Muhammad's Knowledge of Jews-But Palestinians Never Heard of Us

Nadene Goldfoot                                               Moses

High-ranking PA figures claim that the Jews do not have religious or historical claims to the Holy Land.

The fact is that Muhammad recognized that Jews were "people of the book."  "The Book" was the Bible or Torah.  They were given a special status along with Christians; also people of the book, as Dhimmis.  They could not be killed, but had to pay a higher tax than the rest of the people, sort of like paying for "protexia, protection.  They had a lot of other abominable things heaved on their shoulders as well, things they couldn't do because of their inferior status.  Dhimmitude was like being a 2nd or 3rd class citizen.

Palestinian Arabs such as the PA  don't want to believe or have anyone else know the history of Jews in Palestine. Yet  Muslims have our prophets as their prophets.  They regard Moses as a prophet.  Where to they think they came from?  Do they realize that prophets were Jews?

Our Torah ( 5 Books of Moses) and Tanach (Old Testament to Christians)  is our record as Jews of being in Palestine.and before it was dubbed "Palestine." Its ancient names were Israel and Judah.    It's a book filled with our genealogy and the geography of the land.  It's so interesting to everyone that they've even made movies about episodes.  It's graphic in descriptions and details.  This is our record of our history.  Yet they deny it.

How anyone can listen to such statements with a straight face is unbelievable or take them seriously.  Even archaeology has proved our existence there.

In Albert's interview,  he discovered that the Muslims think that if they recognize Israel as a Jewish state,  it would mean accepting the end of their own history and ties and right to Palestine.  Of course!  They have created a myth about being there for 2,000 years, convincing other Muslims far and wide of this.  Such a rumor has traveled as far as Pakistan and Afghanistan, India and who knows where else.  Now they feel they can't lose face by admitting it was all make believe.

King David of Israel (1010-970 BCE)

Actually, the Palestinian history  in Israel really started with the return of Russian Jews and others around 1880 in the 1st Aliyah movement.  They came in droves after them looking for jobs as they heard they were building.  When asked, most said they were Syrians in those days.  They found some jobs in Tel Aviv.

There were also some Jews there that had never left the land but had converted to Islam in order to survive in the Ottoman Empire, and possibly even earlier. They're part of the Palestinian Muslims of today.   Remnants of their history are being preserved by Israeli researchers who have discovered this.  One has but to examine the homes they live in to see the star of David and other mementos of Jews  having lived there long ago.

                                        King Solomon

There were some Arabs  who had purchased land but never used it for much.  They in turn sold it to Jews at very high prices and left for better places such as Damascus or Cairo or even Paris.

They need to find their own history and will if they dig deep enough and do some good research on census records and such.  They would find living in the neighboring states as part of their heritage and all the history that would go with that.  However,  there is no history of a Palestinian people.  They were not a people.  They are families that have been living in what was initially called Palestine by the Romans who chose that word as an eraser:  They wanted to erase the history of the Jews as well.  It was easier to break Jews with, like horses, to make them obey, to be slaves, to take away their spirit.  That's what the Romans did to people who had been strong.  They took away the name of their country and renamed it.

Jews were also called Palestinians before the birth of Israel on May 14, 1948.  The land had been in the Ottoman Empire's hands up to WWI for 400 years.  They were on the side of the Germans during WWI, and lost the war, and by doing so, they lost their empire.  This is something that the Arabs do not want to accept, but then they fought on the British side.  Because of that, they were rewarded by the British who helped them enter Palestine illegally and didn't record it, and by giving them 80% of the Jewish Homeland that was set aside for the Jews to have when the British mandate came to its 30 year end.

So when they insist that there were never a Jewish people, you'd better check first to see if they even know how to read.  They are denying Muhammad who knew Jews in Medina and who read aloud on the streets for all to hear the stories from the Torah.  According to their own Koran, he even flew there on his flying horse, Buraq,  before he died which was in 632 CE.  He never used the word-Jerusalem, though, but said he went to the farthest mosque.  However, the Koran is full of some insights of his relationship with Jews.

So, aren't they besmirching Emir Feisal's good name who had agreed to the Jews returning to Palestine and building their state?  By denying that the Jews came from the Holy Land, aren't they in effect calling Muhammad a liar?

