, Foreign Minister, along with Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas of the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization) were at the White House in Washington DC.  They all  signed the "Declaration of Principles" which had all been discussed in Oslo, Norway. Russia and the USA were co-signers.   It stipulated mutual recognition between Israel and the PLO.  The PLO were to stop terrorism and end it's covenant calling for Israel's destruction.

Israel had ratified this accord in the Knesset one week later.  Arafat never could get the PLO to ratify it, announcing this on October 7, 1993.

On May 4, 1994 they had signed the Gaza-Jericho Agreement
On August 29, 1994 they had signed the Preparatory Transfer of Power and Responsibility
On August 27, 1995 they signed the Protocal transferring power to the PA.

"The five-year transitional period would commence with Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and Jericho area. (This they have done.)  Permanent status negotiations would begin as soon as possible between Israel and the Palestinians. The negotiations would cover remaining issues, including: Jerusalem, Palestinian refugees, Israeli settlements, security arrangements, borders, relations and cooperation with other neighbors, and other issues of common interest."

Starting in  the year 2001, Israel was being attacked by rockets, mortars and missiles.  800 rockets rained down on Israel by 2005.  Attacks forced Israel's retaliation with Operation Rainbow and Operation Days of Penitence in May 2004.  In August and September 2005, Israel had pulled out of Gaza.  Since the pullout, there have been more than 12,800 rockets that have attacked southern Israel from there.  Operation Summer Rains from June 28th  to November 26th took place in 2006 when IDF soldier Gilat Shalit was captured.  "Israel's stated goals in Operation Summer Rains were to suppress the firing of Qassam rockets from Gaza into the western Negev  Attacks into Southern Israel have not stopped. 4,000 rockets had rained down on Israel since 2005.  Israel answered the attacks with Operation Autumn Clouds in 2006 and Operation Hot winter in 2008 and Operation Cast Lead in 2009.   Even though there was a cease fire from Operation Defensive Shield in November 21, 2012,  23 rockets and 7 mortars have been shot into Southern Israel in 2013 with only January free of them.  30 Israelis were killed, 1,500 were injured and all the residents have been traumatized.

This makes the PLO (today's Fatah)  still on the books in Israeli law as a terrorist entity because of not ratifying the Oslo accord.  This is also true in American Law being the Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades of Fatah are listed as a terrorist organization.  Such groups are to forfeit US foreign aid assistance.

Two times the Palestinian National Council had never canceled the PLO Covenant.  So David Bedein, head of Israel Resource News Agency and director of Near East Policy Research,  brings up the issue of the fact that there is a reason to renew talks with the PLO or Fatah.   They need to ratify the Oslo Accord and to cancel the PLO covenant calling for Israel's destruction even before they decide to recognize Israel.

Already the Palestinians have let it out that a future Palestine is to have no Jews living in their territory.  They want East Jerusalem, or even have grandiose ideas of having all of Jerusalem.  The Palestinian officials want all Palestine refugees to return and be allowed in their territory.  This would be overcoming  and would drown Israel. There were few Palestinians in Palestine in 1948 and now there are millions.   They have produced textbooks with geography maps showing all of Israel as Palestine and teach hatred for Israelis and Jews.  Fatah and Hamas have no cooperation with each other let alone with Israel, and they have no proper resource for money other than donations from other Muslim countries and groups.  The occupation of so many have been in bomb making and that's about it.

One can see that these are very sensitive matters.    Kerry and Obama are pushing the oppositional Palestinians into discussions with Israel. Why is it so imperative that Fatah sit down to discuss peace with Israel when they haven't a united force for a Palestinian state?     How can Israel even consider being held to discussion with Hamas terrorists who wish to wipe them out?  Is this an act just to get something written on one's resume?

Mahmoud Abbas was first Prime Minister of Palestine and is now the president.  He has just ousted Salam Fayyad, Prime Minister and has replaced him with Rami Hamdallah, another Fatah member who is a USA educated economist.  They have discovered that they are just about bankrupt, owing far more money than a state should that hasn't even been officially  formed yet, even though google hadn't been aware of its standing as yet.

Peace is not ready to be served on the table.  There is much that the Palestinians have to do to become neighbors of Israel.  They're not showing their willingness to live in peace when they teach their children to hate Jews and Israelis as shown by their school textbooks and their cultural programs.  Peace will have to remain in the oven where it is simmering.

Our Nemesis: Qaradawi

Nadene Goldfoot

86 year old Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a radical Muslim Brotherhood  religious leader, who is the world's leading Islamic scholar, arrived in the Gaza Strip recently to show his support for Hamas terrorists who aim to destroy Israel.  This hate-filled leader came as the leader of a delegation of 50 senior Islamics from 14 countries in order to urge Palestinians to continue the struggle against Israel.  Being he is the head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, he has power and influence.

One of his directions to Hamas  with its 1.5 million Gazan population was to not give up one inch of land to the Jews.  There is to be no concession on their demand of their "right of return" of millions of Palestinians to their pre-1948 villages and towns inside Israel."  This tiny state of Israel has 6 million Jews and 1.7 million Arabs.  It was created by Jews for Jews and is their refuge.  Being that there are  48 Muslim majority states or countries in the world already, Palestine would be the 49th.  It not only would be majority Muslim but is to be 100% Muslim.  They have no intentions of allowing Jews into their state.

