Tourist Bus in Egypt Exploded By Terrorists

Nadene Goldfoot
The Taba border crossing is between Egypt and Israel and is near Eilat.  A tourist bus carrying 30 tourists of many nationalities suddenly exploded while on the Egyptian side killing 5 people of which 4 were from Korea and injuring 14 others.  Egypt has had to deal with terrorists from Jihad and al Qaeda more frequently since Morsi is on trial and has stirred up the Muslim Brotherhood to attack.  This happened Sunday, Egypt time.  Egypt is about 12 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time.

"The bus was on its way to Israel at the time, after visiting St. Catherine’s monastery in the Sinai."  They believe a bomb exploded in front of the bus.

Counterterrorism in Gaza: AQAP Saudi Cell Caught With Poison Chemicals

Nadene Goldfoot
Last Sunday, August 26, 3 rockets hit Sderot, Israel which lies just a few miles from the Gaza Strip border.  This time 2 workmen were injured.  On the very same day, 2 terrorist cells were captured in Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.  Both were created by Al Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula  This group, AQAP, has ordered its Sinai cells and the Egyptian and Palestinian branches to step up their attacks from Sinai and the Gaza Strip.  AQAP is an al--Qaeda group who revere Osama bin Laden of Yemen and Saudi Arabia.  The Saudi government evidently chased them into Yemen, whose government is also against them.

The AQAP have been found with not only weapons and explosives, but chemical substances for loading into explosive charges.  This type of evidence was found in 2002 when a bomb was found packed with poison chemicals and was detonated by a Palestinian suicide killer in Jerusalem.  It is feared that those weapons may also now be in the Sinai.

The result was 3 Qassam missiles fired into the industrial zone of Sderot-Shear Hanegev.   This started an even stronger anti-Israel offensive from Gaza.  The group in Gaza shooting is the Shura Council that is actually from the East Jerusalem area who are a 6,000 force of well-armed terrorists commanded by an Egyptian, Hisham Saydani.  Al Qaeda calls him Abu al-Walid al-Maqdisi.  His lieutenants and he serve as liaisons between the Sinai cells and the AQAP in Yemen.

Hamas terrorists who rule Gaza were holding Saydani in a special security prison cell until 2 weeks ago when they let him go.  He set up the Shura Council's attack near Rafah.  They killed 16 Egyptian soldiers and rammed the Kerem Shalom crossing barrier into Israel.    Egypt demanded that Hamas find and arrest them. The 3 missile strike on Sderot was warning Hamas to stay away from Saydani and his new group or they'd keep striking Sderot until the IDF would attack Hamas's areas.

Hitting Eilat, Israel on August 17 was also a warning to Cairo to stop looking for the Salafi terrorists in Sinai or else southern Israel would continue to be hit, bringing out the IDF strikes.

Sderot Home, Family Hit Twice in 5 Years

Nadene Goldfoot

School started in southern Israel and the children were greeted by more rockets raining on their countryside from Gazan terrorists.  The IDF retaliated by hitting a munitions depot on Tuesday in response to the shelling.

Rockets from Gaza terrorists have been raining on southern Israel almost daily since 2001.  Since January of this year, 450 rockets have fallen into southern Israel.   It happened again just this morning.  The town most hit is Sderot, which is just a few miles away from the Gaza Strip border.  Sure enough, the Timsit family's home was hit 5 years ago in 2007, and again this morning.  The house was damaged and the woman in the house at the time was traumatized.  I would be too, if a rocket hit the roof of my house and came through.

An Al Qaeda affiliated group were the attackers, the Mujahedeen Shura Committee, who are spread out in the Sinai and in Gaza.  They are retaliating, they said.  I can't figure that one because what Israel does is go after the sources after an attack on Israel.  This group had also attacked with a  rocket barrage earlier this week as well.  They take responsibility for previous attacks, too.   They just keep on shelling and there aren't excuses they can hide behind except their unreasonable hatred for Israel.

A second rocket, causing the red alert alarm to cry out, fell in an open field.  On Thursday evening a rocket landed in the Ashkelon area north of Sderot.

How Qatar's Outlook Affects Jews, the USA and Even London

Nadene Goldfoot
Sheik Yusuf. Al-Qaradawi has a most mixed attitude towards Jews. He is the Islamic spokesman in Qatar.   and has recently put out a fatwa against all Jews, but had made comments in the past that were more accepting of our religious people.

He came into my spotlight not too long ago when Qatar was the sponsor for Arabic classes in our local Portland high school, Lincoln High.  This classroom  teacher was responsible for bringing in a hip-hop Palestinian group whose degradation of Israel caused Jewish students at Lincoln to be quite upset.  Come to find out, Qatar is in the education business among other things, and had sponsored another school here as well as in other spots throughout the USA.  Their religious leader is the Egyptian who sought refuge in Qatar, Sheik Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, who happens to be a radical Muslim Brotherhood organizer and who broadcasts over al-Jazeera TV.