Why Salaam Fayyad of PA, Prime Minister and Economist, Calls It Quits, Maybe?

Nadene Goldfoot
The Palestinian Prime Minister, Salaam Fayyad, a moderate according to the West, has resigned.  Most likely he wasn't being listened to by the more powerful henchmen of Hamas, who maintain their actions of terrorism and strong -arming Gaza.   Jonathan Tobin, writing in commentary, feels this is a "pivotal moment in the history of the conflict".  That's because Fayyad has been the Western hope for a technocratic Palestinian state.  We're left with a weaker Abbas now, who has also threatened to resign and Hamas.  The idea of a 2 state solution isn't looking so good for many reasons.

The Oslo Accords of September 13, 1993 never promised a Palestinian state.  Agreements have never been reached.  Everyone saw the Judea-Samaria and Gaza as one unit or one state-to-be.  However, the heads of these two places never could come to any agreements that lasted more than a few weeks.  One issue for Netanyahu and Rabin has been not to be set back to the 67 borders.  A month before Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated, he had said, " "Israel will not return to the lines of 4 June 1967″ and then stated that "the security border for defending the State of Israel will be in the Jordan Valley, in the widest sense of that concept."

Dr. Fayyad was born in Deir al-Ghusun in the northern part of Judea-Samaria.  He has a PhD in economics from the U. of Texas in Austin.  He taught economics at Yarmouk U. in Jordan before joining the International Monetary Fund in 1987 where he was a rep for the PA from 1996 to 2001.  Then he was the regional manager of the Arab Bank in Judea-Samaria and Gaza until he became Yasser Arafat's finance minister.  I wonder if he knows how much money Arafat kept for himself?

He resigned as finance minister to run as founder and leader of the new Third War party in 2006.  Again on March 17, 2007, he became finance minister with the Fatah-Hamas coalition government.  By June 14, 2007, Hamas took over the Gaza Strip and he was appointed Prime Minister of the new "Independent" government which was supported by Fatah, Israel and the West.  He won his seat along with Hanan Ashrawi.    When he was offered the position of Prime Minister, he had a few conditions that he wanted.  One was that Hamas would recognize Israel, which they wouldn't do.  One of his comments which must been seen as an antidote to Hamas terrorism was,  "its the responsibility of men of religion to...present religion as a way of tolerance,...not as a cover for bloodshed.  "  Yet it has to be religion that is the cause of the Arabs not accepting Israel, causing much bloodshed on both sides.

Fayyad was credited for the US Congress' deposit of $200 million to the PA in 2009.  Even with all that money, Fatah hasn't been able to pay their utility bills to Israel.  They have been suffering economically.  In October 2011 the USA withdrew funding to UNESCO after the Palestinian Authority (PA) was accepted into the United Nations as a full member.  The USA's contribution to this organization is 22% of their needs. The PAof Judea-Samaria  ran up a debt of  $165 million dollars to Israel's electric corporation.  Israel collects money for the Palestinians, so finally froze their money and used it to pay off their bill.

"For 30 years, Israel permitted thousands of Palestinians to enter the country each day to work in construction, agriculture and other blue-collar jobs. Until the mid-1990s, up to 150,000 people—about a fifth of the Palestinian labor force—entered Israel each day. After Palestinians unleashed a wave of suicide bombings, the idea of separation from the Palestinians took root in Israel. Israel found itself starved for labor, and gradually replaced most of the Palestinians with migrants from Thailand, Romania and elsewhere."  What they did was to bite the hand that employed them.

Gaza has bombed southern Israel with missiles, mortars and rockets since 2001.  This is not the way to induce friendships.  In Judea-Samaria and Gaza, not many are working at anything except how to destroy Israel.  Their unemployment is above 50%.  No wonder Fayyad quit.  They are depending on handouts which they are getting from Iran, Qatar and others as well as the UN.  However, a country cannot be run this way.  Fayyad knows this and is disembarking from  a sinking ship.

What About the Palestinians? PA changes Rules of the Game

Nadene Goldfoot
On May 16th PA President Mahmoud Abbas announced to all that Arab Palestinians living in Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Jordan or the other 132 countries he says they reside in, even those living in refugee camps in the planned Palestine state if still listed as refugees will not become citizens of the new state of Palestine.  No Jews of course, will be allowed to live there, either.  This was done through an op-ed to the New York Times.  Their first goal is to become members of the UN as a state in order to bring Israel to court and destroy them.