He still insists that "Palestine" was never Jewish!  Evidently he refuses to read history books.  The Muslim Brotherhood should be embarrassed with this denial, as bad as Ahmadinejad saying that their was never a Holocaust in which the Nazis had killed 6 million Jews!  His denial of our history of almost 3,000 years of Jewish life before Mohammad was even born is ridiculous.  Obviously he's not about to talk about King Solomon who was so wise that the whole world had heard of him, even the Queen of Sheba.

So he preached to the gullible Hamas terrorists that "Palestine" has always been Arab and Islamic.  Always Islamic.  Amazing since Mohammad was born in 570 CE and died in 632 CE.  Jews go back to Moses who died in 1271 BCE when he commanded Joshua to enter Canaan and lead the Israelites into the land.  Jews eventually got around to accepting the idea of having a king and chose Saul, and then King David followed from 1010 BCE to 970 BCE and his son Solomon from 961 BCE to 920 BCE, and set up the monarchy of kings in the Empire of Israel and  then in the Empire of Judea.  Jews were overtaken in 70 CE when Jerusalem fell, but not all left.  However, all this history seems to be either unknown to these uneducated killers or ignored and denied outwardly.

Getting down to facts, Qaradawi is not too happy with Abbas ever sitting down to talk peace with Israel.  He's always pushing for jihad as the only tool to get what they want.  The Palestinians seem to be brainwashed into wanting to destroy Israel.  They love to hear his anti-Semitic remarks, so turned out to meet him by the thousands.  His banter is to speak of Israelis as "treacherous aggressors."  In 2009, one of his sermons was that "Allah, take this oppressive Jewish Zionist band of people.  Oh Allah, do not spare a single one of them.   Oh Allah, count their numbers and kill them, down to the very last one!"

At the same time, John Kerry, US Secretary of State was talking to the Israelis and Palestinians with opposing goals than the Egyptian-born Qaradawi.

Qaradawi was expelled from Egypt by Sadat for his extremism.  He found comfort living in Qatar, and from there espouses his hatred for Jews on al-Jazeera TV.  He has the run of Qatar pretty much, being best friends with the government.  The USA will not allow him in the country but Britain says he is a "moderate" and allows him in.  To me, that is a political and business decision being so many Muslims live in England already.  It was not an ethical decision.

Qaradawi is known for justifying suicide bombings against Israeli civilians and other such forms of death for them.  He has said that he himself would strangle Jews if he could, but he is crippled and stays in his wheel chair most of the time.  He has put out a fatwa  telling his congregants to kill Jews.

This is not the usual conflict over land that one sees on the surface.  Down deep this is a religious conflict of the goals of Islam versus the survival of the parent religion, Judaism.  This is unfortunate, because it is extremism in Islam that has taken over a lovely religion brought to Arabs, the children of Ishmael and Esau who had left the house of Abraham so long ago.  Originally Mohammad wanted his people to also hear and follow what was in the books of Jews and Christians and he used his own words to bring it to them, but somehow along the way, jealousy crept into the message which is being used today.  Any Islamic preacher bringing a message that differs from Qaradawi is under threats.

The message seems to be making the rounds, as I just heard that someone has been receiving death threats for being Jewish.  Are we back to the 1930's?  Are more tolerant Muslims going to allow such an attitude that Abraham, 4,000 years ago tried to end?  For he did not only teach us that there was one G-d instead of the multitude people believed in that caused all such demonic acts as human sacrifice and such.  His teaching brought on Moses, who gave us the recipe for decent living that Mohammad admired so much, calling Jews and Christians, "People of the Book."  We were not to be killed because of that.   Why is religion in our life, in our DNA to find and to question about morality if not to have a world of peace for one and all?

Qaradawi is the "Joker" but  who is Batman?  Who is brave enough to counter this evil message in the world which has created such non-thinking robots-ready to carry out his orders?

Eight Years Peace Broken in Judea-Samaria

Nadene Goldfoot
On April 4th, in Israel a Wednesday, just after midnight a 17 year old and an 18 year old attacked an IDF post in Einav just inside the Judea-Samaria lines east of Netanya with Molotov cocktails, gunfire and fire bombs.  The IDF on duty fired back, killing the 2 in the firefight.  Another person was shot.  This was the first attack in 8 years.  "The two men are Amar Nasar, 17, and Najo Bilbisi, 18, from the village of Anbata.   Bilbisi's body was found Thursday morning.   Palestinian sources reported that a wounded man was admitted to a hospital in Tulkarem with injuries to his hand.

What was Abbas's reaction with Kerry coming in May to talk peace?  Why, he is holding Israel to be criminally responsible for these 2 deaths.

According to the rules of engagement, a shoot-to-kill order can only be issued if the attackers were identified beyond a doubt.

The IDF will check out how the Palestinians managed to get so close to the post and whether the soldiers could have controlled the incident without opening fire.   The attack must have been instigated by the death of prisoner Abu Hamdiyeh, 64, who died of throat cancer.  Rioting resulted all around  Judea-Samaria.

Richard Falk, Hamas's Patsy

                                                                French Resistance Helping American Paratroopers
Nadene Goldfoot
The French Resistance Fighters from WWII have been compared to Hamas terrorists by the Jewish American Richard Falk b: 1930, a recently expelled member of the Human Rights Watch Committee in December.  This UN Special Rapporteur  has held this position since 2008.  This certainly is a slap in the face for these brave Frenchmen of whom most must be deceased by now.

