Palestinian in Stolen Taxi Injures Tel Avivians
Nadene Goldfoot

Just before 2:00 am Monday morning a Palestinian in his 20's from Nablus stole a taxi after stabbing the driver in his hand and rammed into a Border police checkpoint near a Tel Aviv nightclub, hitting  4 policemen.  Then he pulled out his knife and stabbed 3 civilians who were walking by before he was arrested, injured and taken to the hospital.

He shouted the usual battlecry,  "Allahu akbar "G-d is Great!" as he started stabbing the people.

The Haoman 17 nightclub was housing over 1,000 teenagers from high schools who were having an end of summer party.
A similar attack happened in May when one Israeli was killed.  This sort of thing used to happen more in the past.

Iran's Involvement in 9/11 and Their Attempt to Destroy Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
Iran was  the instigator and abettor of the assassins in 9/11 in New York ten years ago.  The Havlish case is a document from American lawyers working on this civil action filed by the widow of an insurance consultant that died in 9/11 in the World Trade Center.   The suit is against bin Laden and al-Qaeda.  Al-Qaeda operatives  received training in Iran.  Their classes were in air line hijacking.  There was important communication four months before 9/11 in which an important Iranian intelligence official authorized support for "al-Qaeda's future plans."

Iran was tracked being involved with al-Qaeda in 1993 when Hizbullah's Imad Mughniyah, a terrorist having multiple operations against U.S. citizens, met in Sudan with Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri who has assumed the highest al-Qaeda position from bin Laden.  Mughniyah has been declared the most dangerous terrorist in the world in our era by two former CIA senior officials in an affadavit.  He was an Iranian agent high up in the Hizbullah hierarchy who organized the international transfers for a part of the 9/11 hijackers through Iran, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan plus other places.  By doing all this, it helped the 9/11 attack by obtaining US visas, training in Afghanistan and Iran, and entry into the US.  The lawyers gathered testimonies of Iranian intelligence officials who sought asylum in the West.  One said that Iran had advance knowledge of the plan to blow up aircraft in sites in NY and Washington.  He was also present at the Sunni terrorist training camps inside Iran.  (Yediiot Ahronot Newspaper)
(from The Eleventh Day, by Summers and Swan).

Ahmadinejad, Iran's president said that his country was "determined to eradicate Israel."  They profess to be for humanity and others should also be for eradicating the Zionist regime which they call Israel.  To him this would be a symbol of suppression and discrimination.  This was all recently said on Lebanese television network carried by ISNA. " Iran is doing this with determination and decisiveness and will never ever withdraw from this standpoint and policy," he added. This was in an interview with the Al-Manar network.

Ahmadinijad said Friday that the creation of a Palestine state was only the first step to the destruction of Israel.  Like he said in 2005, Israel was a "tumor" to be wiped off the map and urged Arabs in PA areas not to settle with a 2 state solution but to "strive" for a return of what they thought was their land.  September 22nd at the UN in recognizing Palestine is not the last goal but the first step forward towards taking all of Palestine.  This is what he told men at Friday prayers showing support for the PA cause.  He continued with his platitudes:  "the Zionist regime is a center of microbes, a cancer cell and if it exists in one iota of PA land they will mobilize again and hurt everyone."  "It is not enough for them to have a weak, powerless state in a very small piece of Palestine.  ...the ultimate goal is the liberation of the whole of Palestine."  "I urge the Palestinians never to forget this ideal.  Forgetting this ideal is equal to committing suicide.  It would be giving an opportunity to an enemy which is on the verge of collapse and disappearance.  "  Iran is the driving force behind Hamas and Hizbullah in a war against Israel.  They also have been striving to have nuclear capabilities to use in arms against Israel.

Our US Treasury Department also has found 6 al Qaeda members based inside Iran.  Some are also outside Iran but funnel recruits and cash through Iran.  They have an agreement between al Qaeda and the Iranian government.  One person was born in Libya known only by his first name of Atiyah.  He is an al Qaeda overall commander in Pakistan and the leader of al Qaeda in North and South Waziristan, Pakistan who had been appointed by Osama bin Laden to serve as the emissary in Iran.  That way he could travel in and out of the country easily.  He had been planning a terrorist attack set to be on the anniversary of 9/11.  Some think he is more important than Ayman al Zawahiri, the new emir of al Qaeda.  He's their Operations Chief.   He's the apointed al Qaeda emissary to Iran and is one of the beneficiaries of a deal between Iran's government and Ezedin Abdel Aziz Khalil, man with the money and men from the Gulf States through Iran to Atiyah.  He was protected after 9/11 for several years by Iran.