His plan is to keep the Palestinian Arabs  on the dole from UNRWA, which Americans and Europeans pay taxes to upkeep. They certainly don't want to miss out on that money.

Why this change in understanding the goal of creating a Palestine?  The world has been misled.  They do not intend to be the saviors and take care of their own people.  It's not to end such a conflict between Israel and Fatah-Hamas.  Their main goal is to change the rules and be able to claim legally and politically something against Israel at the UN, human rights treaty bodies and the International Court of Justice.  This is their way of continuing their war against Israel.  Ambassador Abdullah Abdullah also stated that the Palestinians will not automatically become citizens.  He wants UNRWA to be responsible for refugees and would continue its work as usual.  A few of the American Senators are already planning to cut down on the refugee list as it has grown to something like 5 million since the inception.  They have included children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on.

They don't want anyone to think that they would ever make any accommodations with the Zionists.  Statehood is just the means for the great final jihad and they are making it more efficient.  The major goal has never changed.  They are planning to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.  They keep denying the opportunity to make peace and thus establish a Palestine in order to achieve success and bring about another genocide against Jews.  To support a Palestinian state is supporting destruction of Israel and the genocide of its people, including the 1.4 million Arabs already living there.

Anyone for the continued existence of Israel has been called a Nazi or an extremist, somebody that shouldn't be listened to. All materials defending Israel might be labeled "Nazi" materials, no less.   Every time we've had some sort of affair going on at our Mittleman Jewish Community Center involving an Israeli program, we have passionate dissidents outside in the streets calling out nasty names to us.  Alan Dershowitz in his book  "The Case Against Israel's Enemies" has also had such experiences that were downright scary.  He saw: "passionate hatred, ecstatic hatred, orgasmic hatred.  It was beyond mere differences of opinion.  Phyllis Chesler describes the hatred she has seen as "eroticized."  "When Dershowitz looked into the faces of the protesters, he could imagine young Nazis in the 1930s in Hitler's Germany.  They had no doubt that they were right and he was pure evil for his support of the Jewish state."  I was not accepted into a Socialist meeting knocking Israel because I had sent them my post proving that Israel was not an apartheid state and that's what their meeting was going to cover.  I guess they didn't want to know what the word meant but enjoyed calling Israel such a nasty word.  I was barred.

Therefore, if there is a Palestine created and it becomes a member of the UN, this will not end the conflict.  It will become a framework that will change the rules of the game and be in favor of kicking out the only Jewish state in the world in favor of a 49th  Muslim majority state which will benefit no Palestinian who has been in an refugee camp.  These people will never become citizens of their country.   Palestine will not be a democratic state like Israel for already we have known since it was spoken about that Jews living in the land would be removed as it is to be free of Jews.

Daily Mortar Attacks from Gaza
Nadene Goldfoot

You never see this news in an American newspaper like the Oregonian, but mortar attacks have been going on daily all year from Gaza. Today a home was hit on a kibbutz. It's like living in the firing zone of someone playing Russian Roulette. You never know when or where somebody or something can be hit. It's something that you don't get used to, either. It just tightens up your nerves.

December 2, 2010 3 mortars and 1 Qassam rocket landed, then another rocket hit dairy and injured cows near Ashkelon, Portland's sister city.

December 3, 2020 7 mortar shells hit Israel
December 6, 2010: Qassam rocket landed near Ashkelon, Portland's sister city
December 7, 2010 2 mortars landed in the Eshkol region of southern Israel.
December 8, 2010 1 mortar landed in the Sha'ar Hanegia region of southern Israel.

All this has been going on all year and the US has at the same time been pressuring Israel to freeze building in Judea and Samaria, though they already had done so in the 10 month period before and no peace discussions came about. How can my country pressure Israel about peace, which is what Israel wants, when half the Palestinians are making constant war on Israel? Why doesn't our government pressure Hamas to cut out their shooting at Israel in the first place? How can there possibly be peace talks when Israel is being constantly attacked by a party that had even attacked Fatah? Gaza being occupied by Israel ended in 2005. Israel had to create a blockade in 2007 when Hamas terrorists threw out Fatah and took over Gaza.