He's a Jew attacking Israel and siding with Palestinian terrorists.  For a lawyer, he's just throwing out nonsense.  Palestinians were immigrants coming to find jobs from the newly arrived Jewish immigrants who were joining up with Jews that never left the land.  They were building and the Arabs wanted jobs.  Most had no connection to the land and had no ideas of creating a state until 1967. Only a few had land and most were nomads.   Jews had lived in this land since Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and into the land, then called Canaan.  Saul was their first king in the 11th Century BCE..  David followed and then his son, Solomon.  Jews have a history here which is part of their religion, culture and history never forgotten.  Never forgotten except by Richard Falk, that is.

He also compared Israel's treatment of the Palestinians to the actions of the Nazis and told others that the US government may have had foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks.   He is an 82 year old  former professor of International Law at Princeton U. which is amazing considering the stand he has taken against Israel that differs from many other international lawyers.  This man has been so critical of Israel that Israel had to finally say he wasn't even allowed in their country.

He makes anti-Israel statements that are picked up by the Liberal Democratic Friends for Palestine that attacks Israel and defends Hamas.

Falk wrote about Meshaal's visit to Gaza last month and offered excuses for this terror chief's pledge to recover the whole of historic Palestine no matter how long it might take by saying that Meshall used a fiery language in Gaza but was far more moderate in several interviews with Western journalists.  Evidently he believes only the moderate speech.

The moderate tone was of Meshal is highly impossible anyway.    He was offering a truce if Israel ended their occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza and agree to uphold Palestinian rights under international law.

This was the Right of Return in which 4-5 million Palestinian refugees could flock into Israel.  He modified this by saying that "It would threaten the Jewish majority presence in Israel."  Evidently he's not concerned about that.  It's something that Israel will not go along with.

Falk wrote that Israelis should take the Gaza speech of Khaled Meshaal not as an expression of the Hamas creed but as outlining a unified and secular Palestine governed with human rights standards and the rule of law with respect to international law if there is going to be a 2 state solution in the near future.  I think Falk lives in La La Land.  There is no evidence at all that a terrorist organization such as Hamas who sacrifices its own people to gain their goals would do anything fit and proper.

The USA is not dealing with this terrorist organization.  Israel is not dealing with them, either.  It has been Abbas of Fatah who is the one that Netanyahu has wanted to speak with.  What on earth is Falk doing, playing up to Meshaal?  Well, something got him expelled from the UN position.  He wrote on his blog that he had been asked to resign by the organization "Human Rights Watch Committee." He tought it was because of his connection with the UN, which is contrary to HRW policy.  How nice to know for sure that they are contrary.  The difference is that we are on the Human Rights side and he isn't.  Certainly Hamas isn't.

Why Jerusalem Cannot Be Divided

Nadene Goldfoot
"The area you are accustomed to calling "east Jerusalem," in other words, the area north and south and east of the Green Line that split the city in half during the Jordanian occupation, is home today to some 200,000 Jews comprising 41 percent of all the residents living in this area. Eighty-five percent of the 295,000 Arabs in east Jerusalem were born after 1967 into the reality of a united Jerusalem under Israeli governance, and were never exposed to the reality of a divided city."

"Palestinians living in east Jerusalem  are extremely fearful of Palestinian Authority rule and the division of the city. Tens of thousands of them voted with their feet by crossing the security barrier in north Jerusalem over to the Israeli side, to remain inside the united city. Additional tens of thousands have said in surveys that they will do the same thing if the city is once again divided."

"The health care system in Jerusalem serves both populations, as does Hebrew University, the Roads Authority, public transportation, shopping malls, electricity grids, telephone wires and the sewage system. The neighborhoods themselves are also intertwined. Even the barriers between the different quarters in the Old City are increasingly blurred. Jews live in the Muslim Quarter; Muslims live in the Christian Quarter. In contrast to the period under Jordanian rule, the holy sites are open to everyone. The only such restriction is against Jews — on the Temple Mount."

Mahmoud Abbas b: March 26, 1935, former PLO terrorist who took over from Yassar Arafat, now Chairman of the Palestinian National Authority, has been holding this post since November 11, 2004.  His capital has been Ramallah in Judea-Samaria, but he and Khaled Mashaal of Hamas are pushing for east Jerusalem which they would make Judenrein.  Four days ago Abbas said that he wouldn't allow Israel to build in the E1 area.   Reports in the London Sunday Times from 3 days ago say that Hamas is preparing to oust Abbas from Ramallah and take over even it means another war.  They've had an on and off love affair ever since Hamas kicked him out of Gaza in 2007 in a bloody coup.

"Nir Barkat is the mayor of Jerusalem.  Barkat also makes the important point that Jewish sovereignty over the city has been its only reliable guarantor of religious openness, access, and equality.   By 2030, the city’s population will expand to one million residents from 800,000 today (33% Muslim, 2% Christian and 65% Jewish). Where does the world suggest we put these extra 200,000 residents?