Therefore, tens of thousands of Iranians marched in Tehran on Friday on their "Quds Day" rally.  They showed solidarity with Palestinians by being against Israel.  This was shown on their state TV.  Major cities had large crowds with banners saying "Death to Israel" and "Death to America."

Iran calls the USA "Big Satan" and Israel "Little Satan."  I feel the biggest evil in the world are the leaders of Iran.  We know that their people have tried to revolt once but were squashed.  We saw this on TV.  Wasn't it Nadja who was murdered before our eyes?  How is it that madmen like  their President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad become so powerful?

Libya Procurer of Weapons For Hamas
Nadene Goldfoot
There are all kinds of ways of making money. It's said that money is the root of all evil.   Libyan local warlords and foreign middlemen competed with each other to procure weapons that they stole from arsenals in Libya through their popular Black Market.  They were able to get a hold of anti-aircraft guns, mortars and such and they were smuggled into Gaza through Egypt to Hamas.   I wouldn't be surprised if all that money that goes to the PA from the UN winds up buying weapons this way.  I doubt if these people are just do-gooders and do it for the sake of the party.

No, it doesn't look like Israel will have an embassy in this country.

Israel's Embassy and Ambassador to Egypt Threatened
Nadene Goldfoot

The Muslim Brotherhood is instigating the ousting of Israel's ambassador in Egypt.  His life has been threatened.  They're screaming for expelling him.  They have thrown firecreackers towards the Israeli flag in trying to burn it and finally did get it taken down.  Ahmad al Shahat had climbed up the 22 story building to do so.  He was promptly rewarded by a provincial governor with a new home and a new job for doing so.

Yitzhak Levanon has been told to leave or be killed.  He's the 10th ambassador since 1980 when Egypt signed a peace pact with Israel.  He's been there since November 2009.  The Egyptian military has closed the road to his home where he was also threatened with death and his flag was also destroyed there.  The closed road is for his protection but I would think that this also makes him a prisoner in his home as well.

A facebook movement called the Million  Man is a protest to oust him.  Here facebook was created by a Jewish kid and is now being used to get rid of a Jewish ambassador.  What would the Egyptian mob do without us?

8/30/11 update:  The flag is flying again at the embassy after over a week of being down.
9/9/11 update:  Police had to use tear gas and shoot blanks into the air in an effort to disperse thousands of protesters at the Israeli Embassy in Cairo.  The attackers were using hammers on the building to gain entrance and managed to throw embassy documents and the Israeli flag out the windows.  About 200 demonstrators were wounded.  There were at least 450 active protesters.  The Israeli envoy is flying out .  No Israelis were hurt.

More Mortars Bursting
Nadene Goldfoot
Tit for tat, and so the war goes on.  This time the Military Branch of the Islamic Jihad took responsibility for a barrage of 5 rockets that were fired into southern Israel around Ofakim Wednesday evening from Gaza.  When it's early morning here it's evening there.  One landed south of Ashkelon and three in Be'er Sheva.  Also, rockets landed in the Eshkol Regional Council.

A rocket hit a car in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council and injured a little toddler's hand in it.  Rocket fire continued late Wednesday night.  Two rockets landed in Sderot, which is very close to the Gaza border.

In retaliation, Israel hit  storage buildings for weapons in both north and south Gaza. and they also hit tunnels used for sneaking in weapons.

Why the barrage this time?  The Jihad group was angry because Israel got one of the terrorists named Ismael al-Asmar, 34 years old.  This is turning into a Hatfield-McCoy situation.  X shoots at Y and Yshoots back and X shoots again because Yshot back.  The difference is that Israel can pinpoint their target and the terrorists terrorize by shooting rockets and missiles into a populated civilian area.  If they didn't have bomb shelters to run to in a matter of seconds more would be dead and injured.  As it is the hospital will be full of terrorized people.  The terrorists know they can expect retaliation after they have attacked Israel.  Israel is never sure when missiles will rain down and must stay close to bomb shelters.

All Israelis in the southern area were told to stay indoors.  A community had to cancel a music festival.  Then two more mortar shells were fired into the Israeli territory.    The Iron Dome did stop a Grad rocket.

The terrorists reported that two of their men were dead and 20 were injured.  They have an awful lot of Muslims compared to the Jewish population, and they don't seem to mind dying when they can go out as a marytr which earns them 72 virgins.  Jews have no such reward.  They just want to live.