The PA have had the chutzpa to demand that Israel stop building before they would even talk about peace making-and then they can only speak for their own Fatah group.

8:28pm 12/8/10 Israel just completed air strikes on Gaza after mortar shell fragments from a fired mortal shell wounded a man on an agriculture site near the border was hit. Israel bombed two training sites. The Israeli was taken to a hospital in Bersheba.

This was the first casualty since March when a worker from Thailand was killed by mortar shelling.

Peres Behind J. Street

by Nadene Goldfoot
President Shimon Peres is behind J Street claims David Bedein, my old friend from Safed. David is now a journalist who heads the Israel Resource Review. He's in Washington , DC to speak to congressmen. J-Street is a very liberal US Jewish lobby seen by many of us as anti-Israeli. It's trying to replace AIPAC.

J-Street is made up of all the leftist NGO's who are tying to restart the Oslo process. The Peres Center for Peace is behind the scenes. It moderated most of the discussions in their recent convention. Their aim is to get congressmen to support the Oslo process.

J-Street is promoting the idea that Fatah is a reliable partner for peace, and many of us realize it is not. They're for the Oslo way and establishing a Palestinian state even though there is no peace or acceptance of Israel or that Abbas has no say over Hamas in Gaza who would take it over.

Bedein will be explaining the situation with videos and books by the Palestinian Authority that show they are not moderates, but are militant and constantly inciting against Israel. There are congressmen who seek the truth. Bedein is speaking out at his own expense as the Israeli government is gun-shy about doing this. They may not even understand J-Street's damage they are causing Israel.

Some of these J-Streeters also need to see David's presentation and realize that they are on the wrong side of the street. We don't need our own people being bamboozled into looking through rose colored glasses and not seeing the oncoming traffic heading their way.

Dumb and Dumber: Mitchell's Same Old Peace Plan

Palestine and Israel
by Nadene Goldfoot
The United States and Europe assume that the Palestinians want peace. Could they possibly be wrong?
The Palestinians were offered their own state in 1948 when Israel was created. They rejected the idea and immediately attacked Israel with five Arab states. Surely they were carrying out the dictive to kill Jews and certainly not to reside next to them. After 60 years of attacking Israel, things have not changed. Their charter has not changed. Their behavior has not changed, except to get worse. They have elected Hamas, under the pressure of the United States to hold elections. Hamas has nothing in its charter to have a state or to live peacefully next to Israel. That tells us a lot about what its people desire.

Fatah is assumed to behave better, only they seem to differ from Hamas only in that they are more secretive in their resistance to Israel. Fatah boasts that their terror cells in Gaza also fired upon Israel just as Hamas fired missiles against Israel. Fatah has terror cells called Aksa Martyrs. They claim that during Operation Cast Lead, their terrorists fired 137 rockets and mortar shells at Israel. This means that Israel was fired on by both groups. Abbas claims that his people did so because they are living under Hamas rule, but from 2000 to June 2007, when Hamas kicked Fatah out of Gaza, most of the weapons smugglings operations in Gaza were done by Fatah, who did the most firing at Israel. Most suicide bombers from Judea and Samaria were members of Fatah. It isn't the moderate group that they claim to be, unless they call this action moderate.

There are those that lay the blame on Israel constantly saying if only this or that was done, they would be nice people. They blame Israel for not being supportive of Arafat and now Abbas! They were the leaders trying to do Israel in and were always attacking, and we should have been more supportive? Perhaps Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice think that America should have been more supportive of Hitler, then. Shouldn't we now support people who want to kill us? What kind of convoluted thinking is this?

1. They continue: If only Israel had kicked out the Jews of Gaza earlier. Israel removed all the Jews in Gaza and handed the ruins of their villages and farms to Fatah in September 2005.
2. If only Israel had removed its roadblocks and expelled Jews from their homes in Judea and Samaria;
3. If only Israel had prevented all Jewish construction beyond the 1949 armistice lines; Since 2000 Israel has stopped Jewish building in Judea and Samaria.
4. Only Israel is asked or told to give, give, give up land to the Palestinians. The Palestinians are not told to do anything in regards to Israel, like be good neighbors. There are no expectations for them.

Then Arafat and now Abbas would have been more popular and would stop their terrorist forces.
These people receive a salary from the PA which is funded by the US and Israel. So Israel is forced to fund the very people who want to see their total destruction by the forces that be.