The expansion of Jerusalem’s residential areas is essential for the natural growth of all segments of our population. It enables Jewish and Arab families alike to grow and remain in the city. The capital of a sovereign nation cannot be expected to freeze growth rather than provide housing to families of all faiths eager to make their lives there.
As for “E-1,” this land has always been considered the natural site for the expansion of contiguous neighborhoods of metropolitan Jerusalem. “E-1” strengthens Jerusalem. It does not impede peace in our region. The international alarm about planned construction is based solely on the misplaced dreams of the Palestinians and their supporters for a divided Jerusalem."

All Is Not Quiet in Israel/Gaza: Presidents Keep Working

Nadene Goldfoot
We may not be reading articles about what's happening in Israel right now, but Ashdod just saw and felt a rocket fall in their neighborhood on Tuesday morning.  The IDF air force responded overnight by hitting 2 rocket launching sites and an arms storage facility.

That makes 858 rockets and mortars that have been shot into Israel this year so far.  119 of them were shot in the latest round that fell into Israel.  The Iron Dome also intercepted 110.  Dozens fell inside the Palestinian territory.

Besides this one rocket shot during the new ceasefire, Gazans were rioting near the border fence trying to damage it.  The IDF were forced to shoot at them and injured 7.  So the IDF must remain alert to problems that keep happening.  Jerusalem Post has an article saying that Hamas is counting on Jews leaving the country because they feel they have scared them enough to leave if another round of shooting starts up again.  They don't know the resistance these people have to their adversity.

In the meantime, Fatah, living in Judea and Samaria territory have Abbas who is going to the UN to become a state of sorts.  There already are 48 Muslim majority states, and this would make 49.    The United States will not be able to veto this as it'll take place in the General Assembly, but not surprising, France said they will go along with it.  What do they care?  They're not neighbors.  They're not involved.  What the USA has done is threaten Abbas that they will cut off  the annual $500 million aid if they make the bid without any negotiations and peace terms with Israel.

Why I"m against it is that it gives Fatah clout that they will use against Israel, making a solution even farther away; definitely in the time of the Messiah, no doubt.  Abbas is intent on retiring with this accomplishment, as he'll be 78 years old on March 26, 2013. If he gets this bid, it'll also mean his political survival if he wants it, as he took over leadership from Arafat when he died 8 years ago.    Only someone like Israel's President Shimon Peres, who'll be  90 years old on August 2, 2013, has the stamina and intelligence to keep working for the public.  This Polish-born dynamo is the grandson of a Rabbi in a line of Rabbis.  He seems to know how to live with stress, and is in good shape.

Amazing Facts About Qaradawi, Qatar and Palestinian Leaders

Nadene Goldfoot
Hamas took over Gaza's rule in 2007.  Khaled Meshal is their leader, but the spokesman for the Palestinians has been Fatah's leader, Mahmoud Abbas from Judea-Samaria (West Bank). They have joined together and are both very strong against Israel.

Both Meshal and Abbas have been living in Qatar.  In the mid-1950s, Abbas became heavily involved in underground Palestinian politics, joining a number of exiled Palestinians in Qatar, where he was Director of Personnel in the emirate's Civil Service."  "The eldest son of Mahmoud, Mazen Abbas, ran a building company in Doha and died in Qatar of a heart attack in 2002 at the age of 42.

Not surprisingly, Khaled Meshal has had a house in Qatar for many years and has been seen in the capital, Doha since Hamas organizers were forced to leave Syria in early 2012.  What happened was that Meshal had been living in Damascus but when Syria wanted to have some indirect peace talks with Israel, Meshal objected.  The result was that Syria asked him to leave.  Meshal then went to Sudan.  Meshal had been living in Syria because he had been kicked out of Jordan 10 years prior.

Qatar's Emir Hamad bin Khalifah Al Thani just visited Gaza and made the the gift of $400 million.  Immediately, the effect of that gift has been a bombardment rocket attack on Israel.  By visiting Gaza, he has in effect put an end to any chance of peace agreements between the Hamas-Fatah union and Israel.  Now Abbas is game enough to go to the UN on the 15th or 29th of this month to ask for recognition.  He's doing so against the advice of the USA and of course, Israel.  He's liable to lose their money, but who needs it when he as Qatar behind him.

Gaza had been fortified with money from Syria, who are a mixture of Sunnis and Shi'as and who are an extension of Iranian Shi'a Muslims.  In fact, it was Iran's money which was going to Hamas.  Hamas stopped supporting Syria, so Iran stopped supporting Gaza.  That's where Qatar stepped  in.

Iran's terrorist group is Hezbollah,  Shi'as who plot and scheme out of Lebanon. They were trained by Iranian Revolutionary Guards. So Lebanon is really an arm of Iran, just like Syria.

Abbas, who represents Judea-Samaria (West Bank) , is a little grumpy about Meshal's strong connection with Qatar saying, "no one should deal with Gaza as a separate entity from the Palestinian territories and from the Palestinian Authority", which he represents.

Qatar is supporting the rebels in Syria. Qatar also are the power-people in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia. Qatar  houses Qaradawi, the Egyptian religious leader who leads the Muslim Brotherhood.   Syria's President Bashar al-Assad is supported by Iran. So Qatar and Syria are now at odds.

The relationship of the Arab countries is not all sweetness and light.  Sunnis and Shi'as fight like enemies when is suits them though both are Muslims.