The Barzilai Medical Center of Ashkelon, Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
Ashkelon is Portland, Oregon's sister city and the Barzilai Hospital there has been close to being hit several times.  It's Israel's front line hospital on the Gaza border.  They take in patients that are Jewish and Muslim, terrorists and whoever manages to get there in need. That's what all the hospitals in Israel do.   The hospital services 502 square miles.  The residents in this area are 500,000.  It has 500 beds and a level 2 trauma center.  It's Israel's foremost center for trauma care and nurse training.

The hospital has been treating many patients, especially since 2006 with all the missile attacks since then.  They continue to be able to deliver the best medical treatment to all injured soldiers and civilians and also  provides  professional expertise, compassion and care.  They do need our help all the time as the world economy has almost stopped the flow of monetary assistance from around the world.  World-wide propaganda against Israel hasn't helped, either.

The Israelis have suffered a great deal in the Gaza border area of southern Israel.  In 2006 there were 1600 Kassam missile attacks.  The hospital had 1400 patients with acute and post traumatic stress disorders and diseases then.  Each year they treat 100,000 emergencies.

They have had a 150% constant occupancy each year.  Their cafeteria is regularly converted into hospital bed spaces.  That's not surprising.  When I was in the hospital in Haifa in 1981, (I had fallen and crushed my elbow) I was out in the hallway naked with an IV dripping down my arm.  It was that full.  It was Haifa's army hospital.  Luckily later I was moved into a large ward full of women.  It was 6 weeks later when we had the Lebanon war and I couldn't even see my doctor then to talk about taking out the screws from my arm as they were going to be extremely busy.

Ashkelon is one of the oldest cities in the world.  They go back 4,000 years.  In 1955 the modern city was founded by South African Jews when their town of Afridar merged with Migdal, a former Arab town.  Their national park has Greek and Roman ruins and the remains of ancient synagogues.  There is also a Roman tomb decorated with frescoes, the ruins of a Byzantine church and a wall built by Crusaders in the city.  They have a population of about 120,000.

Ashkelon is also distinguished by having the world's largest water desalination plant.  Baltimore, Maryland is also another sister city with Ashkelon.

My personal experience
Popular Resistance's Five Minute Cease Fire
Nadene Goldfoot

The Popular Resistance Committee, funded and supported by Hamas, said through Abu Ataya that they never said they'd cease firing.  It was only a temporary halt.  They fired two mortars into Southern Israel Wednesday  from two different locations and also said that they will continue to do so.

Israel has filed a formal complaint to the U.N.  They of course retaliated and killed one of the terrorists.  Either Hamas cannot control their PRC branch or they really don't intend to.

Three Egyptians were part of the recent attack in the Eilat area and was reported in the Egyptian newspaper of Al Masry Al Yaoum.  They were members of the extremist Islamic group.  One had escaped from prison during the revolution against Mubarak and never caught.  They were members of a group of 12 terrorists who were divided into 4 groups working over a long 12 kilometer area.  Some wore brown uniforms that were similar to the Egyptian army uniforms.  At least our California Crips and Bloods wear different colors.  Here it's getting hard to tell who is who.

EARTHQUAKES STRIKE Israel and Virginia
Nadene Goldfoot
Sunday morning at 11:55am a 4.3 earthquake was felt in Haifa.  It had stuck Israel's Central coast without injuring anyone.  It was 10 miles deep and 44 miles NW of Tel Aviv and 49 miles WSW of Haifa.   Gaza even felt this one.

The last major earthquake Israel had had struck in 1837 in Safed (Tzfat) killing 4,000 people there.

I had visited friends in Safed who were living in one of the homes that were dug out of the earthquake.  While there from 1980-1985 I felt an earthquake when attending a class on the 12th floor of our apartment building.  The building swayed back and forth.  Our apartment was on the very bottom floor, and my husband had never felt it at all.

Today Washington DC was hit with a 5.9 earthquake that even Obama felt in Martha's Vineyard.  The Pentagon was evacuated.  This was one that was felt on the Eastern Seaboard.

Golden, Colorado also experienced an earthquake.  The two in the states were not connected except by time.

Middle East Logic in Gaza: Why Terrorists Have Suddenly Attacked Israel Again
Nadene Goldfoot
Southern Israel has been suffering from a massive attack of missiles and  rockets that have rained down on them, killing and destroying.  The reason is that the Arab Hamas and Fatah leaders are planning on going to the UN on September 22nd for recognition of their nation of Palestine.

