Large Terrorist Attack Cost an IDF Death'

Nadene Goldfoot
A large terrorist attack which would probably have resulted in a killing spree either inside Israel or along the border was stopped by the IDF who were ambushed.  What were the IDF soldiers doing?  They had been giving water to a group of African migrants who had arrived at the border trying to cross into Israel.

As they were doing that good deed, a heavily armed terrorist cell from the Sinai Peninsula opened fire on them, killing Netanel Yahalomi, age 20, and injuring another.    The shots came from a distance of 100 meters.  Netanel was killed immediately with a bullet wound to his head.  The soldiers instantly returned fire and shot and killed 2 of the terrorists.  A group of Border Patrol soldiers also responded, gave chase and killed the 3rd.

One of the terrorists was wearing a suicide bomb belt and it went off.  Shrapnel from that injured one soldier enough to rush him to Be'ersheba where he was operated on.  IDF sappers recovered a lot of firearms and explosives after the incident including an RPD machine gun and a rocket propelled grenade, Kalashnikov guns, ammunition, grenades and personal equipment.  They were dressed as civilians.

Of course it happened along the border where the fence hasn't yet been completed.

"Border security incidents have increased over the past 18 months as a wave of lawlessness has gripped the Sinai since the overthrow of veteran Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak."

Civilian Worker Killed by Terrorists Along Security Fence

Nadene Goldfoot
1500 Israeli workers are employed in adding on more fencing along the Egyptian-Israel Security Fence. It's going to run for 165 miles  from Eilat to the Gaza Strip and is planned to be finished by the end of the year.

On Monday, 3 terrorists from the Sinai area crossed the border and stalked 2 vehicles used by defense contractors building the new border fence.  The terrorists used PRG rockets, explosives and artillery fire in the dune sector around Nahal Lavan and killed Said Phashpashe (Sa'ed Fachachte), 36 years old Arab Israeli who was one of the men in one of the vehicles.

IDF Golani soldiers, minutes away,  killed two of the terrorists.  One had an explosive device like some sort of bomb strapped on his body and it had exploded when shot.  The soldiers found AK -47 rifles, grenades, uniforms and munitions on the ground.

The surrounding area went on high alert which was not lifted till noontime.  The fear was that terrorists had infiltrated through the fencing.

The terrorist attack came about as soon as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt claimed victory in their "elections."  Since 2011 when Mubarak lost power and control, Israel has been alarmed by the violations happening along the border and fear a lawlessness happening.

The need for the fence is now twofold: to keep out terrorists who are bent on killing and the influx of African migrants who have descended illegally in large numbers on Israel through Egypt's border.

West Bank to Receive Ammunition Foiled

Nadene Goldfoot

Judea/Samaria "West Bank" had people in Florida ready to ship them arms. And for why? Supposedly Palestinians living under the guidance of Abbas wanted to make peace with Israel.

A Cuban has come over to Florida and made friends with Palestinians living in Hialeah. In May 2009 Yanny Aguila Urbay, 24 from Cuba, was the go-between for his 23 year old partner, Abdalaziz Aziz Hamayel, in buying hundreds of stolen high powered rifles, grenades and explosives to be sent to the West Bank His problem was that he was dealing with a police officer, Pete Perez, in Miami.

Aguila's partner who lived in Coral Gables wanted to buy 300 M-16 rifles for a possible $1,300 each. They wanted M-16s with silencers, 200 grenades, 200 IEDs totaling $380,000 with a discount of $120,000. Hamayel was interested in buying cell-phone and remote-control detonators.

Hamayel told Policeman Perez that he was interested in buying the cache for his people "over there," meaning the Palestinian Authority of which Abbas is the head. He was video-taped dealing inside a vehicle and handling guns, grenades and other ammunition. Hamayel went to Jordan, then came back to Chicago and finally Miami where he was arrested.

This tells me that Israel has to be more than careful about armed dissinence in Judea and Samaria. All are not peaceful there.