Qatar(Sunni)  with a population of only 744,029 is taking on Iran (Shi'a) with a population of 76,923,300.  Qatar follows the  Hanbali fiqh of Sharia law while Iran follows the Jafari fiqh.  Qatar has been buttering up the USA while Iran only ignores the USA and is contemptuous.  Qatar and Iran share the world's largest gas field which is why Qatar has so much money.  Iran stooped low and starting attacking and stealing equipment from Qatari gas rigs.  They pretend to be nice to each other but Qatar is making Iran mad.  What will the outcome be here?  Qatar houses Qaradawi, the Egyptian religious leader who leads the Muslim Brotherhood.   Iran has the Ayatolla Khomeini.  I see a brawl over not only oil power but religious power as well.  Both Qatar and Iran want all Jews dead according to their respective leaders, Qaradawi and Ahmadinejad.  .

This gets so convoluted.  Here is the line up of countries involved and the oil they produce and keep in reserve.  .

1. Iran -Shi'a-  2nd largest oil reserve  136.3 billions of barrels
2. Iraq-Shi'a and Sunni-3rd larges oil reserve  115.0 billions of barrels
3. Syria-Shi'a and Sunni- 15th largest oil reserve  2.5 billions of barrels
4. Lebanon-Shi'a and Sunni- no oil
5. Qatar-Sunni- 8th largest oil reserve 15.2 billions of barrels
6. Eygpt-Sunni- 13th largest oil reserve  3.7 billions of barrels
7. Sudan-Sunni-12th largest oil reserve  5.0 billions of barrels
8. Saudi Arabia-Sunni  Has the most oil 262.3 billions of barrels in reserve
9. Libya-Sunni- 6th largest oil reserve 41.5 billions of barrels
10. Jordan-Sunni- no oil
11. Israel-Jewish-no oil  -oil found, may be in production by next year.

The result is that these two Palestinian leaders have spent much time living in Qatar.  The larger neighboring countries have been pouring money into Gaza to gain power.

Does Abbas Use Israel's Innovations?

Nadene Goldfoot
The video below tells it all.  Israel is extremely innovative and has come up with all sorts of inventions that have helped the world, many of which are in the medical world as well as technologies that we have come to love and expect.

I am in awe of this teeny little state who is surrounded at least on 3 sides by enemies that have been trying to destroy them, from the Palestinians on the West side to Iran way in the East as well as Lebanon and Syria in the North.  Iran threatens with atomic bombs and Syria has chemical weapons. For the past 6 years they have also been continually bombed by the Palestinian Arab terrorists from Gaza as well, so the Southern Israeli population spends a lot of time in bomb shelters.  Besides the immediate dangers, there is also the UN who has managed to single out Israel as the one and only terrible country in the world, causing many to side with them.

To top it off, there are people who want to boycott, divest and sanction Israel's products in  destructive BDS movements.   They just want to punish Israel for trying to stay alive.  This is a situation for only the best of psychologists or sociologists to understand.  Anybody else would crumble under the stress Israelis live under, but for them they just keep inventing.

BDSers see everything Israel does as a crime, and in my opinion, twist facts as only the UN bias views things.  To these misinformed, hateful, judgemental  people, Israel has "denied Palestinians their fundamental rights of freedom, equality, and self-determination through ethnic cleansing, colonization, racial discrimination, and military occupation."

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, chief  of the Palestinian political group, Fatah and main negotiator has been refusing to sit down and talk to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for a long time, now.  Hillary Clinton only pressures  Netanyahu to do this but never Abbas, so Netanyahu just offered to release 124 Palestinian terrorist murderers from Israeli prisons in exchange for a meeting with Abbas. Of course, as usual, Abbas refused.  Did he want more of an offer?  Actually, he wants a settlement before he sits down to settle anything.  It's "give in to his wishes" and then he'll sit down, and that's the way it has been going on.  Netanyahu thinks that this is why people sit down and talk,  to decide on things together; some give and take on both sides of an issue.

This only brought on an attack against Israel by the Obama administration.  They are also angry now because Israel's Supreme Court, led by retired Supreme Court justice Edmond Levy, came out with the decree that their communities that go beyond the 1949 armistice lines are legal!  The findings were published this week and say that under international law, they are legal.  This is not new as it has been the position of Israel since 1967 and even since 1922.  Israel has held the right to sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem as well as all the land Israel took control over during the 1948-1949 War of Independence.

In the mandate that Britain held up till May 14, 1948, Britain was to facilitate settlement by Jews on the land, including state lands and wastelands not required for public purposes.  They were not to prohibit Jewish settlement and they did so  in every way possible.  They went against the requirement that they were to help Jewish settlement.   They took horrible action to prevent Jewish settlement, such as not letting Jews in the land in the late 30's who were escaping the Nazi persecution, even to the point of turning back shiploads of Jews needing their promised homeland, thereby causing their ultimate deaths. Then they went ahead and opened the land up to the Arabs, instead.

Israel is bucking a lot of negative pre-determined viewpoints about their state that say that their land, once said to be a nice piece, like a 9 X 12" sheetcake, shouldn't be any bigger than a postage stamp, and having shrunk to that size, should now give up more land called Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem.  Actually, Jordan (Transjordan) was to be a part of Israel originally.  And I ask, just who has been the people who have been denied their fundamental rights of freedom?  Who has been racially or religiously discriminated against?  Who's still the scapegoat in this world?