As long as you don't advocate the existence of Israel, you're an okay Jew in his eyes.  This was shown in May 2008 when he spoke with the visiting rabbis from Hareda, the anti-zionist Neturei Karta sect.  Qaradawi said, ".There is no enmity between Muslims and Jews...Jews who believe in the authentic Torah are very close to Muslims."  He said he believed that our relations became strained with the emergence of Zionism and the establishment of Israel and said that Muslims are against the expansionist, oppressive Zionist movement, not the Jews.  I wish somebody could explain to him that Jews are only trying to live on the speck of land granted to them through much hard with with the British Empire who held the responsibility of the land.   In fact, 80% of what was decided to be the Jewish Homeland was turned over to the Arabs.   In fact, according to Islamic goals, it is Islam who is trying to regain another Islamic Empire again.  For starters, they advocate taking Jerusalem and refuse to even see our Jewish connection with the city.

Qaradawi was forced to leave Egypt in 1961 and went to Qatar then.  He is viewed by many as the #1 spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.  He has been banned from the the USA since 1999, UK in 2008 and France in 2012.

Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani is the King of Qatar. His father was Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani and mother was Sheikha al-Atiyyah.  In 2011 when visiting the White House he made it known that the issue important to him was to establish a Palestinian state.  This small country or state has 744,029 citizens.  Workers that immigrated to work there are not counted.  77.5% are Sunni Muslims of the fiqh Hanbali in this Muslim  state.  Many of their college aged people study in the states and we have people there studying as well.   Qaradawi has written many fiqhs of his own, such as az Zakat and al Jihad.

Qatar just made the news because the Qatari monarchy, who seems to be made up of the relatives of al-Thani, just bought 1/5 of BAA.  This means he bought a piece of Europe's busiest airport.  Seems as if London's Heathrow Airport is the busiest of any airports anywhere in Europe or the USA.  Their operator is BAA Limited who operates many airports in the UK.  They include 2 in London and 2 in Scotland.

Qatar's royal family has many faces shown to the USA.  Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has been found to have plotted attacks against the USA and the Sheikh al-Thani allowed him to continue.  He was the mastermind of 9/11.  He had been behind the coordination of the mass air bombing plot with his nephew, Ramzi Yousef, who was behind the World Trade Center attack.  The big secret just revealed is the connection Qataris have with Al-Qaeda, the terrorist group.  Jihadists are even reporting that they trained in Qatar.  Bin Laden was hosted by Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid al-Thani before the Khobar Towers bombing that killed 19 Americans in Saudi Arabia  on June 25, 1996.  .

I'm wondering if Qatar might now be more interested in making a profit than using airports to assist terrorists and destroy airplanes.  They're not just into oil, but are high rollers with Harrods,  Barclays, the London Stock Exchange,Canary Wharf, the Shard, a new pyramidal glass skyscraper over London.  In fact, they may have now replaced the House of Windsor as the monarchy with the money.

They even have competition with Abu Dhabi's royalty.  When you start with oil, you can invest big time.

Kiryat Shimona Under Rocket Attack-1980-1985

Nadene Goldfoot
My favorite town north of Safed received rocket fire from Lebanon again. I remember living in Safed from 1980 to 1985 and this situation happened all the time. Kiryat Shimona was populated by a lot of American Jews and they were in dire need of a psychologist to soothe their anxiety. We were attending a 10 month ulpan at the time, and at Spring Break one of our friends went there to visit and wound up living in the bomb shelter for about two weeks. She was out of communication and we had no idea what had happened to her. The town held my favorite department store, the Hamishbeer, so similar to Meier and Franks here in Portland. I loved that store. When they were under a lot of fire I prayed that the department store would be spared. It was.

Now it's happened again, and I can feel the angst of the people living there. Though it missed its target and caused no damage or injury, it surely causes a lot of hearts to beat faster and mothers to feel a lot of concern for their children. The rocket came from the village of Houla.

Israel answered with artillery fire at Lebanon. The Lebanese reported that we fired at least eight shells toward that area in response. The border may now be quiet but it is tense.

Both sides accuse each other of violating a UN brokered ceasefire from 2006 that ended a month-long war between Israel and the Hezbollah terrorists. Lebanon is accusing Israel of planting listening devices and to overflight of an unmanned drone surveillance aircraft over southern Lebanon. Israel accuses Lebanon of two recent blasts involving weapons storage depots in southern Lebanon, and two rockets fired from Lebanon at northern Israel last month. A militant group connected to al Qaeda took responsibility for the rocket attack then.

It looks to me like Lebanon is involved with hiding weapons (to use against Israel, of course) and of taking pot-shots at Israel when they so want to, and Israel is trying to use surveilance to find out what they're planning to do to Israel. Of course Lebanon doesn't want Israel to find out, so again with the complaints and shootings.

We used to drive to Kiriat Shimona in order to get to the Good-Neighbor Fence between the two countries. I wonder what has happened to it.