So why suddenly attack Israel?  The Arab terrorists are attacking Israel for the prime purpose of getting Israel to retaliate.  Then they will be able to say: "We condemn the Israeli offensive on Gaza and Egypt's land."  This was actually what they did say to reporters in Cairo, Egypt.  "The U.N. has to take procedures to stop the Israeli offensive on Gaza", they declared.

Abbas has already called on the U.N. to get an emergency meeting organized to discuss Israel's air strikes.

Israel had warned Gaza terrorists that when they attack Israel with their missiles and such, Israel will respond with air strikes.  Israel bombs places where the missiles come from and tunnels that bring in weapons.  It does not go after population centers.  So in their warped thinking, the terrorists think they are able to declare Israel the culprit.  And the world thinks that only Gadaffi in Libya is insane.  I just hope that the U.N. is aware of the differences between offensive and defensive moves.

15 Rockets Fired After Cease Fire
Nadene Goldfoot
The Popular Resistance Committee of Gazan terrorists were resisting the cease fire order from Hamas on Monday because several of their senior members were killed in the last retaliating volley from Israel.  They know the outcome of their attacks:  when they fire into Israel, Israel will retaliate from the air.  This airstrike got the rocket launching devise.  Israel does not aim for people, but sites where the firing comes from in trying to stop it.  They have hit tunnels and such as well.

Israel's new Iron Dome protection capability was able to stop 4 out of 5 rockets fired, but that last one that got into Israel hit a young Israeli man, Yossi Shushan,  and killed him.  Another rocket was heading for Ashkelon but the Iron Dome stopped it. 4 of the 15 rockets landed in the Sderot vicinity and in the outskirts of Ashkelon.   A building was hit in this new volley.  The terrorists have resorted to firing a volley of many rockets like 7 in order to get some through the Iron Dome.  This is stopping quite a few of them.  Israel plans on procuring a few more Iron Domes by next year.  They have the capability to stop rockets fired into heavier populations so as not to waste them.

Egypt did not recall their ambassador to Israel as they had threatened when several of their soldiers were killed in the shootout between the IDF and the terrorists in the first volley.  It took a lot of counseling to calm things down.

UPDATE:  Cease Fire Brokered - 3 Days of Violence
Nadene Goldfoot

Diplomats in Jerusalem and Cairo from the USA, France and Germany worked on a cease fire between the Gazan Hamas terrorists and Israel after 3 days of an escalated  total of 100 rockets  fired into southern Israel.  The PA were using violence to bolster their case for statehood, they said.  They want to control the borders.  I suppose they want a clear shot without bothering to be chased  by the Israeli border patrol.  Egypt brokered the agreement.  They had been ready to cease all agreements with Israel as well after 3 of their soldiers were killed when they were in the line of fire.  It has been soundly emphasized that Israel will only stop its airstrikes if the terrorists stop firing these missles, etc.  What can happen now is that this interim time will only give the terrorists a chance to reload.  That's what has happened in the past.

Early Sunday morning Israel time, which is about 12 hours ahead of Portland, OR found a missile had hit an Israeli school that was empty and that thousands of people had to spend their time in bomb shelters.  The distance missiles and mortars can travel today is much farther than 5 years ago.  More towns and cities are in jeopardy.

Interestingly, Iran was reported to oppose statehood for Palestine.  Their comments are always that of demolishing Israel completely.  I suppose they plan on doing something devastating and then the Arabs can have the whole area for themselves.  This is the Middle East.  It is hard to figure on the rational used by both Hamas and Fatah as well as Iran in this case.  It reminds me of the old joke:  An alligator met a scorpion who wanted to get on the other side of the river so asked for a piggy-back ride and the alligator agreed.  In the middle of the river the scorpion bit the alligator and both went down.  "Why did you do that for?  Now we'll both die!" lamented the alligator.  "I don't know why, hissed the scorpion.  I'm just a Middle East scorpion.  Go figure!"

3 Egyptian Soldiers Killed by Being in Line of Fire In Midst of Major Assault on Southern Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
Israel was attacked by terrorists in Southern Israel.  Israeli soldiers and the air force have told them that when they kill Israeli citizens they will retaliate.  In the act of chasing after the terrorists who had got away and were entering Egypt, the 3 Egyptian soldiers must have been in the line of fire of a shootout between the terrorists and Israelis and were accidently killed.  Israel has apologized profusely.