What About the Palestinians? PA changes Rules of the Game

Nadene Goldfoot
On May 16th PA President Mahmoud Abbas announced to all that Arab Palestinians living in Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Jordan or the other 132 countries he says they reside in, even those living in refugee camps in the planned Palestine state if still listed as refugees will not become citizens of the new state of Palestine.  No Jews of course, will be allowed to live there, either.  This was done through an op-ed to the New York Times.  Their first goal is to become members of the UN as a state in order to bring Israel to court and destroy them.

His plan is to keep the Palestinian Arabs  on the dole from UNRWA, which Americans and Europeans pay taxes to upkeep. They certainly don't want to miss out on that money.

Why this change in understanding the goal of creating a Palestine?  The world has been misled.  They do not intend to be the saviors and take care of their own people.  It's not to end such a conflict between Israel and Fatah-Hamas.  Their main goal is to change the rules and be able to claim legally and politically something against Israel at the UN, human rights treaty bodies and the International Court of Justice.  This is their way of continuing their war against Israel.  Ambassador Abdullah Abdullah also stated that the Palestinians will not automatically become citizens.  He wants UNRWA to be responsible for refugees and would continue its work as usual.  A few of the American Senators are already planning to cut down on the refugee list as it has grown to something like 5 million since the inception.  They have included children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on.

They don't want anyone to think that they would ever make any accommodations with the Zionists.  Statehood is just the means for the great final jihad and they are making it more efficient.  The major goal has never changed.  They are planning to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.  They keep denying the opportunity to make peace and thus establish a Palestine in order to achieve success and bring about another genocide against Jews.  To support a Palestinian state is supporting destruction of Israel and the genocide of its people, including the 1.4 million Arabs already living there.

Anyone for the continued existence of Israel has been called a Nazi or an extremist, somebody that shouldn't be listened to. All materials defending Israel might be labeled "Nazi" materials, no less.   Every time we've had some sort of affair going on at our Mittleman Jewish Community Center involving an Israeli program, we have passionate dissidents outside in the streets calling out nasty names to us.  Alan Dershowitz in his book  "The Case Against Israel's Enemies" has also had such experiences that were downright scary.  He saw: "passionate hatred, ecstatic hatred, orgasmic hatred.  It was beyond mere differences of opinion.  Phyllis Chesler describes the hatred she has seen as "eroticized."  "When Dershowitz looked into the faces of the protesters, he could imagine young Nazis in the 1930s in Hitler's Germany.  They had no doubt that they were right and he was pure evil for his support of the Jewish state."  I was not accepted into a Socialist meeting knocking Israel because I had sent them my post proving that Israel was not an apartheid state and that's what their meeting was going to cover.  I guess they didn't want to know what the word meant but enjoyed calling Israel such a nasty word.  I was barred.

Therefore, if there is a Palestine created and it becomes a member of the UN, this will not end the conflict.  It will become a framework that will change the rules of the game and be in favor of kicking out the only Jewish state in the world in favor of a 49th  Muslim majority state which will benefit no Palestinian who has been in an refugee camp.  These people will never become citizens of their country.   Palestine will not be a democratic state like Israel for already we have known since it was spoken about that Jews living in the land would be removed as it is to be free of Jews.

Stalemate Ending of Peace Talks While Gaza Exchanges Fire With Israel

Nadene Goldfoot
Supposedly, though  PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad was to meet with President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Netanyahu on the 17th , he did not attend.  Abbas had announced that he would, and seemed to be surprised that he didn't show up.

As it turned out, he wouldn't meet with Netanyahu.  Saeb Erekat, head of the PA negotiating team had told journalists just a few hours before the supposed meeting that he would be there, too.  Erkat had to stand in for Fayyad and was joined by Majed Faraj, PA general intelligence chief.

Netanyahu had his special envoy, Isaac Molho with him and the men talked for one hour 20 minutes.  The time was followed by a joint statement saying they both were committed to achieving peace.  Molho is to meet Abbas in Ramallah in the next 2 weeks and will bring an answer to a letter from the Palestinians about Israel's position on the borders of a future Palestinian state and security arrangements for Israel as part of any peace agreement.  It will no doubt include Israel's expectation that Palestinians recognize the State of Israel.

In the meantime, just 3 hours ago, the IDF and PA terrorists fired at each other on the Gaza border.  One was wounded.  The terrorists fired at the soldiers while they were near the security fence in central Gaza doing routine operational activities of clearing land in the early afternoon along the border.  .

The shooting damaged two armoured cars, so the Israelis answered back.  Israel's military keeps an exclusion zone inside the Gaza Strip along the border and regularly does this chore so that the land is safer and terrorists cannot hide in clumps.

On Tuesday evening, a rocket fired from Gaza and landed in Ashkelon.  This is what they had hoped to prevent.  Things like this that keep on happening.

Arab Acts on Abbas's "Palestinian Spring"
Nadene Goldfoot

After Friday's speech at the U.N., Abbas returned to Ramalla and launched his Palestinian Spring-of non-violence which lasted for about 5 minutes.  One of his people in was on highway 60 and picked up a rock and aimed it at a passing car.  it went through the windshield of 25 year old Asher Palmer and hit him right in the face, which caused him to lose control of the car.  He crashed and he and his 10 month old baby son, Jonatan, were killed.  This occured in Jerusalem.