Comment 10/27/09 from Victor Sharpe: The "good neighbor fence" died because Ehud Barak let our Lebanese allies, under General Hadad, down by withdrawing Israeli troops suddenly from the 10 mile wide security zone. He did this dreadful act in response to the campaign of the "Women in Black" who agitated for Israel to leave the security zone in Lebanon, which had protected Israel's northern border. Predictably, the vacuum was immediately filled with Hezbolah, and the Lebanese Christian allies who had supported us were left to twist in the wind. Barak did this and should be covered in shame. Israel cannot afford to lose such good friends. That was the ending of the "good neighbor fence" because we betrayed those neighbors and succumbed to the Israeli leftist "Mothers in Black." Now we have sixty thousand missiles pointing at Israel from Lebanon. Meshugas!

Obama Demanding, Israel Digging Heels In

Nadene Goldfoot
The Palestinians are getting very creative in fighting Israel with other tools besides bombs. Shin Bet, Israel's security service disclosed that both Fatah and Hamas groups were active in east Jerusalem to prevent Jews from buying property. An Egyptian cleric, Sheik Youssef al-Qaradawi, has $25 million to be given to Hamas activists in Jerusalem. Yes, they are there infiltrating, so we know that that part of Palestine will be fighting against Israel despite what Abbas has intimated. They are not going to be a peaceful group. Abbas lost the power he had in Gaza. This Sheik is a regular on the satellite Al-Jazeera network and a well known person to Arabs. He wants to buy apartments and plots of land and they say "build charitable institutions to broaden its base in the city". Hamas is a terrorist group and it is barred from operating in Jerusalem. Jerusalem still belongs to Israel. Saeb Erekat, Palestinian negotiator, said that Jewish expansion in east Jerusalem jeopardizes peace efforts, and Palestinians have refused to talk about peace until Israel halts all settlement expansion. They want Jerusalem.

They forget that peace efforts are useless anyway because the Palestinians seem to be divided with Abbas operating in the "West Bank" which is Judea and Samaria. While Gaza is ruled by the terrorists, Hamas, whose only goal is to get rid of Israel by any means, they will work at taking over Judea and Samaria from Abbas.

Foreigners have been getting into Gaza who are connected to global jihad. Of course, Fathi Hamad, the interior minister in Gaza, said that the charge was baseless propaganda. He said that there is no al Qaeda or any other group in Gaza. This information came from Yuval Diskin, head of Shin Bet in Israel, so I don't think he's wrong. Israeli intelligence has saved people many a time. They're probably the best in the world at gathering facts.

Now at the same time, Obama is demanding that Israel stop their planned housing project in east Jerusalem. In fact, Washington has summoned Michael Oren, Israel's ambassador, and told him that a project planned to create 20 apartments developed by an American should not go ahead. Netanyahu is resisting these American demands on "settlement expansion". "Settlements" is a political term used by Americans which denote something we saw in the wild west, people settling and land belonging only to the Indians. Jews do not or should not refer to building in Jerusalem as creating a settlement. Jerusalem is our eternal city and has been a part of our world since King David. Jerusalem is Jewish and there has been no restriction by Jews of keeping other people out such as the Arabs did until 1967 when Israel survived a huge attack and won.

Today Netanyahu told his Cabinet that there would be no limits on Jewish construction anywhere in "UNIFIED JERUSALEM." This we cannot accept. The idea that we can't be entitled to live and buy anywhere in Jerusalem is terrible. Israel has sovereignty over the whole city and is indisputable. What would happen if Jews could not live in certain neighborhoods in New York, London, Paris or Rome? That's what is being suggested for Jerusalem. Need I remind readers that Israel lost many lives in 1967 defending themselves when attacked. They earned the right to live in Jerusalem, but the world closes their minds at the circumstances and history. No Jew or Christian was allowed there under Arab rule. Graves were desecrated by human feces and urinating and destruction. Everyone is allowed there under Israel's rule. Everyone is much better off with Israel's ownership. People think this is a hotbed of turmoil because there are holy sites there of Jewish, Christian and Muslims. The Palestinians are trying to take it over by using the ploy that they intend for it to be their capital of their future state.

Meanwhile, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the administration was trying to reach an agreement with Israelis and the negotiations are ongoing and intense. I bet they are with words like DEMAND. We all wondered if Netanyahu could stand up to such pressure, and it looks like he is.

We have rejected Obama's demand to stop the housing project. Almost 300,000 Israelis live in Judea and Samaria, and about 180,000 Israelis live in Jewish neighborhoods in east Jerusalem. That's right. Jews live there, too, and they would all have to leave if Abbas gets his way. He wants his state to be rid of Jews even though over a million Arabs live in Israel. In Israel you have a Democracy. In Palestine there will be no such thing; discrimination against Jews will prevail. I think Obama just wants to check off this problem quickly and has chosen his favorite side. He wants to accomplish what other past presidents haven't-the creation of Palestine. Well, I guess 23 Arab nations in the world and the future demise of Israel doesn't bother him, for he is trying to bring about only destructive things against this little state.