The reply from Egypt is that their ambassador is being recalled from Israel and Israel's embassy was under mob attack.  The Muslim Brotherhood, main political party with clout has replied that this was a crime.  They said that what happened before the revolution will not be tolerated now after the revolution.

Israel had made peace with Sadat and Hosni Mubarak also signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1979.  Part of the peace agreement was that Egypt was to have restricted number of troops in the Sinai.  Last week they moved thouslands of troops into the Sinai Peninsula against al-Qaida inspired terrorists and even arrested 22 Islamic militants.

Today Israel was hit by 2 more rockets; one in the Pitchat Shalom region and the other in Shaar Ha Negev region.  Since July 1st 26 rockets have been fired from Gaza.

Saturday's attack by Hamas terrorists in Beersheba Ofakin caused injuries to a baby, a 9 year old and a young man in his 20's.  A rocket had hit the roof of a home and caused shrapnel injuries.  Another hit a car as well, while yet another hit a business building.  Hamas announced that the end of the two year truce was here.  Reports that 80 some rockets have been fired at Israel already.  Haaretz reports that since Thursday there have been 50 Qassam rockets, Grad missiles and mortar shells  fired into southern Israel.  There has been a death and 4 wounded in one attack with 26 people treated for shock.  Israel is being attacked not only by Hamas terrorists but another branch of them called the Popular Resistance Committee.

17 Grad Missiles Fired at Be'er Sheva and Ashdod
(count now 8 dead  41 injured)

Israel is experiencing multiple attacks using Grad missiles and Kassam rockets in many places at the same time.
Israel has Iron Dome missile Interceptor which stopped several missiles fired into Be'er Sheva and Ashdod but didn't stop one of them.  This one came in a 2nd round of firings and hit a synagogue in Ashdod at 8:15am.  Another missile landed next to a yeshiva.  6 men were wounded from shrapnel, one in serious condition.

Minutes later a Kassam rocket was launched in the area of Ashkelon where the largest hospital is.  During the night terrorists fired several Kassam rockets from Gaza which landed in the Sdot Negev area.

Our IAF jets targeted 7 terrorist compounds in retaliation such as a weapon manufacturing site and two terror activity centers, two smuggling tunnels and such.

Now we know that 8 Israelis died in the Eilat attack.  This is the worst attack Israel has suffered from for a long time.  The IDF managed to take the life of the top terrorist, Abu Awad Kamel a-Neirab, commander of a Brigade that was the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, an offshoot of Hamas.

Eilat Area Receives Multiple Attacks Thursday
Nadene Goldfoot
6 / now 7 now 8 Israelis were killed and 25/updated to 33 injured around 20 kilometers north of Eilat around noon on Thursday.  The area was hit in three different incidences. Eilat is Israel's southernmost  city of 46,600 people.  It's a popular resort for international tourism being it's on the northern tip of the Red Sea on the Gulf of Eilat.  It sportss lovely beaches, great nightlife and desert landscapes.  Scandinavians love to go there for a sun tan and swimming.  It's also a major port for Israel.

1. An Israeli Egged Bus was driving along the Israel/Egyptian border in Southern Israel when a car passed loaded with terrorists who opened fire.  This happened on Highway 12.  Nine people were wounded.

2. A car driven by an Israeli with passengers was hit by an anti-tank missile in the second incident.

3. An IDF patrol vehicle was hit by either a grenade or some other kind of explosive device.

The IDF gave chase after the terrorists and fire was exchanged between the two.  Now the public has been advised to stay away from Highways 10 and 12 which are now closed.  Kerem Shalom and Erez Crossing are also closed between Gaza and Israel.  This is so the Security and Rescue forces can get their work done.

Eilat's neighbors are the Egyptian village of Taba and the Jordanian city of Aquaba.  One can even see Saudi Arabia across the Gulf.  The terrorists no doubt came from Gaza and belonged to Hamas.

Two Grad Missiles Land in Be'er Sheva Area
On Monday evening, two Grad missiles landed in Be'er Sheva from Gaza.  This time the IDF saw the group of terrorists firing and preparing to fire more when they fired at them, killing one and wounding four others.  The IDF is on patrol and will not tolerate any missiles fired into Israel.  The Israeli Air Force then retaliated and struck 4 terror targets.

