The Hamas charter, a theological covenant with Allah, which takes the motto of its parent organization, The Muslim Brotherhood, as its own: states the following:
Allah is its goal, the Prophet its model to be followed,
the Koran its constitution, Jihad its way,
and death for the sake of Allah its loftiest desire
Article Seven of the covenant justifies its anti-Semitic mission to obliterate Israel with the notorious hadith authenticated by the two most authoritative hadith scholars in Islam, Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim:
The hour of judgment shall not come until the Muslims fight
The Jews and kill them, so that the Jews hide behind trees and stones,
And each tree and stone will say: 'Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah,
there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him ...
the Koran its constitution, Jihad its way,
and death for the sake of Allah its loftiest desire

Now, as one can see, Hamas's charter states to kill Jews, and Jews live next door to them in Israel. Until this terrorist organization, officially deemed a terrorist organization in 1995 by presidential order and again in 1997 called a foreign terrorist organization, changes course and reverses their charter into a peaceful statement, Israel can not trust them at their word at all, like Jimmy Carter does.
Why is the monograph which is an apologia for Hamas written by Sherifa Zuhur taken seriously by the U.S. Army War College, then? Are they siding with Hamas? Sherifa is a woman PhD in Middle East History. She has been at MIT, U of C, Berkeley, USLA, and the American U in Cairo. Her BA is in Political Science and Arabic and Arabic Literature and her Masters is in Islamic Studies. She is obviously siding with Hamas and forgetting what it's charter stands for. The US Army War College needs to remember this fact.
One needs to remember that the Middle East is different from our Western experiences. There is a story about a scorpion and a tortoise who want to cross the sea. The scorpion promises to direct the tortoise if he would give him a ride on his back. The tortoise agrees. In the middle of the sea the scorpion bites the tortoise. Of course he dies in the middle of the sea. This is the Middle East.
I'm sure Sherifa knows this story. How the American army can be led to think that the Hamas is not a terrorist group is beyond my comprehension. I only hope there are still some people around who think for themselves and will not allow themselves to be brainwashed.