Why the "Palestinian Spring?"  Abbas thinks that is how you cement your claims to land, and he is claiming Judea, Samaria, East Jerusalem and Gaza.  Evidently he can't bring himself to discuss the matter with Netanyahu.  Force is his only way.

Palestinian Authority Rewards Terrorism Against Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
The Palestinian leaders have done everything possible to brainwash their people into hating Jews and Israel since 1948.  Since 1967 they have  continued to educate everyone in their schools, on TV and in families in order to hate and fight against Israel.  Maps show no Israel.  Music is full of hatred encouraging a takeover of all of Israel, not just East Jerusalem.

Itamar Marcus and Nan Zilberdik have written an op ed exposing the Palestinian mind and how this type of encouragement has brought on the slaughter of the Itamar family in Samaria.  Abbas sent a message just two months ago supporting terror by awarding $2,000 to the family of a terrorist who attacked IDF soldiers.  Last week a newspaper, al-hayat Al-Jadida announced a football tournament named after their first female Palestinian suicide bomber, Wafa Idris.  Three weeks ago a TV program, under the direct control of Abbas's office, broadcast a video glorifying another terrorist, Habash Hanani who entered Itamar in 2002 and murdered 3 students.  They name things like summer camps after terrorists who kill.  The Palestinian leaders encourage such behaviors.  This is the way Abbas's Fatah is continuing to fight against Israel, and they are considered moderates by our government.  Those that commit such offenses will simply be rewarded, either financially, with notoriety, having places named for him, and of course, reward in paradise.

Now, it came to Abbas to respond to the world press.  His first response was "mealy-mouthed" and similar to Hamas's reaction of the slaughter as being deserved.  Someone must have gotten to him, for today in the Oregonian he is said to have actually responded again, but only after Israel criticized his leadership for his weak response to such an ungodly act.  He spoke in Arabic.  I have a feeling that he finally saw the photos of the dead children that made even him finally feel something.  Netanyahu and his cabinet has finally accused the Palestinian Authority of their indirect role in encouraging such violence.  This is something that we have all known about.  It's common knowlege that their educational system in Judea and Samaria has been teaching hatred and is trying to rewrite Israel's history, and we all know of their naming places after terrorists.

How can the Big Four expect a peace settlement with such warped messages being taught to the Palestinians.  How have they been able to ignore such behaviors in their demanding that Israel give into the Palestinian demands before a so called peace discussion ever starts?  Have our leaders not not been prepared with such knowledge or do they just have a blind eye or heart?  More likely they just don't care to realize what the outcome would be.

The Palestinians  are not ready for a peace process.  Neither is the Palestinian Authority.  They'll have to re-educate and brainwash themselves first in order to teach their people to have any sort of peace.  I'd like to think that Abbas meant what he said on the radio.  To be real, it must have been written for him by a publicist.  Now we'll just have to watch in the next few years and see who is rewarded for this bloody slaughter.

Ganging up on Israel

Nadene Goldfoot

Europe, Russians and Palestinians are ganging up on Israel and the USA. Saeb Erekat, Phd, an important Palestinian negotiator who lectures at An Najah U. in Nablus in Political Science, is pushing Israel to accept 7 million Palestinians in the "Right of Return" deal of Arabs who fled the area in 1948 when 7 Arab armies attacked Israel when it first declared itself a state. The fact that the number has gone from around 600,000 to 7 million does not deter him. Nor does the fact that they were not forced to leave by the Israelis but told to do so by their Arab leaders. Nor does he ever bring up the fact that a like number of Jews were forced out of the Arab countries and had to flee to Israel minus all their possessions. This is part of history that the Arabs want to forget about.

This admirer of Arafat has credentials in "Peace." How can he think that what he is demanding is a peaceful action? I guess it depends on what side of the fence you sit on as to how you view the world, no matter what you have studied in college. It's all how to use your learning to suit your personal needs.

Not only do they want to flood the country with Arabs, but they want all of Jerusalem for themselves. One can see why Netanyahu expects to have a pow wow with Abbas, even though Abbas is threatening to go to the UN to declare Palestine a state. Perhaps this is why Abbas is not bothering to come to the table. What he is demanding is out of line and he knows it. I think he is even embarrassed to demand in person such things. It's like the Middle Eastern way of shopping. One asks for a very high price and then both negotiate down to an amount that both can live with. I see Abbas starting at a ridiculous price that cannot even be considered.

Abbas's New Friend, Darfur's Genocidal Ruler

Nadene Goldfoot

Remember the genocide of Darfur? It started in Sudan in February 2003 and is still ongoing. 400,000 black Sudanese were killed by Arabs of the government. Who was the government? President of Sudan Omar Hassan Al Bashir was in charge. Sudan is the world's 8th most populated Muslim country. Its population is 43,939,598 as of July 2010 with 70% Sunni Muslims, 25% indigenous religions, and 5%Roman Catholics. 52% of the people are black. 39% are Arabs. Al Bashir runs an authoritarian republic.
Darfur is a very large (190,420 square miles or size of Spain) region of Sudan divided into West, South and North sections. It had been an independent Sultanate for about 200 years but was incorporated into Sudan by the Anglo-Egyptian forces.