Palestinian Refugee Camp in Syria for 63 Years
Nadene Goldfoot
What is unbelievable to me is that ever since 1948, some "Arabs that were living in Palestine" have remained in  Refugee camps without ever becoming a member of another Arab country.  They would rather remain as refugees.  The UN seems to be complicit in this as well, not helping them to integrate into another society.  It's a matter of feeding the goals of their political masters.

Syria is on a rampage killing their own citizens who were engaging in the Arab Spring.  Now these refugees are caught in the tummult.  Between 5,000 and 10,000 have fled,  reported Christopher Guness, spoksesman for the UNRWA agency which cares for the Palestinian refugees.  So many people on refugee status!  What do they do all day and what does the person who cares for them do?  It's more like an Indian Reservation.  Our Native Americans did not fare very well at all on the Reservations.  Alcoholism became rampant with them.  They were hunters and could no longer practice their skills.  So what are the Arabs doing all day and all night?  They are most likely not working.  They still continue to receive funds from the UN as the longest known refugee status people in the world.  They are on their 3rd generation of people on welfare who have not been preparing to take care of themselves.  Their numbers have grown considerably.

Now they are on the run and their caretaker is very worried about them as some have been reported as dead and nearly 20 are injured.  Ramallah is a city in Judea/Samaria.  The head honcho (Palestinian presidency) there urged Damascus, Syria to protect the lives of the refugees in al-Raml camp in Latakia.  Latakia has been seeing Syrian tanks and armored vehicles around the dissident neighborhoods.  Services were cut before their security forces raided, made arrests and bombed, reported the residents.  Shelling had renewed on the Palestinian refugees in the districts of Al-Raml al-Filistini and al-Shaab.  There was heavy machine gun firing.  Latakia became besieged, stopping people from leaving.  Some Palestinians had fled their refugee camp on orders from the Syrian authorities, a U.N. official said.

Syrian soldiers are up in arms about terrorists using arms and dynamite reported Ayman Kasser, Syrian soldier who was shot in the leg when gunmen attacked his unit.  Others reported that the regime is finishing off armed gangs.  This unrest in Syria, which is Israel's neighbor, has caused 2,000 deaths so far.  The citizens want their President Assad of an Authoritarian Republic out.  Syria is home to 19,405,000 Sunni Arabs.

Palestine Authority Treasury Gets Half -Filled by USA
Nadene Goldfoot
Abbas and his Fatah people live in Judea and Samaria.  There have been terrorists from this group who are now residing in Israeli jails.    Unlike American jailbirds, these men receive a monthly wage from the Palestine Authority.  Of course, the more violent the crime the longer the sentence.  The longer the sentence, the more the salary.  This must be some kind of reward system of the Arabs to act out against Israel.  Hamas terrorists are included now in receiving salaries.

50% of the money in the Palestinian treasury comes from the USA and the rest is mostly from European Union member nations. As if that's not enough of a source, money is also flowing in from France, Britain, Ireland, Norway, Japan, India and the World Bank as well as from private donations into their general budget.  This was from the 2010-2011 budget.   The PA's budget is so vast that this money accounts for only 3.5% of its total budget.  If the sentence is up to 5 years, they receive 1,400 -2,000 NIS or tops $564.59.  If they serve 10-15 years they receive 6,000 shekels or $1,693.78.  The ones serving l5 years and longer receive 10,000 shekels or $2,822.97.  Those serving 20-30 years get 12,000 or $3,387.56.  These are people who were intentional murderers of civilians and they are rewarded.  These payments from the countries of the world to the PA remind me of paying the bully off so my lunch money wouldn't be wrestled from me.  It also happened in Chicago in the 20's when businesses had to pay off the criminals so that their stores would be left alone.  Their payments to the PA may not be so almighty altruistic:  or are they?

Some victims were American citizens.  Taxpayers in the USA are paying the salaries of murderers of Americans.  One of the latest victims was Ben Yosef Livnat who was gunned down in Shechem.  Shechem is so important to the Jewish history as it is the city where Abraham was told by G-d that he would be given the land.   Jacob settled here with his family.  It's in central Israel. It's on the route of the Patriarchs going from there to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Hebron.    I think this is one expense that should be eliminated immediately from our USA budget.

The Israeli jails are nothing like Turkish prisons. (True story of California lady tourist in Turkey put in Women's prison for buying a little figurine from a pestering seller on the street; Official later declared it was for buying valuable artifact)  Vacation is a more adequate descripition of being in jail for them.  They can mingle, have parties, study for advanced degrees, use facebook or even their 3G mobile smart phones.  They don't have to watch Israeli TV, but have their own Arab TV channels to watch.  Why is Israel being so kind to murderers?  Probably because the world is ready to pounce on any wrongdoing on their part, for they certainly don't care how many terrorists kill Jews.