Mitchell has been selected again by the Democrats. Again, he'll go for a plan first created by Tom Friedman, then copied by Saudi Arabia, who was praised by Obama by being so brave, the PLO's peace plan. Mitchell told Arafat that the conditions were that he had to make 100% effort to prevent terror. That was funny because it was he who called the shots of terror. Clinton's administration used the old nod-nod-wink-wink attitude of Palestinian terrorism since 1994. They allowed things to happen. Mitchell said that Israel and the Palestinians were equally to blame for the terror of the Palestinians against Israel. I guess that's like blaming a girl for being raped. (If only she had dressed like a boy). Well, today she might not have been safe at that. This meant that Arafat wasn't responsible for anything in Clinton's eyes. He could say that their attacks didn't come from him, that he was doing his 100% good old try at resisting.

I must say that Hillary Clinton has been much more supportive of Israel, and also feels that they have a right to respond when attacked. That is 100% improvement from her husband's attitude. I hope she has some knowledge that she could share with Mitchell and help him to become more understanding or caring about Israel's future.

By the time Bush got in, he didn't go along with Mitchell's plan or Mitchell. After all, he was a Republican and had to get some different players on his team. The scene had shifted to finding Israeli children's body parts on the walls of bombed pizzerias and bar mitzva parties that had to be scraped off in order to bury them. Bush didn't cry "moral equivalence" at this point. Even he could see that Israel was enduring a lot of attacking and was unlike the Palestinians. However, his plan copied the Clinton Plan, formed the Tenet Plan, the Road Map Plan and then the Annapolis Plan, so there wasn't that much difference.

Like the others, Obama sets his table with Palestine's creation as the centerpiece. Everyone is bound and determined to create this 2nd state made up of murderous hearts ready to kill Israelis. How lucky we are! They feel that the only other solution is to absorb Palestinians into Israel, which is an even worse idea.
I say that some of the other 22 Arab states should absorb them, such as Saudi Arabia. They are so helpful and so in need of people. They have a large body of land and very little constituents.

Wouldn't they like these Palestinians living next to them?

Israel has been attacked over and over again by 5 nations at one time, and Israel has won despite the odds. Israel has gone along with having a Palestinian state only to be attacked. The Palestinian people have done nothing to show that they would be good neighbors. They have done just the opposite. It's like having an open mental institution next door with no one controlling the inmates who are killers.

Now the heads of state, Marshall as representative, expect Israel to give again as if we haven't already done so and it never gains us any peace. After doing the same thing over and over and over and over, one would think that this behavior is not getting us anywhere. Repeating an action that gets you nowhere is crazy. I'm not for giving land for peace anymore. How about doing what the USA has done. If you attack us, we take your land. For every bomb shot into Israel, we take 25 KM of land. At that rate, we might take back all of Gaza.

Many Arab states attacked Israel including all the Palestinians. They lost the attack. The land is legitimately part of Israel. Israel does not have to give up land but has done so in the name of peace. Peace has not come. Israel being attacked and not responding is now a thing of the past. Israelis have had enough!
Mitchell made the statement at Tel Aviv U. last month that "the US and Israel must cling to the delusion that Palestinian statehood will bring about a new utopia, for the alternative is unacceptable and should be unthinkable." This indeed is a delusion that should be dropped for sanity's purposes. We must not delude ourselves, but look at the picture sanely. Here is a people who do not want their own state and who probably could not manage it at all given the free reign to do so. They are killers and not lovers of anything, including their own children. They think dying is terrific.

Mitchell is making the same old pitch with nothing new. He's not as creative or fair as Obama makes out to be. When Obama steps up to the plate, G-d help him to be understanding and fair with Israel. Haven't we gone through enough with such dreamers?

Update: 1/30/09 Former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces and now member of the Likud party, Moshe Yaalon said: "From the dawn of Zionism until this day, the source of all terrorist attacks has been the refusal of the Arab world to recognize Israel's existence. Until this changes, we will remain the target of violent terrorist activity. The '67 borders are not a solution to rocket attacks, suicide bombs or more conventional forms of warfare. The two-state solution has failed and to my mind is now irrelevant. Even before the [war with] Hamas, a two-state solution was a mistaken fantasy—now it's even more irrelevant."