Almost a year ago on January 9, 2010, Amnesty International proclaimed Global Day of Action for Sudan Awareness. They wanted to educate the public of the plight of the Darfurians so as to help protect them.

"A long-awaited referendum on southern Sudan’s independence, set in motion by a 2005 peace agreement to stop one of Africa’s worst civil wars, is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2011.
The vote could bring an end to the nearly one-million-square-mile experiment called Sudan, which for many troubled decades served as a bridge between the Arab and African world."
NY Times.

Abbas of the Palestinians just sent a letter to Al Bashir saying that he and his people have complete faith in his wisdom. He gives his personal support to him. The letter goes on to say that the Palestinian people stand side by side with their brother country, Sudan.

Al Bashir has been charged with murder, extermination, forcible transfer of people, torture and rape. He and his government are not nice people. This is who Abbas stands with and recognizes. This is his role model. This is scary, indeed. This is not the kind of man nor the kind of future neighbor that Israel wants or needs. Hamas is bad enough. Instead of wanting to emulate someone like the USA Canada, or even Jordan, Abbas picks the worst of the Arab regimes to align his future with.

Abbas has done other things, like take part in ceremonies revering terrorists who have been killed in action in ceremonies in the West Bank. He hasn't changed the goals of education but seems to keep them all hepped up to hate Jews.

Kissing Oslo Accords Good-bye

Nadene Goldfoot

Salam Fayyad, unelected Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority, just announced on Wednesday on his radio show that the PA will no longer be following the Oslo Accords that they signed in 1993. He said they wouldn't be a prisoner to their restrictions any longer. I wonder if he's also put this in writing.

The Oslo Accords were said by Feisal Husseini to be a Trojan horse designed to deceive Israel. So obviously this must mean that since the accords are now broken by the PA, Israel can also kiss them goodbye.

It could also mean that Israel could now annex the Israeli controlled areas of Judea and Samaria and create my new idea of calling the PA's area "Israel's Commonwealth," just like Puerto Rico is to the USA.

On the other hand, "Abbas said that despite the crisis in the peace talks with Israel, the Palestinians remained committed to a political solution on the basis of the road map and the Arab peace initiative, which he described as a “precious gift” to peace in the Middle East. Abbas plans to go to talk to Hosni Mubarak in Cairo tomorrow and discuss the situation. He said that as a last resort, he would ask Israel to take over.

"In exchange for statehood, the road map requires the Palestinian Authority to make democratic reforms and abandon the use of violence. Israel, for its part, must support and accept the emergence of a reformed Palestinian government and end settlement activity of the Gaza Strip and West Bank as the Palestinian terrorist threat is removed." They have not complied in reforming their educational goals in their hatred of Jews as shown in their textbooks. Their maps refuse to show Israel and instead just show Palestine. That would be under democratic reforms and using violence. They have had outbursts of violent acts of course, coming from their teachings and attitudes. Hamas broke off with Fatah in June 2007, so there is no reason for Israel to abide by the accords being they are constantly attacked. The Palestinians themselves are a divided group intent on different goals, at least on the surface. I do believe that Fatah differs only in that they are trying to achieve the same goal by diplomacy instead of so much bloodshed.

"Palestine" was to be all the land east of the 1949 armistice according to Palestinians. "The territory in question is home to approximately 500,000 Jews, along with up to 1.5 million Arabs, and includes historically Jewish towns as well as the Temple Mount, the Tomb of the Patriarchs, and Rachel's Tomb, Judaism's first, second, and third most holy sites respectively".

Making Peace? Fatah's Abbas Lacks Clout
The PLO, once ruled by Arafat, was a terrorist party called Fatah. It started in the early 60's and took over in 1968. Fatah means: conquest by mean of jihad. Jihad means: Islamic holy war.
Abbas took over as its leader when Arafat died. He lost the last election to Hamas in 2007 , an extreme terrorist organization who chased him to Judea and Samaria on the Eastern part of Israel.
The PLO Executive Committee is the governing body of this party. They are made up of 18 un-elected influential political men. They called a meeting to approve direct negotiations with Israel. Only nine members showed up. They needed twelve according to their constitution to approve of Abbas's participation.
The problem is that Abbas's term as President of the Palestinian Authority ended in January 2009. There have been no elections since Hamas won the 2007 election.
Abbas cannot negotiate for Hamas, who has sworn no recognition of Israel as its charter says they will drive Israel into the sea; meaning to destroy and end Israel. Fatah is now the main faction of the PLO. Therefore, Abbas has no control at all of the Gaza Strip. He has little control of Judea and Samaria shown by the attacks on Israelis recently who were driving there. Fatah has not recognized Israel. Israel cannot begin negotiations without this recognition.
Netanyahu is trying to make peace with a man who has no authority to make legitimate terms. How could he possibly have support from his own people? He can't even keep the Arabs in Judea and Samaria from attacking Israelis. He's done nothing about the text books the children use that show that all of Israel is Palestine or stop the instigative remarks found in these textbooks about hatred for Jews.
Here Israel is going through the motions of negotiating in good faith hoping to come to an agreement of peace. Netanyahu may be hoping that this will cause Abbas to actually win the support of the Arabs that he now lacks. Our hope is that the main body of Arabs in both sectors might enjoya peaceful condition.
I think they will also have to edit their charter. Many of the articles are simply about liberation and Jews.