Since 1967 600,000 Arabs have been in Israel's prisons.  Right now there are 8,000 political prisoners.  There are 11 Arab Syrians from the Golan Heights, 25 Jordanians, and 120 Palestinians with Israeli citizenship.
The wives and children of the terrorists receive more money.  If an Arab terrorist is an Israeli citizen, they receive a bonus.

Brain Washing Inside Palestinian Schools
Nadene Goldfoot
How does a state find so many willing martyrs ready to become walking bombs?  They start brainwashing children at a very early age.  This was displayed in a Palestinian kindergarten ceremony in a play put on by the children.  It was called "The Martyr's Wedding".  When they speak of the Martyr for Allah, they mean that he marries the 72 dark-eyed virgins of Paradise.   In this play that delighted the audience, they acted out roadblocks, occupation soldiers, and the death of the children as martyrs.  Then the audience did cry.  This is called Shalada, which is promoting the Islamic value of Martydom for Allah.

They are taught and sing about a Palestine that had been their home "no, it would not make us forget (Palestine).  Not at all."  This happens to be a lie, as there has never been a state of Palestine.  Most of them immigrated into the countryside when the Jews had returned and were building the cities once again.  They are not learning the true history of the country, only the make believe stories of their leaders.   Perhaps they are copying a prayer that Jews have been saying since the fall of Jerusalem in 70CE that says "May I lose my right hand if I forget Jerusalem".  However, taking one's own life is the last thing that a Jew would do.  For a Jew, L'Chaim is our favorite word which means "To Life!"

Palestine: Partner-to-be of Lebanon's Attack on Israel
Nadene Goldfoot
Lebanon has  become a terrorist stronghold supplied by Syria and obeying Iran, Ron Paul's "innocent" country.  They now have 50,000 rockets ready to use against Israel which is four times more than they had in 2006.  Villages near the border are now armed fortresses.

I remember when I lived in Safed and was on my way on a bus down the mountain in 1982 going to the hospital in Haifa to see about my broken arm when I saw our Israeli tanks and trucks on their way up.  They were going into Lebanon as the Palestinians terrorists had been killing the Lebanese Christian militia and Israelis who were helping Israel guard the border.  Sharon allowed his Christian Lebanese friend, Major Hadad and his men go in his place and they shocked us all by massacring their enemy  which got Israel into a lot of trouble.

Hezbollah, the Party of Allah, took over in May 2000 which in reality was a Shiite Muslim group with the backing of Iran fighting against the Sunni Muslims, Christians and Druze of Lebanon.  They went on to kill 241 US servicemen in Beirut.  By July they ambushed and killed 10 Israelis on the border.  Thousands of rockets were fired into Israel, killing 43 civilians.  Our great UN peacekeepers took over a month to impose a cease fire.  The Security Council Resolution 1701 allowed the international peacekeeping force to allow the enemy to get only 4 kilometers or 2.4 miles  from Israel's border.

If Palestine were an official state it would be able to aid and abet Lebanon against Israel as they both would have the same goal.  Palestinian terrorists are already being supplied by Iran with rockets and missles as it is.
Hezbolla trains Hamas militants and also works on arming Fatah and the Islamic Jihad.  Iran gives them diplomatic aid and weapons as well as $100 million per year for extras.

Right now Hezbollah has missiles from Iran capable of hitting all of Israel's ports and oil rigs off shore.  Between smuggling arms to Gaza by their friends, Israel's navy has to guard off-shore activities as well.

A large Muslim population lives in the Tri Border area of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina, known as the TBA.  The State Deppartment is investigating the possibility that Hezbollah and Hamas are fundraising there as it is known for its arms and drug traffic in this corridor.

The Sunni Muslims (Fatah and Hamas of Gaza and Judea/Samaria) and Shiite Muslims (Hezbollah  of Lebanon/Iran) are enemies at heart.  Look at what happened in Lebanon between the two groups.  During the Iraq-Iran War that started on September 22, 1980 a half million soldiers and civilians died from then till August of 1988 when it ended.  Iran  is 98% Shi'a and is an Islamic State and a theocracy while Iraq was 97% Shi'a/Sunni  with a state religiion and supposedly had a parliamentary democracy.  It was more a Shiite versus Sunni fight.  Iran may be backing these Sunnis now, but once in their pocket will overtake them.  Perhaps that is why they may be testing the waters of another arms supplier.

Israel Demonstrations About Housing Needs
Nadene Goldfoot with "Blintz" her German shepherd in Safed, Israel, February 1982.  She lives in the bottom apartment of one of the buildings with bars on the living room window to keep out terrorists.  It came with the apartment.

Israel is having internal problems of having sufficient housing for young adults to buy in Jerusalem.  There are mainly apartment buildings for people to buy  in the major cities in Israel, not family homes that we are used to in the USA.  They have become very expensive in Jerusalem.

The Interior Minister, Eli Yishai, has given his authorization to build 1,600 aparments in Jerusalem and is planning on approving 2,700 more in the coming days.  This will happen in East Jerusalem, the area the Palestinians are planning to take over as their capital.  Their plans have not included talking such things over with Israel and coming to terms of peace.

Israel has exercised de jure sovereignty (by lawful title)  in Jerusalem since 27 June 1967 and have stated that it will remain the undivided and eternal capital of the Jewish state.  In 2010 the Knesset passed legislation giving Jerusalem the highest national status in Israel.  It prioritized construction in all the city and offered grants and tax benefits to residents to make housing, infrastructure, education, employment, business, tourism and other events more affordable.

Analysts are saying that this building will probably hurt Washington in dissuading the PA that are planning to go to the United Nations to declare their statehood in September.  At one time, Israel's building in land obtained due to the 67 War was thought to be the impedus speed up the Palestinians' decision to sit down and come to peace terms with Israel, but it didn't happen.  Instead of allowing the land to go fallow in the past 44 years of indecision on the Arab's part, Israel is making use of it.  Abu Rudaineh is asking the USA and EU to pressure Israel to stop building. Saeb Erekat, Chief PLO negotiator calls the project of building a "war crime".

Israel needs housing badly. Demonstrators creating a rally have been taking over Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv by erecting tents there like a tent city to show their need for housing. They now plan to do it in Be'ersheva. One of the draws in Tel Aviv were free musical performances by many of Israel's top musicians who came and played at the rally.  A run is also being planned as a form of demonstration.

Israel was even mentioned with shock on Fox News as a place outside of the USA where demonstrators were active while in a discussion about why London was rioting and burning.

Jerusalem's Jewish history goes back to King David in 1010 BCE when he defeated the Jebusites and made Jerusalem the administrative capital.  It was captured in 597 BCE when Nebuchadnezzar razed it and deported most all the Jews to Babylon in 586 BCE.  It again came into the Jewish hands but was lost in 70 CE to the Roman attack.  It is the most important site in Israel and has been in the prayers every day to not forget it, and "Next year in Jerusalem" has been said every year since the loss.  Jerusalem is mentioned 600 times in the Tanakh (Old Testement).  One cannot deny that Jerusalem belongs to the Jewish state.  It took an act of G-d to bring it back into Israel's hands once again when Israel was attacked by the surrounding Arabs states in 1967 in what was called "Six Day War" and won despite the odds, something of a huge miracle. Because of the Arab action to eradicate Israel and its population, Jordan lost East Jerusalem.  It is not up for grabs.

25 Rockets Fired in July into Southern Israel
New terrorist groups are venting their anger at Abbas and their own Hamas leadership by striking Israel on their own.  These are affiliated with al-Qaeda and other global jihad groups, but not necessarily Hamas or Islamic Jihad, according to reports.   4 rockets had been fired in June.  They're stepping up.  Since January 2011, over 340 rockets and mortars fired from Gaza hit Southern Israel.  Israel's IDF holds the Hamas terrorist group solely responsible for any firing from Gaza.

While running to shelter, and people only have a few minutes to get there, 5 people were wounded and had to be taken to Ashkelon's Barzelai Hospital.

The Israeli Air Force responded with a strike on 4 smuggling tunnels and one terror base in Gaza.

Sirens and Grad Rockets Again in Southern Israel

After a quiet spell,   the air raid sirens sounded again Wednesday night in several towns and cities in Southern Israel.  People rushed to safe areas and shelters in order to take cover.  They only have a few minutes.  A Beduin woman was moderately injured by shrapnel from a Grad  rocket on Monday.

The Grad rocket exploded in Lachish, Kiryat Gat within Ashkelon's boundaries and damaged a road.  This is a longer ranged rocket and implies an escalation of this type.

Israel's answer came hours later with the air force retaliating by bombing targets in Gaza.
